Homelessness increasing across the DC area, new data shows

Workers moved in to clear a major homeless camp in D.C. Thursday morning. It comes after new data shows that in D.C., Virginia and Maryland, the homelessness problem is getting worse despite millions of dollars being spent on the issue.

Those camps are an eyesore, and embarrassment to the city. Never should have been allowed, in the first place. $32 million?? You can do a lot of job training, and educating, with that amount of money. Who actually talks to the people living in the tents, to find out what their situation is? If they are able-bodied, they need to go to work!

Well, maybe we shouldn’t invest $515 million in a stupid building i.e. the Verizon center maybe we should invest that money in infrastructure that will change every day peoples life and not a building that can be tore down by an investment group to build something bigger
