It's funny. I'm always admiring and feeling envious of other men for their fabulous beards. I have a goatee, a moustache and a SHADOW. I realize how much work keeping a beard must be.
I have wiry strands. My beard feels silky but I can tell sometimes its dry at the root or something because sometimes it feels itchy or kind of irritated. I've been using argan oil, maybe once or twice a week, it seems to be helping.
It seems like beards do curl up over time. I wouldn't say it curls into naps in 45 minutes. However it doesn't appear as straight after 45 minutes as it was when it first gets styled.

If it helps any, an ex of mine had mixed Irish/Jewish heritage -super coarse, wiry copper hair. I used Black hair care products to tame his hair. It worked for him - Shea Moisture products, pure Shea butter, diluted apple cider vinegar rinses, always applied in steam with an ice cold rinse. It was more uniformly curly, healthier and moisturised. 🤞🏾🤙🏾
my beard is just always wildly dry no matter what man, its more so the hair under my chin and jawline, it’s like its a different texture than the bears hair on my cheeks

I have a patchy ass beard myself, just tell home to give it time. After about 3-4 months you wouldn’t know the difference. Shaping it the right way and using balms and butters helps too.
