@@albertoaceves4999 no, it was recorded for the Diorama sessions. It’s just an archival release that’s been released on international digital platforms that’s all.
Yeah it’s crazy I was surfing around looking for anything more I could download from Silverchair right around Christmas/New Years and I was like what?! I seriously thought they were getting back together! I read later on that it was just released. Love this song! It should be played everywhere! They really need to get back together, like now!!! They’re still my favorite band since I was 14. Love them! 💗
Nah, sadly Silverchair are permanently broken up. They recorded this song back in 2001 during the Diorama sessions. In the several shows they did before Diorama was released, they actually used this song and One Way Mule as the "new songs" they performed to tease the Diorama release. If you search "Silverchair - Hollywood (Live at Rock in Rio)", you'll see the live debut of this song! It's structure and lyrics are a bit different, but that's cause it hadn't actually been recorded yet (they recorded Diorama in the months after this festival appearance).
O.K. I have to admit I'm just catching up with this group. I'm 49 years old and a product of the late 70's and beyond. This song along with "Straight Line" and "Tomorrow" are the best Silverchair songs. I think they should rock harder then they do these days, but again I'm a product of the 80's type of rock-n-roll. Rock on Silverchair!!!!!!!
Wish they did more b-sides! I know they created so much that didn't make the album cuts, but we *NEED* that gold now they're gone!!! I only have their rarities disc up to 1999 and they had some unexpectedly great punk tracks on there. I don't know any other band besides maybe porcupine tree who evolved and grew so much as they matured musically. They kept expanding and challenging themselves; love and admire them so much for that! They have always been true musos, which is why they were writing and composing such great music even as teens. So by their early 20's they had learned and done more than many middle aged artists. I miss them so much :'(
I Love it!!!! They are lucky ! this band is born in the best time 90 's.....probably 100 years before one other decade Like that! ....daniel is So good! to be young..like that in the 90's His spirit have all drunk this magic atmosphere
The Kurnellians It's no after 2000, I believe. At least they played this song in Rock in Rio 2001, and this show was in its beginning of 2001, so this song can have be composed in 2000 or 99.

It's coming back but, over half of those bands are trying to be nirvana. Influence is healthy but, ripping off another band is not. Don't get me wrong, I love nirvana and would love for grunge to come back. There needs to be a new band that tries to make something original that had the same impact as nirvana did. That's what I'm oping for.
So true bro.Maybe in my drunken state I wished those bands could be more mainstream and make a great impact but most bands don't anymore.I know they never will be.I go through phases where all I listen to is grunge missing the good old days where shit on the radio was actually good
Yea, Daniel lost his passion for good music. It is such a damn shame that the disease of mainstream pop mediocrity infected Daniel and stole one of the most promising rock musicians from us. I greatly mourn the death of his talent. 1994 - 2002 BTW Forsaker, Katatonia has been my top favorite band since 2006!

Really miss their heavy metal days but very happy to know that Daniel's happy and healthy as well as Ben and Chris.

The band that keeps on giving
Sounds sick to me.
Perfect :)

Still trying to realize how Daniel Johns could release the Young Modern album after this kind of song.
Music evolves, so do people. Love every album!
Music can also devolve rather than "evolve". Musicians can in fact lose their passion and talent. And that is exactly what happened to Daniel.
@@FlawedCoil82 in your humble opinion, not to me.
Daniel definitely dindn't loose his talent or passion
