I watch a lot of storage auction channels - Wade's Ventures, Locker Nuts, 2nd Cents. What you have to do is avoid losing money on the so-so units, and then make tons of money on the home runs.
The stuff you bought is OK, you'll make a some money. Some of the golf clubs are good, the Odyssey putter and the Ping irons are worth quite a bit - the putter alone is your $75 back The Big Bertha is obsolete and can be tossed or donated. Some fishing reels are very expensive, and the poles look good.
Don't worry about the Christmas - that's you hobby. If you want to make money, you have to learn to sell stuff that doesn't interest you personally.

Lol, slowly but steadily this channel is changing to "NJ Storage Wars XXL". 😅Christmas, fragile, porcelain sounds like a perfect combination of valuable stuff. Wow, the fishing equipment including the spear should remind you of your childhood, that´s for sure. 😉 The golf set looked like a decent profit, not a bad result for just 75,- bucks. Bummer that the Christmas stuff wasn´t vintage or antique. Anyways, not a bad result at all. Keep it up, Renée, and see you soon in the next storage locker (perhaps) containing grandpas gold coin collection . 😁 Greets from GER, U.

Storage units are almost all that’s available at the moment! Though I tried to bid on a few online & the prices were insane! One unit with maybe 30 clear plastic totes sold for almost $700 😬 The online photographs of the unit were all fuzzy, so you couldn’t really see what was in the totes & only a few things around them like some wooden plant stands, a big bird for a garden, older workout equipment, etc. The description of the unit was “Boxes, stickers, household.” Stickers? Haha, maybe that’s why they bid almost $700! I will be going to the thrift store in the next few days, hopefully we will find something exciting to feature in a video!

I thought so too. The large points at the end... something larger than something used for a Camera. Even the small cheap ones are over $50. Larger ones in the $300-$500 range. Could be high end. Facebook marketplace and see what someone offers. The New Umbrella.. easily $30 as well. Some retail for $80-$90 easily. 1 Fishing pole with reel could be another $30. She won't lose money.

Hey Renee - fair to middlin' storage unit but it looks like you will make you money back. 1:13 - it's not a lamp but, like most things, it could be! Probably not it's best life, though. Guessing the baking soda in the hassock was to absorb odors, maybe? I haven't heard the word "hassock" since I lived up north. I don't know if it's worth your time to check, but some of those cords might be valuable to folks who have older electronics with missing cords - I know I do. Sorry the Xmas wasn't vintage - but at least you don't have to ask yourself, "Where am I going to put this in the house." Definitely have been heavy on the storage videos lately but with the excitement of that one, the anticipation of what's in the rest has kept me interested, anyway. Good luck with the stuff & have a great Wednesday afternoon. Next week at this time we'll all be running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get ready for Thursday. We have about 25 coming over - but it used to be 50 (kids married or moved away, people passed on). Hope you and all your subscribers are looking forward to a fun and relaxing day.

We've had a good amount of storage auctions in the area, so have to jump on them. Strike while the iron is hot! Come December, who knows what will be available and the weather people are saying we could get at least 3 feet of snow leading up to Christmas. Of course, that's over a month away and things could change by then, but that means the flea markets that are still open will slow down as well. I sold today at the flea market and meant to record but had a good size rush of people when setting up, so had to focus on selling. Then when I have a lull, I have to focus on tidying up my tables so that I can put out more.
25 people coming over?! You'll need a pretty big bird! My family is getting together and I'm responsible for the dinner rolls, so a trip to the grocery store a few days before will be in order. I could attempt to bake my own rolls, but I would be tempting fate relying on my own baking and not having packages of edible rolls to bring. That's the benefit of not being known as a good cook, you get the easy items to bring to family dinners!

Those are good golf clubs. The carston corporation is about a mile away from my house. They have a very good reputation for quality.

Too heavy - I'd say they are for sea fishing, probably shore fishing.

Hey, the Bose speakers should bring some $$$?

I hope you do some research on the fishing stuff. People will spend some really big dollars on fishing gear and that stuff looks like deep sea equipment meant for really big fish.

If they’re over 20 years old they’re considered vintage

Mixed bag, golf club? I already have one of them. Christmas decorations? I have one of those too. Come to think of it, I have two. And they can only be used once a year. Although the little white bell hangs in the hallway all year round. But fishing rods? Yes, now we're talking. I have a lot of them, but it's never enough. Never enough.

Girllll you are too funny shaking your head at the Christmas stuff...you are disappointed, but you made over 125.00 or more on the sport stuff alone

Wondering how much Renee spends taking loads to the dump?
It’s time spent going through everything. Still think it’s a low risk high reward when your consistently buying lockers for nominal amounts.

You can't win them all. Do you know how old the person would have to be to have vintage Christmas in storage units. 80's 90's and maybe 100 years old. Which my aunt that just passed away. 1923-2023 .

‘You’re gonna need a bigger van!’ Promise of Indianapolis closure and a heart attack for the taxidermy man when he sees what you brung him - but no. Harpoons, rods and a Big Bertha fade like the sail of a Great White fading into the murky depths. Can’t win ‘em all. Still , worth the challenge…..
