It is a blessing to have the ability to compose those signature endings this band play. It's one of the many great attributes that make FAMU the great musical unit it is.
WoW... This took me back to when I heard college band for the first time in high school. (1992)... Went on to march with the Sonic Boom because of this song and a few others...
Damn that drum line was good and in sync. low brass tore this up. Trumpets defintely came through too. But was loving them T-Bones thats my first love.
"Bland" would not be the word I use. "Different" would suit it because the arrangement is different. In SU's arrangement, the "slides" are playing the melody. It sounds as though the euphoniums, horns, and woodwinds are playing the melody in FAMU's arrangement. Does any former FAMU band member out there know exactly who plays the melody on the 1st verse? I would like to know.
Yes Tigerwarhawk... I know. I am a former B-Tone Express Marching"100" of 1984-1987. I am called Captain Caveman, also a former Lincoln High School Marching Band of Class 1984.From 1981-!984.The first verse was a combine of baritone and Trombone along with french horn and tenor sax but never woodwind until after second to the last then entire band played. i hope i help you much.

If you didn't march on the Hundred then you don't need to know what hubba means.
LOL - that was probably the first time Southern fans didnt get "Give it to me Baby" or "Just Got Paid" from concert that year LOL
Su’s version >
if im not mistaken, the horns, baritones, alto saxes and clarinets carry that first verse.
You are not mistaken hhoms2002 except clarinet
Correct. I played Alto Sax in this performance.
Ok. I guess i will find out if i get accepted to FAMU. I Pray that i do get accepted!!

This one has nothing on SU's version.

which bcc? r u talking about??
I feel ya man. The bone line is a lil bland compared to southern's. I like southern's arrangement better.
Great arrangement, but SU won the sweet love battle tho 🐆
Hubba Doc
Wat is a "hubba"?
