About me: I'm Plastic Swans and I do a lot of wacky stuff with Planet Zoo, like racing the animals and time trials. I like to call this kind of thing wholesome chaos and that's what I try to do most of all on the channel. I also make one-off habitats and zoos, and I also make the starter habitats for Planet Zoo, a collection of ready-made franchise/challenge compatible habitats for every animal in the game.

I like to add the tapir and anteater together, they both like a lot of coverage
The panda enclosure reminds me a lot of the panda enclosure at the National zoo!
Man, I love how the maned wolves look, they're such beautiful animals, but you are NOT WRONG about how annoying their habitats are! Your backstage area idea is one I never would have thought of on my own though so that's a huge help.
(Incidentally it's very, very weird to watch you building enclosures right after playing Superliminal which is an escape room game that plays with perspective a lot. I keep expecting the fences to grow and shrink as you move them around.)
Some great “giant” new residents this time with the otters and especially pandas having very nice new enclosures!
Whelp next one is all about 'Goliath' LOL
Maned Wolves and Giant Anteaters don’t belong to a tropical biome, they belong to what would be equivalent to a South American savannah. That is the reason for the low coverage. (The anteaters can also be found in the tropical biome, but the maned wolves are exclusive to the “savannah”).
Indeed. In hindsight it would have been better to separate the wolves out, because there's just too little in terms of plants etc. I could use for them. The game assumes "grassland, well you won't be needing any additional plants then" and you're left with very empty-looking enclosures unfortunately
Also Maned Wolves aren’t actually true wolves.
Four of my favorite animals all next to each other, Giant Anteaters, Gharial, Maned Wolves and GIant Otters!
I've got a name for the giant otter enclosure which is Otter Pools.
Gotta love the anteaters/wolves and the otters!!
Been bingeing on this series all day (2 to go!) and love your style and how you talk through your thought processes, new sub!
Thank you and welcome!
I was looking forward to a new video. I agree with taking a break from building and coming back to it, I am building Tropical habitats at the moment and I end up just staring at my computer, going away and coming back helps. Please PlasticSwans computer let her finish this zoo!
With the last game update letting you turn climbable pieces off, it seems to have really helped. There's stutters (somewhat noticeable) when I start recording, but have another trick up my sleeve to lighten the load for that if it starts getting really problematic
another episode!!! im so exicted
Yayyy I’m was hoping you posted a new video today 😄
mabye can u link the panada walk way i bet alot of people whould love to use it
Love the giant otters enclosure, def prefer quality over quantity but I can see the struggle of trying to get all the enclosures done ❤
There's a trade-off really, not just getting them all done quickly but also getting them to 'hit the green' for all the animal's needs. If it was a smaller zoo I'd be more inclined to not worry quite so much about getting their needs 100%
can u put some of the blueprints u use in this zoo on the workshop?
They will go up eventually, but they will all need tweaking to be workshop-ready. It's finding the time I'm struggling with for that! May end up as a huge upload at end of the series, the full zoo and the tweaked individual enclosures
If i remember right i think you already did a giant otter enclosure before in the all animals franchise zoo (i might be wrong though)
There's a combined Asian Small-Clawed Otter and Malayan Tapir enclosure you might be thinking of? The Giant Otter only introduced into the zoo in this episode.
@@PlasticSwans oh yeah i mightve mixed them up
That is so cool and it's looking a awesome amazing zoo so far
Thanks!
@@PlasticSwans your welcome
Amazing video 😊
Nice, I predicted ze new video
I love this series ❤️
I never thing of adding a "backstage" area to help with space - maybe I need to try a more realistic zoo next
I'm relying on it too heavily with some of the animals a bit!
Yeah I called it
What is the most appealing habitat and exhibit animal???
I also love you vidoes. They are so entertaning!!!😊😊😊
Thank you! The bigger, more expensive animals are from what I can tell the more appealing. My elephants and giraffes bring in a lot of guests!
Just As A Question. What do you recommend for new planet zoo players? Like what new packs to get
In my. Personal opinion, I think the wetlands and North American and aquatic packs are the best because they add more common to use such as
* pre-made water falls
*less expensive animals for starting zoos
This one is a joke * animals from memes
Also do people ask you this question often just in case I’m sorry
My recommendation would be aquatics pack for pieces, and Australia pack for the animals. The Australia pack animals are by far the most unique in terms of interaction and the models are stunning! Aquatics pack for the faux rocks, hands down.
Thank you for telling me because my friend started planet zoo
Please please please try your best to get Alpacas in planet zoo.😊
Not really a fan of the habitats with the empty boxes in the back
It sounds like she isn’t either but it’s necessary
Indeed, they can be pretty ugly! There's an imbalance (feels like) on space needs vs what the game says they need, and lack of vegetation leaves some enclosures looking really empty. I was wondering whether secret underground space would help, at least then you can't see the 'space' so to speak!
@@PlasticSwansis it really that important for animals to be at the front constantly? Im not sure how it affects donations or just guest happiness.
You can use shrubs and grass usually without affecting navigable area. But play however you wish.
