  • The buses were a no-show for a Disney graduation trip, so some upset Lodi grads called on Kurtis to investigate.

      No. They made the choice to go ahead and get on the school buses that finally came and go ahead and go to Disneyland. They made the choice to go inside and use their tickets for several hours. They're disappointed and complaining because they didn't get the full day with their friends but they are not entitled to go into Disneyland for several hours for free and get a full refund. They got a partial refund which is what they are entitled to. They are young adults. They are not kids anymore and they need to understand that sometimes life isn't fair and they have to be responsible for the choices they make. If they expected a full refund then they should never have gotten on the bus to begin with and they should have done something else and then demanded the full refund later.

They then went inside Disneyland and enjoyed the rides for several hours before it closed. Because they chose to go ahead and go and use a portion of the ticket and gas was spent getting them down there they and are not entitled to a full refund. They're not kids anymore. • @sunlight93339
      @sunlight93339 11 месяцев назад

      No. You misunderstand. Even though they got there late they still went inside and enjoyed the rides for a few hours. When they got out the bus drivers weren't there to let them back on the bus because they chose to go in and enjoy themselves up to close time. Bus drivers have to be present when they allow anyone to board their buses. High school seniors knew this and they still chose to go inside anyway. When they got out they knew that they would have to wait for drivers to arrive to allow them on the buses. They were bussed home. they just had to wait for drivers to arrive. People are not at their beck and call 24/7. Welcome to adulthood. Nothing is free in life. They made the choice to go to Disneyland even though their bus was 6 hours late and then they chose to go inside knowing the drivers wouldn't be there when they got out and they chose to sit on the ground and wait for drivers. If they wanted a full refund they should have stayed home and done something else fun and then ask for a full refund and scheduled their trip for another day. It's really simple. They aren't kids anymore. They're young adults and as such, they need to be responsible for the choices they make.

We too waited for hours for the school district to try and get us another bus but they couldn’t due to “no working bus was available” so my son and the rest of the class end up not be able to go on the field trip that day and had to get our money back.

      I'm sure that it was extremely disappointing, something the class had been anticipating to enjoy. This was the fault of the bus company though, not the school district. That the school district was able to get buses and drivers for a long trip on the same day they went to Disneyland was quite remarkable. It will be a story they can always look back on, and later laugh about it. A similar situation happened to a graduating class where I lived. The trip was rescheduled for a later date with a different bus/travel company. We don't know all the circumstances, but that would have been better then leaving them in a parking lot. When I went on a similar trip, years ago, we stayed in a hotel . There are regulations for how long/far a driver can travel. Probably would have violated that law/they wouldn't have had enough rest to drive back safely.

    I think a $158 refund is fair. These high school seniors knew that they were going to be late getting to Disneyland and they still chose to go. They knew they wouldn't have much time once they got inside and yet still, they chose to go in and use a portion of the ticket that they paid for. I'm so tired of people thinking that Young adults deserve a free ride in life. And if it wasn't enough that we have college students demanding student loan forgiveness and expecting the rest of working class America pony up for a free college education, we now have young adult high school seniors complaining about the fact that they didn't get the full day at Disneyland. 🙄 THEY made the CHOICE to go ahead and go on the school bus and THEY MADE THE CHOICE to go ahead and go inside and use a portion of their tickets to have a few hours of good times with their friends... Which I'm sure they enjoyed. They should have to pay for the hours that they used the ticket.. whether that's for 6 hours or 2. I don't feel sorry for these young adults in the least. By the way, they aren't kids. They're seniors...they're young adults and they have to learn to start being responsible for the choices they make. The choice they made was to go ahead and go inside and use a portion of the ticket. It's that simple. I can understand being disappointed that they didn't get the full day with their friends but stop acting like it was the END OF THE WORLD and somebody owes them something for nothing. Life isn't always fair. If they expected to get a full refund then they shouldn't have gone on the school bus and went ahead with the trip.
