I just discovered your channel and have been enjoying your videos. Great projects! One suggestion I have is to buy a set of vix bits that will self center your pilot holes for all those casters, hinges, and clamps you use. If you’re installing hinges or clamps that are used to join two separate units, such as your modular workbenches, alignment is critical, and eyeballing the pilot holes won’t always get you there. Keep up the good work!
Cool, finally someone using the same type of roller, like I do. I just mounted them on a bracked, which have 20mm bench dog 'rods' underneath. So you just put them in a bench dog row as needed.
Good evening I just found your site and really like your different work benches. I am new to woodworking. I am a disabled Army veteran and use woodworking as a therapy and hobby. Merry Christmas and happy new year.
Zach this is a great idea. I’m just getting ready to move and hoping to set up a new shop but it’s going to be in a shed so something like this will be perfect. Thanks for sharing.
Great idea and I love the adapters I had same issue when I got my planner I ended up getting a 20 oz Gatorade bottle cut the top and bottom off and used a heat gun to shrink it to the planer and dust hose . I just got my planer and wanted to use it kid at Christmas 😆 lol
Very nice! I've got the same planer with the wings and rolling cart that came with it too and they don't work all that great. Might be time for an upgrade.
I love the 2.5" adapter design, unfortunately I have the older dewalt DW733 planer which has a smaller planing width than the DW 735 but worse yet, has a linear dust port that I had to modify using a 3" abs pipe to increase to the typical 4" dust duct for my dust collector. It works okay however it would be nice to have a new design 3D printed, to better extract the chips. Great video btw, the folding roller glides are brilliant, I am seriously considering something along the same line as I putter around in a very small and tight shop where every square inch matters. Thanks for sharing.
OMG "Rock Solid" was said once!!! I use your recommendation on 4" roller wheels. You are correct it does roll very easy and locks making it "Rock Solid".... lol. Great video as I have built a small shed for wood working and have a planer. Did not know the rollers for the planer are available. I have also started working on your detachable roll around tables. Keep up the great work!!! If you have the STL files for sale, please make them available, thank you!
I will have to do this! I did a similar thing with my miter saw. Now I wonder if it would help turn my 8" bench top jointer into something I can use on boards over 3 or 4 feet long?

Seriously, once again an amazing build.

I've been looking for something just like this for a while now. I'll be buying the plans as well as the hose adapter. Great video, thanks!
Great job. I like it. Simple but very functional.
Thanks!!!!
Now this is a clever design! Thanks!
Another sweet build by Zach. I intedn to add the wing to my existing planer cart.

Thanks for the video!

Does it work with the planer infeed/outfeed wings installed??
Great build. Version 2 could have a flip top for a sander.
Hi I just bought the build plans and have a question: Do I need 2 vertical shorts or 4. Parts dimension says 2 but assembly display has 4
It should be 4. I'll get the plans corrected to have the correct number. Thanks for catching that!
As someone who owns a 3d printer I'd rather buy the STL's for the hose adapter
I download your sketch and it's off two cuts off
According to the specs of the rollers they are 3” tall which is not the same as the Dewalt planer which is approx 2.5” so I’m a bit confused
When you put them next to each other they are exactly the same. The specs seem to be off but they are both 2-11/16” tall
Anyone know if the 733 and 735 have the same platform height? I'd love to build this but seriously running out of room.
Nothing new just a cabinet with wings.
Fantástico donde has comprado los rodillos muchas gracias
