After the Earth Cavern I hop in the boat and take a trip to the Ice Cave and then to the Castle of Ordeal to get class up. After recovering the airship class up, get the bottle, then I go to the Water Shrine, later the Air Castle, and last the Volcano. You should have enough experience to be able to handle the monsters so its more just timing.
In the original release the Evil Eye monsters were beholders, both in appearance and name. They changed the monster when the ported it to the west because they knew the owners of D&D would probably sue them xD
At first I was annoyed that you kept running from battle, but then I realized you were just trying to avoid leveling up too much before the class upgrade.
Mermaid: OH! You must be the Legendary... (pick the nerby chest clean and disappear)...looters oh, well - at least they didn't broke all of my vases, just like that last one in green outfit
damn, i wish i would've had this when i was a kid :\ one thing i hate on these final fantasies, are those all the time coming random monster encouters >:|
Man, this game didn't age that well. Final Fantasy IV (known as II in the U.S. back in the 90's) has so much improvements that it *looks* better than this game. I never played the SNES version of FF IV, so I can't share my insight on the game. I did watch a longplay of it though and I think it's still has the re-playability.
@@dosito86 Pretty sure that there are a few SNES RPG's that doesn't hold up to this day as well too. If you know some, then please list them. I'd like to know.
4 sucks it's too easy since magic is so plentiful and you can't customize your party plus the auto target gets rid of a lot of thinking about who to target
I just like listening to this while I work.
That's literally why I came here. I feel so understood. :D
That's what I'm doing now!

I like how the wizards are Mind Flayers. xD

37:17 That TYRO looks more like a REX Dinosaur
1:31:15. That is the coolest Easter egg in the game.
A Splash reference at least.

Understandable since they were a console generation apart...

I can care less if you don't like it as your comment is subjective. I want to try the SNES one because I'm not adapted to time-based RPG's.
