- The Ropley Miniature Railway - Episode 64 of Miniature Railway Britain.
A trip on the Mid Hants Railway to the 10 1/4" gauge Ropley Miniature Railway.
On the Mid Hants Railway we see D8188, S15 No. 506 and 47579 in action. We ride behind 47834 on the Ropley Miniature Railway which I think must be the highest miniature railway in Southern England?
After a trip on both railways we go for a walk beside the River Alre to see some Watercress beds.

Great film Henry - I sometimes get the feeling that the Mid-Hants is a bit underrated but it really does afford some fantastic views of that part of Hampshire and then there's The Alps...
Btw you must do the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway at some point (it is very local to me) - just a short walk from Southampton Airport Parkway. Plenty of linesiding potential, too.

Thank you very much! I agree the Mid Hants in underrated. Eastleigh Lakeside Railway is on my list so there will be a video from there in the future.
It's a shame someone with a large wallet doesn't undertake relaying the meon valley railway, both very nice settings but too close really. Ps. Totally agree with Eastleigh lakeside, and there are other smaller ones brambridge gc & royal Victoria

The Class 47 sounds like it’s got the same Kubota diesel engine as “Nikki Louise” at Watford Miniature Railway. Nice video! 😀👍

Another interesting video, thought miniature railway was really short, but its actually quite long in length, are there any plans to make it go around in circuit just like Eastbourne's one or is it really permanent going to be a out and back miniature railway? Because would love to see it circle around field aswell maybe have more established station with more platforms etc. But nice vlog, really enjoyed and look forward to the next. 😀👍
