I really hope knives and axes get a buff along with a spear nerf. If we don't get a speed/accuracy buff then I'd say at least resupply them from special ammo boxes considering those things seem to contain arrows with bombs attached to them, flare rounds and straight up stacks of pennies

Good damage against bosses and meatheads, breaks down barricaded doors with one shot, takes care of 90% of AI including the immolator since pennyshot doesnt make immolators explode since the recent patch and also good as a last resort for close quarters
By "good damage" he means its a pocket shotgun that 1 hit full HP hunters up close. Pretty self explanatory, even without all the things like doors and killing immos without them exploding people obviously use it as a shotgun as opposed to having to headshot or multi hit someone with the normal one.
02:02 this item was a mistake, not only adds something that doesn't fit the theme but also makes throwing axes just plain worse??? On top of that making throwing knives EVEN worse. AND also it fucks over melee weapon users cuz if you don't have any shotgun or anything else close range it doesn't matter because you have a "pocket weapon slot melee" put into a tool slot.
Agreed, the spear has kind of broken the entire melee weapon/melee tool market. There's really no point in taking anything over the spear, its not just the best melee tool its also one of the maybe even the best melee weapon in general. On the other hand the spear being as powerful as it is could open new doors for other items in the game receiving a buff. Me personally for a long time really wanted the hand crossbow to be a tool rather than a weapon. Before the spear that would never even be consideren but now theres a realistic chance, even if its a slim one. 🤭
