An Idea for your problem with Omen could be to try out Clove. The Smokes are far easier to set, the c Ability gives you good duelling utility and because you can smoke after your dead, you could play really aggressive. And I would totally agree with you. Your crosshair placement, peeking and your duelling skills in total have greatly evolved since your last video. Keep up your spirit and good luck in your Games
Love your videos, great contente and amazing progress. Aim is the most important thing especialy early gamesense will come ass you get better aim and whilest you play, plus gamesense in low wlo dosnet work, every one it to dumb to be able to think about what thay can be or do.
I would say that the game is "Easier" as a duelist, but I think learning the game through a smoke character is more beneficial in the long run. As a duelist, you kind of have a "just go in and kill" mindset, whereas when you learn through a util reliant character like Omen, you are forced to think more about how to set up kills and take/control space. Clove would be the best of both worlds, especially because you can smoke after death within a certain radius around your body. I would also recommend Sova. His kit is mostly based around gathering information, which is incredibly beneficial to winning gunfights, rounds, and most importantly, games, but it's more active information gathering than a character like Cypher, so you don't end up playing super passive most of the time
Also, if you lose a round, and you can't figure out why/what's wrong, use a clipping tool like shadow play/obs, and snip a little 2-minute video, watch it back a few times while looking at why things went wrong. Maybe, for example, you took a gun fight, and it felt like you got 1 tapped before you had a chance to react. In real time, it can be hard to tell why at first, but if you clip it, most of the time you'll see you were aiming too low/too far in either direction, so when you took the fight, you had to spend time adjusting while your opponent had their crosshair placed where your head would be, so they could mostly just click. Beyond that, there are more big picture things, like if you keep dying from the flank, you can look at the mini map and sort of look for big holes where enemies can slip through, and in the future you can either use utility, or ask a teammate to watch that area. Anyways, enough rambling from me, good luck on your Valorant journey
Yeah I agree with you but I feel like I need to focus right now on getting the basics right then I'll switch over to someone like Omen if that makes sense? It also feels like Omen is so reliant on teammates?
@Danreks yeah, learning the maps and working on aim is definitely step one. As far as aim, habitually keeping your cross hair at head level is probably the fastest way a person who is new to FPS to get better in that regard. Valornt is a bit easier for it than a lot of other games because not only are character heights all the exact same, the maps all have plenty of markers that tell you what head height it if you're not sure, like if you go into a custom game and just walk around, you'll see them (mostly boxes or lines on walls), and that's a great habit to form early. And don't be afraid to experiment with your sensitivity as well. A very common thing you'll hear is to find one that works for you, but i would caution against taking that entirely at face value. Obviously, it depends on your mouse space, but I would HIGHLY recommend using an Edpi (effective dpi, which is just your mouses DPI times your in game sensitivity) between the ranges of 128 and 240. You can Google valorant edpi calculator to figure out what yours is, but that range is where the overwhelmingly vast majority of higher level players (gold+) usually end up after experimenting and honing their aim in my experience. As far as Omen's reliance on teammates, I would argue that every agent is to an extent. It's all about knowledge and teamwork. As a duelist, it may be easier to backpack a team and get kills, but a controller is able to make everyone's lives easier (at least your teams lol) by cutting off angles. As I said, though, Clove is the best of both worlds. You get useful smokes that are easier to place than omens that you can even use when you're dead. You get a heal like Reyna if you get a kill or assist. You get a vulnerability like Iso, and you can revive like a Pheonix ult. Cheers, and hopefully, some of this might be useful for you. Good luck
@@michaelbietsch2864 Hmm clove does sound pretty good! I have been trying to keep my crosshair at head height. But for the next video I'm really focusing my energies on gun hygiene. I feel that's as fundamental as it gets because going forward I'd like to know i'm using the right attack (aiming for head vs spraying) at the right time. Does that make sense? When I have fights too close I still find myself aiming for their head when I don't need too so I want to drill into me the right starting point.
Great video and great editing, i like omen too.
Thanks friend! Yeah Omen is so much fun to play. I find his kills the most satisfying.

Hmmm I've heard Clove mentioned to me a few times. I'll give her a try.
Im a clove main, i definitely recommend that character for a balance between smokes and duelist @@Danreks
@@phoenixmann8229 Ok I'll unlock her next. I just unlocked Gekko today.

"lower elo bracket is best for training your gamesense" 💀
Yeah I think I definitely just need to work on the fundamentals! Thanks for the comment!

Interesting video friend, good luck choosing a character
Thanks friend!
So what do you all think I should play Omen or iSO?
