- We are in Vilnius / Lithuania and continue our walking tour from • Walking in VILNIUS / L... in this baltic capital city.
We start our walk at the Gediminas Castle Tower with a beautiful view over the city. This day some hot air balloons are starting as we walk downhill which is a nice sight.
As we have seen the central old town we walk more north this time to see a more modern area. This evening many people are out, enjoying dinner in the numerous restaurants as we head through the city center.

I was there 2 months before in Vilnius as well in June. Though it was sunnier then. In August it seems cooler.

Vilnius was the capital of huge Lithuanian Empire. That's why it has a huge Old Town. Until the uprising of 1830-1831against the muscovian rule, Vilnius was bigger than Riga. The small Old Towns of Riga and Tallinn clearly show this. The German elites of former Livonia were loyal to the muscovian rule, and in the second part of the 19th century-beginning of 20th century the rapid development took place there. Riga and Tallinn expanded only then, not in medieval times.
Why is this part unlisted? It is great and deserves to be shared!

Thank you! The video will be public soon. For explanation: When traveling solo I sometimes film 2 or even 3 walk on a good day. This walk here continues from ruclips.net/video/sIf5E-dGZf4/видео.html . However, these videos of the same day are posted with many other places in between over a longer period - not sequentially. I think most viewers find a wider selection of places more interesting than the same city appearing 2-3 times in a row in the order of filming. I was thinking about opening a members section where all videos can be seen before the switch to "public" though it currently appears there isn't much interest to pay $3 or $5 per month for early access on these type of videos. We'll see how it goes. Current planned release of this video here is 1st of April 2022. Thanks for watching!

The old town of Vilnius is very large and there is so much to see. The concert in front of the town hall was awesome! However, sometimes a part of your gimbal (I think) was seen in the bottom right corner. Nothing too irritating tho 😁
Thank you! Indeed the left/right cameras were in the picture back then on a few walks. These additional perspectives aren't used yet but I have some 100 "multicam" walks recorded where the gimbal movement puts them in the picture. Also in the beginning the rig is often visible which annoyed me. In some Corfu walk even some cable was in the picture often until I noticed and unplugged it. I'm trying to get around this by fixing some cable-setup for future walks to film with 4+ cameras and the microphone... 😎
@@poptravelorg This reminds me of people playing Pokémon Go on 10 devices 🤣🤣 But I feel you, in my early GoPro-Bycicle setup the brake cables would always hit the camera when taking turns.. during the shoot everything looks fine and after watching it.... -> 😵

Here I'm using a DJI Pocket 2 and a Zoom H1 microphone for the audio. However, I very much prefer the picture of the Osmo Pocket 1 which I used in recordings before 2021. The audio is optimized and synced before upload with the video. The info about the gear used for recording is always in the video description as I may switch between Osmo Pocket 1 and Pocket 2 more often

I have the Pocket 2 and microphone mounted on a powerbank. The Pocket 2 quickly overheats when filming & charging at the same time. I still charge it in between walks. I have two extra Pocket 1s mounted for left/right views that I may use for other videos and an upcoming channel. In fact I may shoot with one additional camera and ordered another Pocket 1...😎 It's a bit overkill as I like to test what's possible with these small devices

I wish... At the moment tourists from "unfriendly countries" can't visit. I've been to Russia a dozen times for business and also tourist - even Kamchatka, Trans-Siberia railway etc. though my last visit to Moscow was 2014, Kaliningrad 2019 only. Will see when it's possible again..
