From a Blackburn fan, pretty much exact same situation as you in 2017. Went down on 51 points and lost out on goal difference to forest. I remember promotion from league 1 and that whole season, with so much more fondness and happy memories than the mid table champ finishes all these seasons later. You'll have players to remember for decades to come and new legends of the club, winning most games along the way. Should you bounce back straight away I'm sure you wont mind it at all, despite the bigger aims you want to achieve.

Another brilliantly made and put together video. Professionally done and shows your passion for the club. I still can't quite believe what's happened. I think we all know the mistakes that were made that have contributed to us getting relegated. It's a massive summer ahead now. There is so much work that needs to be done. Made all the more difficult now we're a League One club. Of course, some decisions were and are still easy to make regardless of our league status. The scenes at the end of the game were embarrassing and sadly a small minority let the fans down. The stewards didn't cover themselves in glory either, so that's an area that needs attention, although I don't want to see that sort of thing happen again. It's hard to think about all the optimism at the start of the season and look at where we've ended up. You couldn't have made this season up. Well.... 2024/25 is going to be one hell of an interesting ride. I just hope we can bounce back at the first time of asking. Have a great summer. KRO 💙

It's tempting to gloat, but I do feel for you lot. From the moment Eustace was sacked I thought 'here we go again'. Quite staggering incompetence from the new owners, especially after what happened with Rowett previously. Didn't they know?!? For the other 3 teams to win? Jeez. Typical Blues. As a Villa fan I came here expecting to laugh at Birmingham's misfortune. Left feeling the urge to leave a comment as the realisation sank in that such a massive club has ended up somewhere it shouldn't be through sheer ownership incompetence. I read up on what happened regarding being 6th, then the terrible management changes that caused all of this. Reminds me a little of when we had the crazy Chinese owner who hadn't a clue how to run a club. The midlands is a hub of footballing talent, we proudly have some excellent teams within our wider catchment area, Birmingham going down is a sad day for the region. I hope you rebuild and bounce back quickly.

Hoping we come straight back up else the club is going nowhere again. A sad day but I and everyone else is used to it by now. We're all numb to it all. Pretty much since that last Blues - Villa game, we've all been a shadow of ourselves. We're lost so I really hope we can stop feeling sorry for ourselves and get back into a position where we could play each other again. Playing you lot means something and today was one of the first games in a long time that meant something. The club owe it to us and we as a family spend an awful lot travelling home and away without any of the reward. For Villa it's probably a bit more expensive but finishing 4th and making a European semi-final... Not even competition. 29 months ago I was supporting a poor, mid-table, League One team with no hope of ever achieving anything. Today we were promoted to the Premier League with largely the same players. So you can do it and you'll win a lot more games next season. It's fun beating teams 6-0. You had a big crowd today too.

It happened to Saints around 15 years ago. We started our first League One season with minus 10 points so it could be worse for you! We just missed out on the play offs in the first season, but then were promoted through League One in our second season and then The Championship the following season before spending over 10 years back in The Prem. Some of those League One away days were the best especially Plymouth away when we pretty much secured promotion. It’s not all doom and gloom. Chin up.

Yes, the different managers did not help but 100% it's down to the players. Some couldn't even pass the ball straight. Far too long blues have put up with seriously poor players and performances. We were given the chance to play the two bottom teams to stay up and our players did not perform !! We need to re-build with forward passing, attacking footballers.

I've witnessed four relegations for my team Argyle over the years. It hurts, but I've usually forgotten about it by the first game of the following season. We bounced back up in one season from L2 a few years ago. It wasnt easy as we were seen as a scalp at the time due to our size, the smaller teams raised their game against us. You should promote at the first time, but it will not be simple as you will be seen as a cup final for most teams down there. E.t.a, please smash Exeter for us next season 👌

As a Wednesdayite who spent over a decade in the West Mids its sad to see Blues go down. Seen more games at St Andrews than any other ground bar Hillsborough. Hope you're soon back up, but getting out of League One is hard and gets financially more punishing every year.
To go down on 50 points is tough... Shows how difficult the championship is becoming. However if Bolton get promoted might only be Brum and Reading of significant size down there... So fully expect you to bounce back.
I'd say it's getting worse to be honest. Standard of football this season has been very poor and I think it's tight because of that. League One will still be tricky despite us being one of the bigger clubs down there. Teams are on the rise though like Wrexham and Stockport. They'll certainly be no push overs. As a Huddersfield it’s mad how similar our seasons have been. New American owners, binning off decent managers appointing terrible ones. League one looks weak. Both of us have money to invest. Honestly good windows and us two should comfortably be top 2. It’s a horrible league to get stuck in as we’ve found out previously.
Today has been tough to take,really tough. We came down again from Wigan today to watch the Blues….. I typing and I’m still a bit emotional. I thought we were done after Cardiff and I expected us to go down today. I’ve been here before and it’s shit …….just shit. Fans were brilliant today but these players (apart from Jay Stansfiekd ) can all fuck off. 30 years ago I watched us go down at tranmere and I lived it again today. I still can't quite believe what's happened.
I think we all know the mistakes that were made that have contributed to us getting relegated.
It's a massive summer ahead now. There is so much work that needs to be done. Made all the more difficult now we're a League One club. Of course, some decisions were and are still easy to make regardless of our league status.
The scenes at the end of the game were embarrassing and sadly a small minority let the fans down. The stewards didn't cover themselves in glory either, so that's an area that needs attention, although I don't want to see that sort of thing happen again.
It's hard to think about all the optimism at the start of the season and look at where we've ended up. You couldn't have made this season up.
Well.... 2024/25 is going to be one hell of an interesting ride. I just hope we can bounce back at the first time of asking.

