I was there! I was there! Of course I don't remember much about it due to being under the influence. Was that the weekender when I discovered a Finnish girl was actually from Weymouth? I think I was still wearing brothel creepers at that point in time rather than Oxford shoes. I must think of a way of slippiing Cavan into my next one hand clapping novel. A sort of guest appearance-tribute.

Old Black Joe
Gone are the days when my heart was young and gay
Gone are the toils of the cotton fields away
Gone to the fields of a better land I know
I hear those gentle voices calling, "Old Black Joe"
I'm coming, I'm coming
For my head is bending low
I hear those gentle voices calling, "Old Black Joe"
I'm coming home (I'm coming home)
I'm coming home (I'm coming home)
Oh-oh my head is bending low
I hear those gentle voices calling, "Old Black Joe"
Old Black Joe, Old Black Joe, Old Black Joe
Velho Joe Negro
Longe vão os dias quando meu coração era jovem e feliz
Longe vão os labutas dos campos de algodão à distância
Ido para os campos de uma terra melhor eu sei
Eu ouço as vozes suaves chamando, "Velho Joe Negro"
Eu estou chegando, estou chegando
Pois a minha cabeça está inclinada
Eu ouço as vozes suaves chamando, "Velho Joe Negro"
Estou voltando para casa (eu estou voltando para casa)
Estou voltando para casa (eu estou voltando para casa)
Oh-oh minha cabeça está inclinada
Eu ouço as vozes suaves chamando, "Velho Joe Negro"
Velho Joe Negro, Velho Joe Negro, Velho Joe Negro
