The time for the Great Jedi Purge has come. The newly anointed Lord Vader marches to the Jedi Temple with the 501st Legion Clone Troopers.
Clearly one of the best levels in the game.

What i liked about this game is that it had the best lightsaber combat system. at least in my opinion.
+Chozin Yi Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is a close contender.
Definitely the best. I love Episode III to the death.
Force unleashed had a similar style from what I remember
***** Force Unleashed made the force look like a joke with the way the enemies squirm around and the lightsaber duels were really awkward. The duels in Episode III were spot on, even KOTOR had better lightsaber combat.
I beat this game without figuring out how to heal.
I can't be the only one who just went around and sliced everything I could to see what would happen. Especially this mission. I destroyed all the bookcases...ah good time good time.

One of my favorite levels from the ROTS game. You can really see how delved into the Dark Side Anakin is with every move he's making and every Jedi he's cutting down as he and the 501st advance into the Jedi Temple.
Agreed. You & I both love that despite Anakin’s(now Vader) commitment to Palpatine & to the dark side, we could easily see through his facial expressions that he still has humanity left in him and that he’s reluctant to slaughter the Jedi trainees; only doing so for the purpose of saving Padme. This level/mission supports the line “There’s still good in him.” I’m with you on that.
What made this game so bad ass was it came it out a week before the movie. It gave away 90% of the plot and even expanded some events nicely absent in film. That could be a good thing or bad thing to you. But it was awesome pre moive release exclusive content for gamers to the max in its day.
It's a shame the Temple Guards weren't yet thought of when this game was released, they would have been perfect as enemies for this level.
One of the many reasons why they should make a remastered/updated version for this game.

There are two kinds of temple guards: the sentinels with yellow lightsabres and the blaster wielding paramilitary force in bf2.
well in my head canon the Jedi Brutes are the Temple Guards. Atleast until this game gets remastered or remade

+therealpat5168 Honestly, I think it should have been included in the movie, along with the lady's subsequent death and a group of Jedi surrounding Anakin. We'd get to see him taking on multiple adult Jedi that way, while in the actual movie it almost seems as if all he did in the temple was kill a bunch of children.
+Darth Davus I would've liked to see that as well, those Temple Footage Recordings were pretty cool, but I think seeing it the way you described it would've brought out some more of that, "Emotional Fighting" Star Wars has.

Lucky Gaming I always attacked them and ran around the map looking for health packs when my health got low 😂

because it was very intense it was a slaughter and not something a kid friendly film should show much of
tony benedetti probably time constraints. Original cut of the film was 4 hours.
Fuck the kids who cares they should of showed the Purge a lot more its probably the biggest missed opportunity in the movie we hear so much of what Anakin did but we dont actually get to see it

They witness Anakin to murder Jedies left and right.
Rey unimpressed: Huh? Is this supposed to be terrifying? I defeated you with ease twice. I lifted a bunch of rocks with no training. AND I killed Emperor Palpatine. For me this is just practise for my lightsaber and Force techniques.
She then notices that Kylo Ren trembles a lot.
Rey smiling and touching her hand to his shoulder: Oh come on, Ben! Don't worry at all! With me at my side you have nothing to fear for!
At that moment Anakin approaches them with two Clones.
Kylo smiling innoncently: Anakin, this is Master Yoda's best student...
Rey: What did you just call me?!
Anakin: Finally, a real chalenge!
He then turns his lightsaber.
Anakin: Ready to join the Force? But I don't want you to worry at all, my dear. Soon your Master will join you as well.
Kylo with the same innoncence: I am also a Jedi. But since I'm not stupid enough to loose my head, I am leaving you to have a chat. I am going now for a coffee.
Rey: Yeah, flee you coward! I don't need at all your help! Besides, I am the Chosen One! I am the Saviour of the Universe! Girl power!
At that moment she gets violently lifted and thrown to the ground. When she lifts her head she witnesses Ahsoka Tano.
Ahsoka: You are not the Chosen One. You are just something completely worthless and fake that it must be wiped out.
She then turns on her two lightsabers.
Rey being trully worried: Ben, where are you going?
Kylo trying to hide his laughter: Oh come on, Chosen One! You were boasting yourself a few seconds ago. You even said that you can do this without my help. Make Luke Skywalker proud! You... Can... Do this!
Rey: Yeah... I think you are right...
At that moment Darth Maul joins Anakin and Ahsoka.
Darth Maul: SKYWALKER!!!
Anakin: Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
Ahsoka smiles to her ears and she is ready to attack.
Rey terriffied: BEN!!!
Ben walks away laughing.
This, Bounty Hunter, and the two original Battlefronts were some of the greatest Star Wars games ever made

Imo, this game is one of the few instances where the game was Better than the movie.
For some reason, I chuckle every time I see Anikan force pull Jocasta Nu onto his lightsaber.

