Also Dimond drive was awesome. Allowed the lay down engine to sit even lower in the tub making the Mseries the best side hilling sled out there. Still can side hill one one handed easier than new sleds.

Love your channel man, and these old cats. Got 3 Mseries chassis at home. Got a crossfire snopro 1000 im gonna long track to a 153. Going for an HCR1000. Not sure how to clutch it though.

Every diamond drive I have been around has been good. Thats a hard one to judge. That 900 will have serious power and with that sled being newer its going to he lighter, I have you guys running neck and neck. I just watched a 03 firecat F7 wax a brand new ski doo 850 no problem at my local grass drag.

@@OldSchoolArcticCats It's going to be close! I really do think, just got a sled for free that is going to get built up to be able to grass drag, got a 97 zr580 efi that has a 136 track and rails put on it with zr440 Sno pro racing shocks. Runs good except the track is junk, the tunnel has a slight bend to it and the rear skid needs rebuilt and the left side heat exchanger that runs under the tunnel got eaten alive by a couple studs.

How many feet is the track. Grass drag 300' is it a hill climb is it an oval race is it a frozen lake ice speed run is it a water cross. What kinda race is it. If it's a standard 300' grass drag I unfortunately go Cody. If it's a 1000' speed rub I go rocky, hill climb I go toss up but would bet on Cody as he is arguably lighter an dare I say a better hill racer? Bottom line short race the 900 long race the 1000. Nuff said

Diamond drive was the single worst failure of all time for Arctic fat…. It’s what ruined the brand because all their fast sleds got slower and all their reliable sleds got less reliable. Back in 07-10 I used to ride in the mountains 5 trips a year. There was a ton of these M series sleds that were stranded or in the shop with cannon balled diamond drives. They were junk, absolute junk.

Diamond drive works great...just need to change oil often and the ones with the bad bearing needed upgrade... The only reason they gave up diamond drive was the cost to license it. .
