The tool just keeps getting better, it's my go to recommendation to anyone starting in the torch world. Good price good performance and great reliability.
Wow. That has outlasted my more expensive Olight S2A baton (6.5 years). I'm currently using a Tool AA 2.0 as my main light, and it is just 6 months old. So far, so good.
Just ordered this Tool 3.0 and also the ACEBEAM Pokelit AA 1000LM. They are very similar but the tool comes with a bit more extras and the turbo might last longer on the Tool 3.0. Cant wait to try them out.
I was ready to buy the SP10 pro, but the size of the Tool winned me over. Even if the SP10 is bigger and with a nicer temperature and ergonomics, at this format I'm looking at the lightest and smallest possible flashlight and the Tool is unbeatable at its size, specially with the magnetic cap which makes it even better. For pure workforce, non-EDC focused tasks (and no mouth operations, lol) I stick with my awesome IF23 and go all the way up to singe 21700 territory.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV That is what I thought...that it was definitely more blue. I wonder if another one would be less blue? They're fairly cheap, so I might try one.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Hmmm.......well,...that's not my fav, for sure. I do like the really small lights, at times. Not all that bright, but useful for most situations people need them for.
When you are explaining the UI against the white wall the beam looks pretty terrible? I cancelled my green V3 order and instead ordered a Sofirn SP36Pro with batteries for £14 more! Now that's value! Besides I have two Tool AA V2 and I never really liked them with the 14500 (Preferred my 1000 lumen Trustfire L2 using the same Cree led) so just use the Tool AAs with nimh around the house and for that they are good. I prefer the 14500 Acebeams and the Sofirn SP10 is not bad either. A nicer beam and I would definitely go for the V3 but it doesn't look any better than the V2 oh and unless you use an nimh or Alkaline you don't get a proper low mode so another little issue but same with the L2.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Wow, nice admit. I prefer my SC21Pro over my SP10 V3 just, but the 10 obviously is handier being AA compatible. Mostly I use the Nichia Acebeams Pokelit/Rider and also the 1000lumen Pokelit Grey/TAC AA and my Olight 90CRI i5r I like also.
I’ll keep EDCing my Olight i3t and i5r with the much better pocket clips. Pocket clips for me are a deal breaker. It’s like the pocket clips on some lights was and after thought. It’s like car companies that offer really nice automobiles with ugly crappy wheels on them.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Ok that's good. I think you wrote in an old comment that the if25 is your "favorite" flashlight, is it still ? Or do you have a new one, the if25 is discontinued anyways..
How to spoil nice torch? Put two cups on choice. One drain your battery with useless LED on it, other should contain magnet. For those people who have credit cards or expensive mechanical watch magnetic cup is something better to avoid. So then we will dry your battery with another one. Great.

This is better than the 2.0 too as the 2.0 didn't have a step down and got very toasty.
These have been my favorite AA sized light. GITD diffuser. Choice of tail cap. And now even brighter... Just wish there was a moonlight mode.
Over the past 8 - 9 years, my tool AA v1 is still my most used flashlight out of the dozens I've collected.

Xeno E03 v3 was great and beautiful. Unfortunately, it broke after a few years 😓

Nice light, but the Sofirn has the edge for me in the AA world. Still happy with my old school O-light too, before they no longer accepted 14500’s
Lumintop finally seem to have designed a good driver for this light.
Finally!! 3.0,🎉👍👍👍but still no deep carry & reversible pocket clip😢
Use the Lumintop EDC AA clip. Fits perfect
I wish they would finally make a usable clip!.. other then that tools are great lights

Thank you I’ve been waiting for this review
My pleasure, I didn't realise that not many folks had reviewed it yet. I'm usually the last to get a light!
Seems as though, to me, the Sofirn has the most pleasant color output. But of course, that's subjective. Great review of this light, though!
This one is noticeably blue. But LEDs can differ from one to the next.

@@DRayL_ I suspect it'll have some lilac tinge to it as most reflector flashlights seem to have these days.

Excellent review! I have this light but haven't used it yet, just checked if it worked.
@nikolay821 mine still works, so does my 2.0.
more than 7 years of wearing Eagletac D25A, tried more than 20 and stopped again but this time on D3A //
I hope they can release some more tactical ore low key color… bought a green and red one, really hope they can make black color
I just need snow camo lights in my life

I’m curious what CRI it has 🤔
how is the 3.0 version any better than the previous 2.0?
Thanks

The RGB rear switch light is draining the battery and can't switched off?

Where can you buy the EDC AA clip?
Will it support Duracell Rechargeable AA 2500mAh batteries ?