This game needs to be remastered, better graphics, ehanced audio, temple guards, and maybe the song where they're marching on the temple

This has to be the greatest movie based game ever made, I mean the whole campaign made me feel like I was actually in the game/movie with so much feel drawn to it.

In Star Wars 3 Revenge of the Sith game mission the Hunt Begins, and in Star Wars Battlefront 2 Mission Knightfall there are some Jedi Enemies with Bo Staff Lightsabers, Star Wars Battlefront 2 2005 there are Jedi with both Green Bo Staff Lightsabers, and some with Blue Bo Staff Lightsabers, when you think about there were Jedi that we're killed Off Screen, some of them had Bo Staff then got killed off screen in Star Wars 3 movie, the reasons Jedi didn't often use Bo Staff Lightsabers is because they needed serious training to learn to use it, and the VERY FIRST Bo staff Lightsaber originated from the Sith, sometimes it can corrupt them completely to the darkside, Jedi Master Pong Krell had both a Green Bo Staff Lightsaber and a Blue Bo Staff Lightsaber in Star Wars the Clone Wars and he did went corrupted and some Clone Trooper got Pong Krell Killed, in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Jedi Knight Master Tapal had a blue Bo Staff Lightsaber didn't fall corrupted, but mostly needed PROPER Training to learn how to use it without becoming a Sith, only becoming Jedi, and mostly Jedi Sentinel Temple Guards used Yellow Bo Staff Lightsabers.
I don't care if they stopped making PS2 games and all that. I'll still keep up playing awesome PS2-games, such as this one.
I remember this game. I feel that, in many ways, this game was the prototype for Force Unleashed, and this level is a perfect example why.
Man I loved this game. Wish I still had my ps2 so i could play it 😭 this was really one of the best SW games especially this mission. I use to play BF2s order 66 then I’d switch to this game just so I can have a full order 66 experience

Actually i made my own challenge to keep all clones alive, it was extremely hard but i've managed to.
The developers should have spent a little more time on this game...but I enjoyed the hell out of this level.

For Anakin, this one was the most fun level. For Obi-Wan, Attack of the Clones and Aftermath in the Temple. (the ones where you fight clones)
Bossfights were a pain in the ass for the first times, I remember that :D - but Anakin vs. Obi-Wan was just great.

Greatest mistake the Creators didn't make in this game is that they didn't add Darth Sidious Palpatine as a playable character, not even as 2 bonus missions like Yoda, and that's the thing, Yoda is not a playable character in versus fights, but is playable in 1 bonus mission, it especially would be fun for gamers to play as Palpatine fighting against Yoda, this game should get a Remastered l with 4 Bonus Missions CO OP Modes in them, In Versus can change the costumes along with whichever lightsaber colors you want, and what kind of lightsabers, 5 new characters to play, Darth Maul, Komari Vosa from Star Wars Bounty Hunter which is totally canon, Yoda, Palpatine, and Luke Skywalker, first new bonus mission Sidious fighting Yoda, Second New bonus mission with both Darth Vader and Darth Sidious with their Sabers, similar to Serra, and Cin Dralig fighting together, him and Vader followed a Twi'lek girl on a planet Ryloth in Game cutsecene starts with after following her to the village, Vader gets the Twi'lek girl killed, and their enemies as seen on a book made by Paul S Kemp, Lords of the Sith , third bonus mission where it has Empire Strikes back Bonus, playing as Young Recruit Luke Skywalker fighting Darth Vader in Cloud City, get the same result from the movie, and Fourth New Final Bonus Mission Gray Order Jedi Elite Consular Luke vs Darth Vader, even has a few in Game Cutscenes, Luke beats him, then Cinematic cutscene Anakin Got Palpatine Destroyed.

The story, dialogue, and performances were better in this game than in the actual movie. Having Mace fight Anakin was a great idea.

This will always be a Great Mission, hopefully Star Wars The Old Republic Reboot not connected to the movies at all, Legends Game has their own version of EXCUTING ORDER 66 when playing as a Sith Lord Ruler, Sith Inquistor Ruler, or Sith Spy Ruler with their Own Clone Grand Army, and If Bioware doesn't Remastered Star Wars the Old Republic on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and doesn't Make Star Wars The Old Republic 2 with their Own Version of Excuting Oder 66, we Will gladly take control of their Company to make all of that. And even make a Free DLC to get Darksabers

How do you figure out all these attacks? I had most of the down pat when I was 10, but I'm also noticing a few I've never seen before. I'm glad a found this game because I forgot how fun it was.

the stupid thing keeps freezing up on this exact stage after I manage to get into the temple and destroy the statue.

Mine too. Maybe partially becuz it wasn't shown in the movie. But when you think about it, it would've been to brutal in the movie.
