Thanks for the review, Katrina. I love seeing Aussie yarns reviewed so positively. I'm a crocheter and I use BWM cotton yarn quite a lot. I've used all the plies and mostly made summer tops, but I also made the lovely d'Histoire Naturelle blanket with it. The 10 ply is on the lighter side which is the only issue I have with it, otherwise I really like it and I love supporting Australian companies.
Yay, I'm glad you liked it! Nice to know I'm not the only one who has an issue with the 10 ply being a bit light. Are the rest of the plies like that too?
Oooh this is awesome! One of the things that scares me the most about knitting bigger garments is the yarn substituting. This series is so helpful, thank you
Yay, glad it was helpful! I'm hoping to make more as I go but there's so much yarn out there 😅. Let me know if there's anything specific you'd be interested in hearing more about 💜
Thank you for this review Kat, I’ve been trying to decide which colours of the cotton to get and keep delaying making a decision, even though I am really keen to try this yarn!
OMG... ok honestly I'd never noticed that until you pointed it out. I just assume all cotton is machine washable 🤣. For what it's worth, I've thrown my dishcloths in the machine and they've been fine.
Hi Katrina. Knitting with some Bendigo yarn right now (but wool). Thanks for reviewing the cotton as I’m looking to buy some for making stuff for next summer. Is the parchment white or off white? It looks really white on screen. I’d really like to find a white cotton to use for my summer knits. 🧶Have a great week. 🌸
Hey Helen! The Parchment is off white/cream (the lighting in my room was just making it look very white). There is a true white though, it's called Snow 😊
Really glad to see you problem solving for Australian knitters (and crocheters). As a USA citizen, I did not realize securing yarn was an issue.
Oh, we have plenty of yarn! It's just securing yarn from overseas which is the issue 😊.

Yay! Do you have the shade card? Also consider this a serious plug for the Golden Glow, it's so pretty 😍
@@OliphantKat the new shade card arrived last week, so we’ll timed! I do love that golden glow colourway ☀️
Hello 👋 I have used BWM cotton a lot 4ply and 8ply I have made tops bags and blankets with it I highly recommend it and also very affordable 😊
Hi Sylvia! Ooh that sounds nice, I'll have to find a nice summery top or an 8 ply baby blanket to try the lighter weights on 😊
The only thing I don’t like about BWM cotton is that is isn’t recommended for machine washing. I wish they would do one that was.

Thanks. Good to know. It can be hard to tell from photos on the website too sometimes. 🌸
@@helenmcdonald2737 Do you have the colour card? They're really handy, you can get them for free from the website and they just mail them to you.
@@OliphantKat I don’t have one of those. I’ll have to ask them to put one in next time I order. Thanks for that great suggestion. Take care. 🌸
