Having been to Japan many times now, this portrayal was extremely accurate. The cardboard cat shooting gallery you have to do as you get off the flight can get quite hard.
I absolutely lost it during this scene, this game was absolutely hilarious lol. I loved Mio's nonstop _tsukkomi_ as she reacted to everything, the Mionglish really was the cherry on top too.

The stereotype of Japan is based on movies, anime, and wierd tv shows. Just like everyone thinks Americans all live in really big houses because of sitcoms and Hollywood.

American house size is not just a stereotype , average house size is about 70 -130% larger than other countries.
It might be exaggerated in TV/movies, but still holds true.
