Yesterday and today I have had a lot of pleasure from listening to this wonderful 1920s Jazz Age music on Pax 41!!! This is the kind of stuff I turn to when I need a pick-me-up. I'm a jazz fan and the first jazz I ever heard was from this era: Louis Armstrong and the Hot Five and Hot Seven, Benny Goodman with the Ben Pollack Orchestra, etc., etc. I also am a die-hard fan of the Swing / Big Band Era--anything from the 1920s to 1940s. Please don't ever stop making this kind of music available---there is more of it here at one's fingertips than even a voracious collector like me could ever find and purchase! Plus, this kind of music is great for combatting the COVID-19-era blues!!!

Love the great piano work on the last selection: I Used to Love Her in the Moonlight. This music has narcotic elements of addiction which, I am happy to say, does not bring attention of the local gendarmes.
I will be broadcasting 3 Live shows tomorrow. They will be at 10AM, 2PM and 5PM Central time and each will feature a different period of music. Hope you can tune in.
I love this music so bad. You know, the more things change the more they stay the same. I was thinking that the song "Don't Think You'll Be Missed" is 1920's original version of "I Will Survive". LOL. I love it!
I LOVE THESE! I Have "Traveling Blues" By Ted Weems! THE TOP Version as well as My EDISON Recording of the same song! I LOVE These recordings from this time! I LOVE Aileen Stanly singing with The Virginians! I Have this record, The Flip side "No One Loves Me Like My M A Double M Y (Mammy)!
Curse that Great War! Upsetting that wonderful old world order. People knew their place. Where they belonged in the scheme of things. This wild abandonment, flaming youth. 1920 to 1929, changed the world forever. PS Wonderful music! I listen to it every day.......
SO WOULD I. ITS FOR SURE WE ARE A REINCARNATION OF SOMEONE WHO LIVED AT THAT TIME.....IS IT TRUE THAT THERE IS A BALL ROOM IN A STATE OF USA.....? I WAS TOLD THAT TO ENTER INTO THAT BALL ROOM IS LIKE A JOURNEY TO THOSE WONDERFUL DAYS !!!!
@@calamityjane1988may That would be worth researching, a Ballroom where one would have to dress the period and enjoy some great 1920s music. Perhaps the owner of this channel would know.
Pax41 Music Time Machine thanks Bob, you get some good quality out the records, thanks it has been fun, bookwork plus bookwork lately, finally pretty well done now, all the best Neil
i am going to do a Live Stream today on the KPAX41 channel. It wll be around 1pm central time. This will be for music from the mid to late 30s. If you miss it you can watch the video of it later. Thanks for watching Wilfried.
I will be broadcasting 3 Live shows tomorrow. They will be at 10AM, 2PM and 5PM Central time and each will feature a different period of music. Hope you can tune in.
Really enjoy all your sets of this delightful music. This particular one is 3rd in my playlist created to showcase your selections. Thank you so much. I can't offer much but verbal support and to share your channel with others. Also, I pray that you will be able to continue to provide us with musical strolls down memory lane. 👍💕🙏
Just a heads up but starting tomorrow all of my new posts will be released first on the Pax41 Music Time Machine Facebook and Pinterest pages. They will be unlisted here on RUclips for about two weeks before I release them for viewing. I will be releasing my KPAX41 channel videos without any delay. Just wanted to give you a heads up and thank you for watching.
Oh, not at all. If one was wise and saved money during the decade and DID NOT put money in banks, the coming 1930s were a dream come true. Plunging prices on consumer goods. Land and properties became a available for a fraction of their values. Many immigrant people saved their cash and did not deposit in banks. They also didn't get snared in the credit craze of the 1920s. They also didn't get involved in the stock market craze of that era. Some people enjoyed the 1930s immensely and in great comfort.

I have an old Victrola, that is what got me started on collecting.

The perfect background music for puttering around in my 1920 house.

Let's get them back on the air again! You are welcome and thank you for watching the channel.
Love the great piano work on the last selection: I Used to Love Her in the Moonlight.
This music has narcotic elements of addiction which, I am happy to say, does not bring attention of the local gendarmes.
I need to do a post for the piano men and women of the era.
What kind of sound processing do you use? It seems to get rid of the scratch while keeping the richness of the recording.
What a great collection of '20s dance band records!
Glad you liked these and this post has become one of my more popular ones now. It's about time more of this acoustic material gets more appreciation.

All superb! The Dallas Public Library used to have the sheet music to No. 2--I guess they still do!
What I would give to spend just a day in the 20’s.
