I have on question regarding the aplication of boundary conditions on the mesh/geometry.
I have used Abaqus, and there you have to define first the loads and boundary conditions prior to create the mesh. You just adjust the boundary conditions to the geometry, and they would be transfered to the mesh, since the geometry is used to create the Finite Elements.
But I have seen some tutorial videos about Nastran/Patran and all of them create the geometry first, and then generate the mesh. Afterwards, they apply the boundary conditions and all that stuff.
My question is, couldn't you proceed as in Abaqus, i.e., define the loads, partitions and all that stuff in the geometry, and then go to the meshing module to create the geometry? And if so, would the boundary conditions be transfered automatically to the finite elements?
    Thanks in advance,
    Victor
