- Thomas Heatherwick, of Heatherwick Studio, created this student center in Singapore, as part of the Nanyang Technological University, NTU campus.
The building comprises seminar rooms and study spaces, and has been designed as a series of 12 towers, moulded together like stacks fo clay.
The interiors are austere and bare concrete is juxtaposed against art infused imprints on the wall. The playful shaping of the atrium perimeter, forming pockets of study spaces, is ingenious and creates an event in an otherwise typical typology of skylit central space.
Photographed this with the following equipment:
Chamonix HS-1 View Camera
Sinar 75mm
Kodak TMax 100 (BW 4x5 film . home processed in Ilford D-DX)
Video Equipment:
Architecture footage shot on Nikon D750 on Zhiyun Weebill S
Rode Wireless Go II mic system
Very nice images!
Your content is beautiful, why did you stop? Please come back with a digital camera
Love these shots a lot, please help me with one question, the viewing hood for h1 I am thinking to get one, can you pull the hood open to put loop on the glass to focus? Thank you
subbed. Good job
Thanks!
Nicely done, Melvin. Very useful.
Nice video. Inspired me to try and go there for some pics.
Where do you develop your large format film? Do you diy?
Hi
I process my black and white at home.
But if you shoot positive film, try Analog Film Lab
@@melvinhjtan thanks. Started doing that since Jan. I now have a Stearman ST-445 and so far have done one batch of ID-11. Looking to try other developers. The working solution is too large for my volume of film, and I made the mistake of developing 2 sheets with expired developer. Totally under developed and the negative looks clear.
I sent 4 sheets of Provia to Analogue and am happy with it. Sending two more this week.
Thanks for your reply.

Great video Melvin. I really like the images too. I usually shoot portraits but at some point I will break out my 90mm and try some architecture images. Do you use a recessed lens board? My 90mm has one but I don’t really like it. I’m thinking of changing it for a flat board. I think I can get away with it on my 45F2.
You definitely can get away with a flat board. So much easier to use!
I’ve got my Chamonix set up with bag bellows so I’ve got tons of flexibility even with my 75mm.
Happy shooting!
@@melvinhjtan thanks mate. I’ll work towards that solution.
