J S Bach’s English Suites and French Suites have in their titles “for the Harpsichord”. The A major English Suite contains a Petit reprise with the word piano, which infers a two manual instrument, after the fashion of Couperin’s Harpsichord Orders (his term for Suites). Oh, the beauty! Like laying on a field full of bluebells and poppies next to a babbling brook. I woke up in a funny mood and this has lifted the fog. Bach, always the best remedy! Thank you, thank you NBS for your excellent work.
I totaly agree..it's refreshing to listen such a delicate way of approaching the Gennious' music! It's even lovely, and only a woman could ever deliver It in such a way!! Congratulations!
LOVE this! Cantabile playing like Bach taught his students. Often this and other keyboard works by Bach are played so mechanically. Also, this instrument has the best tone I've ever heard from a harpsichord. Elina Albach, you have a new fan!
Wonderful! I'm so glad that harpsichord orthodoxy has moved on beyond the idea that a two manual instrument has to be played without ever using the upper keyboard. This is so beautiful, so nuanced, so perfect. Thank you, Elina Albach!
What a delightful interpretation. Thank you! Perhaps the best voice separation and clarity I've ever heard on a harpsichord, and such an inventive use of contrasting-sounding manuals! And the slight "dotting" (notes inégales) of the semiquaver runs in the gigue is very nice. I'll be listening again.
Due to your variety of playing different manuals, registers, and stops, unlike other players, you build a beautiful Baroque castle with all variety of colors. i would like hear more of your bach. thank you !!
How beautiful Elina!!! So beautifully played! LOVE the sound of this instrument. It is out of this world wonderful! J.S.Bach my favorite of all Composers. Thank you.♥

Truly a unique performance. Most appropriate demeanor from this beautiful performer showing great respect, enjoyment and understanding of this fine work. One could not ask for more. Bravo!
Absolutely wonderful, thank you! Such beautiful playing and I love the harpsichord as an instrument. The camera work is so attractive too. An organist acquaintance of mine said recently that he thought JS Bach was the best bereavement counsellor and I agree. It’s still so hard to lose my lovely husband 😢 but I’ll keep on listening to Bach
Bravissima. Bellissima interpretazione. #controilvirtuosismogratuito
Superb playing! It really makes a difference to play the partita on a harpsichord with two registers, which allows one to have different sonorities within the same piece simply by changing the register. Thanks for an inspiring performance!!😀
Whenever i heard song like this something new inside my soul turns on i think it’s the meaning of satisfaction. Bach means the direct connection to god’s soul (if it exists)
It is not often that we get to see and hear the different manuals used as they were meant to be used. You can't do THAT on a piano . . . which might have something to do with why so few people use them that way.
Have you ever heard a harpsichord sound this good!? Hats off NBS for another master recording. It's liquid sugar in my ears... And love Elina' s playing! That sensitive, cantabile style is reminiscent of Jean Rondeau's (see Goldberg Variations at ruclips.net/video/1AtOPiG5jyk/видео.html)
It was 2009 built after Michael Mietke. The original model was probably delivered to the court in Köthen in 1719 on Bach's recommendation and might have been the instrument for which the 5th Brandenburg Concerto was written.

Good
But you have recorded many works in major keys
You must focus on the suites in the minor ones
It is a Corrente...and the Partita should be played on the clavichord......
@@mahmoudtarek9921, a good wish.
we may quietly exspect that the Bachvereniging will record and publish all of the suites each on their turn.

Unfortunately they work randomly
and don't pay attention to harpsichord works

I have never heard Bach performed so expressively!! Love this🥰

Superb as always. Please bring back the interviews with the performers
Wow! That harpsichord has a wonderfully rich sound! The performance is excellent, too.

Perfect and sensitive playing on a wonderful instrument with amazing high tones, all captured by enjoyable sound and video. What else ?
Now the day has begun! ❤️😍
This has got to have the best gigue out of all the partitas in my opinion
Why?
Due to your variety of playing different manuals, registers, and stops, unlike other players, you build a beautiful Baroque castle with all variety of colors. i would like hear more of your bach. thank you !!
Awesome! Love all the colours Miss Albach uses. Found a new favorite harpsichordist.
Which colours did you discover?
To experience Energy you only have to look for BACH’s music!

The harpsichord sound here is beautiful!
One of the loveliest buff stops I’ve heard.
Brilliant performance - so much better-sounding than any on a piano.

love the prelude to this piece, those crossovers are probably one of my favourite musical moments that I can think of honestly

I, too, will keep listening to Bach through my grief. James Runcie's novel, the Great Passion, is about grief and St. Matthew's Passion

What a fitting name, Albach... Excellent interpretation and coloring, but I especially appreciate the beautiful ornaments.

Amazing !!!
What a beautiful sound:)
Very lovely performance 😄💟
Well played the music ; i like your cymbal and special the full .
The most expressive harpsichord playing I've ever heard.
Amazing Bach. Soli Deo Gloria 😊❤
I had to get used to the sarabande being played in the upper octave, but the opening praeambulum and the closing gigue are really wonderful!
One of my favorites Partita❤
Excellent!
Love it!
Exquisite!
WOW Princess Leia is AWESOME at harpsicord!

FANTASTIC !!!

Do you like Bach's partita in g major?
-Yes,of course!!!
Best harpsichord player in this channel, je-sus.
Ho studiato anch' io la 4° partita e la
5° partita oltre al Concerto italiano
e la prima e seconda Toccata sempre
di J.S.Bach.
I think the performance is well, and showing the harpsichord beautiful sound. The harpsichord sound is different than others, special
But I think I will play a little bit faster
WUNDERSCHÖN ! ! ! !

What about the stop used in the sarabanda? Is it the 4' solo? Stunning and beautiful!!!
……..and then there was Bach.
God-like

Sarabande !..... Himmels-Glocken

She changed again at the Saranbade. I didn't know this instrument were so customizable. ❤
It's the lute stop
Thank you! Please can you invite harpsichordist Robert Hill to perform Bach?
Isn't this a Harpsichord after Christian Zell 1728 by Markus Krebs? It just says: "Harpsichord: Michael Mietke"
Great Performance, anyway!

What sound….
hài quá
La molesse du touché me déçoi . . .
