I try to consider mpg but I forget cause I just don't think about it lol. Doing the math tho it's looking like 43mph. It's a 05 hd carbed tc 88 with a mild cam & I ride a lot since it's chilly out with a old style windshield.
EFI brings you starts without warm ups of carburetors. Although sometimes if you push it after immediately starting an EFI can act up until warmed up more. It also buys you lean fueling at most rpm rages which gives you better mpg in exchange for more wear on the motor. What EFI gives you on the negative side is a ton of extra wiring and sensors and a computer that can do wrong especially when a rusted wire connector or sensor going out tricks the computer into thinking a condition of operation is occurring which isn’t and the computer is changing fueling for a condition that doesn’t exist. It also adds the infamous check engine light, a bunch of codes to diagnose and the need to be an electronics technician on top of the mechanical technician a purely carbureted engine would require. That means greater expense in diagnostic tools and greater expenses in replacing sensors and electronics wiring and connectors and geared expenses in billable hours spent diagnosing the problems to know if the codes computer throws represent reality or false signals due to electronics failures and not a mechanical failure code is trying to say exists.
I have an 08 Spirit, stock mechanically with a windshield and if i really baby it i can get 55mpg. Most miles I've gotten per tank is low 170s switching to the reserve.
Turning that thing into a bobber is saving you money in the long run! You can tell your wife it's paying for itself the more you ride. Good looking bike, bud.
I can’t get enough happiness from my 2024 Shadow Aero 750
That thing nice bro,God bless
Thanks friend!
Thats pretty good. Mine only does 45.
That is usually about what I get. 53 was a surprise and I'm not sure how I did it.

I get around 53 mpg loaded or just one up
I get 60 miles per gallon on the Suzuki V-Strom 650 with a 300-mile range.
