Awesome ideas and something to think about in future projects. I love your style and approach. Plus you make me laugh so much! Keep going! Can't wait till the next video ❤
Another fantastic video, thx ! Looking at this green Space Marine makes me so sad of the hardness to get Chaos Warrior with "Purplish" armors, and layers indeed... It would be a pleasure to see how you would dealt with that ^^
Hey, I'm a big fan of your channel and painting, so I'm not leaving this comment to be mean. I just wanted to provide some honest feedback and say that this video is not helpful. The method you're describing here pretty much boils down to 1. Prime in non-black 2. Do traditional layering but do it rough and dirty. I actually agree with both these steps, and I love how your work highlights the fact that if your value structure is solid, smooth blends aren't super important. I actually really like the sketchy, painterly quality in your models and I think it shows strong understand of how to apply light. But that's the hard (read: time-consuming) part! There's no way I would call what you're describing in this video "speed-painting," even if you're trying to physically paint quickly :P I'm a relatively experienced painter and there's no way in hell I would try to do what you're doing here across an entire army. And telling a beginner painter to try this almost certainly will end in burnout and frustration. I started out using drybrushing, washes, and later an airbrush to get good volumes and highlights. The first few space marines I tried to layer by hand were painfully slow, requiring lots of stopping to really squint at the model and so on. I understand the need to carve out a niche for yourself on RUclips, but your past few videos have been real misses for me. I don't mean to be discouraging. I'm still a subscriber, a fan, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work :)
That description doesn't describe me at all. I love painting. I don't even play games of Warhammer anymore, it's all about the painting for me. I am the video's target audience :P
Well I think what she's trying if you practice you'll get better at it. Instead of "wasting" time speedpating with contrast paint, where you'll definitely won't improve your brush control. But I myself is not really experienced so I don't know when/how I'll get better. What really bugs me is number 1. prime in non black for beginner. No I don't have a huge collection of primers and I don't have an airbrush.

Good food for thought. Too often just end up slapping on full base coats then coming back to glaze for long times.
Thank you, nice intro to the style. Have watched a lot of your recent content, having just got back into the hobby - really good
Multiplying painted models is always good! And slapchop is the devil, the devil! I tell you, THE DEVIL!
This is very similar to how i paint with sponges, yet to pull that off on anything smaller than i SM so I'll try your method. Also daddy issues
another great video