Fair to suggest we got what we deserved (Rotherham and Huddersfield proved that) .... + the Rooney style of play that left a huge gap in front of our defence that others capitalised ruthlessly, but "Flog on" and rebuild in L1 net season.

As a Villa fan I came here expecting to laugh at Birmingham's misfortune. Left feeling the urge to leave a comment as the realisation sank in that such a massive club has ended up somewhere it shouldn't be through sheer ownership incompetence. I read up on what happened regarding being 6th, then the terrible management changes that caused all of this. Reminds me a little of when we had the crazy Chinese owner who hadn't a clue how to run a club.
The midlands is a hub of footballing talent, we proudly have some excellent teams within our wider catchment area, Birmingham going down is a sad day for the region. I hope you rebuild and bounce back quickly.

Although i remember well how you guys celebrated our relegation I'm not going to take a cheap shot. A rebuild is a must. We got very lucky with our new owners and although stevie g was a mistake Unai is tremendous. You guy's need some of this luck. The right people in the right positions. Theres little point discussing bad decisions made. Next season the club will need your support more ever. After decades if under achieving i really feel your club owes you, for your loyally. Fair play mate. It's bloody difficult, it really is. You've got a right in recent years where we haven't. Next season's going to be challenging. Hoping we come straight back up else the club is going nowhere again. A sad day but I and everyone else is used to it by now. We're all numb to it all. Pretty much since that last Blues - Villa game, we've all been a shadow of ourselves. We're lost so I really hope we can stop feeling sorry for ourselves and get back into a position where we could play each other again. Playing you lot means something and today was one of the first games in a long time that meant something. The club owe it to us and we as a family spend an awful lot travelling home and away without any of the reward. For Villa it's probably a bit more expensive but finishing 4th and making a European semi-final... Not even competition.

Rotherham fan, amazing vlog as always guys! I'm absolutely gutted for Blues. I've seen Rotherham get relegated numerous times, it's a horrible feeling. But in the long run, I think Birmingham will be absolutely fine, at least you're going into League One with competent ownership that is willing to invest.

29 months ago I was supporting a poor, mid-table, League One team with no hope of ever achieving anything. Today we were promoted to the Premier League with largely the same players. So you can do it and you'll win a lot more games next season. It's fun beating teams 6-0. You had a big crowd today too.

Sacking John Eustace was a big mistake.
It happened to Saints around 15 years ago. We started our first League One season with minus 10 points so it could be worse for you! We just missed out on the play offs in the first season, but then were promoted through League One in our second season and then The Championship the following season before spending over 10 years back in The Prem. Some of those League One away days were the best especially Plymouth away when we pretty much secured promotion. It’s not all doom and gloom. Chin up.

Yes, the different managers did not help but 100% it's down to the players. Some couldn't even pass the ball straight. Far too long blues have put up with seriously poor players and performances. We were given the chance to play the two bottom teams to stay up and our players did not perform !! We need to re-build with forward passing, attacking footballers.
Owls fan here. Awful day for your team...as a footie fan, you go through desperate lows and fantastic highs. No doubt you'll be full of optimism at the beginning of next season..that blind faith we all cling to!

I've witnessed four relegations for my team Argyle over the years. It hurts, but I've usually forgotten about it by the first game of the following season. We bounced back up in one season from L2 a few years ago. It wasnt easy as we were seen as a scalp at the time due to our size, the smaller teams raised their game against us. You should promote at the first time, but it will not be simple as you will be seen as a cup final for most teams down there. E.t.a, please smash Exeter for us next season 👌

To go down on 50 points is tough... Shows how difficult the championship is becoming. However if Bolton get promoted might only be Brum and Reading of significant size down there... So fully expect you to bounce back.
I'd say it's getting worse to be honest. Standard of football this season has been very poor and I think it's tight because of that. League One will still be tricky despite us being one of the bigger clubs down there. Teams are on the rise though like Wrexham and Stockport. They'll certainly be no push overs. Really hope we can bounce back straight away. Club's going nowhere if we can't...

As a Huddersfield it’s mad how similar our seasons have been. New American owners, binning off decent managers appointing terrible ones.
League one looks weak. Both of us have money to invest. Honestly good windows and us two should comfortably be top 2. It’s a horrible league to get stuck in as we’ve found out previously.
Today has been tough to take,really tough. We came down again from Wigan today to watch the Blues….. I typing and I’m still a bit emotional. I thought we were done after Cardiff and I expected us to go down today. I’ve been here before and it’s shit …….just shit. Fans were brilliant today but these players (apart from Jay Stansfiekd ) can all fuck off. 30 years ago I watched us go down at tranmere and I lived it again today. I had a tear in my eye when I left but I’ll be back next season……. I’m just sad at the moment and the train journey back was shit. Up the BLUES
