STORYLINE:
Ukrainian soldiers, family and mourners gathered in the small city of Shostka in northeastern Ukraine on Tuesday to pay tribute to a soldier killed fighting against Russian forces near Bakhmut.
Andrii Grinchenko, 31, was severely injured while fighting in the battle for Andriivka in the Donetsk region in early September.
He later died at a hospital in Dnipro on September 24.
As Grinchenko’s coffin drove through Shostka, people knelt by the side of the road in a show of respect.
Svitlana Grinchenko, the mother of the fallen soldier, described him as a “kind and open person who always helped people."
At the beginning of Russia's invasion, Grinchenko helped evacuating people from Kyiv region but then he decided to join the army, she said.

Украинцы скажите зачем пошли западу на поклон да и ради чего не собирались они вам помогать не произошло бы этого майданат в 2014 было бы всё хорошо и не вините Россию в своих бедах она вас предупреждала что бы не обстреливали Донбасс тем более мирных жителей.
