What inspired your love for necromancer games? I really enjoy the aspect of taking an enemy and making it your friend, which is why I love Pokemon, Digimon and LOTR: Shadow of War type games.
you should check Age of wonders 4 its a 4x grand strategy game where you can build your own fantasy race and empire and theres a full "tech/magic" tree for your faction centered around necromancy and its fantastic.
@@prous875 I do hope they do more with the necromancer builds. Cuz like, ultimately you can only reliably produce 3 kinds of undead and they’re all skeleton based.
@@atlantiswolf i enjoyed 3 a lot to, but i do feel 4 has a similar variety tought they just missing the ghoul reanimation and death bringers, i loved death bringers.
@@diamondmetal3062 theres more them just 3 if you doing just shadow tomes tought, Skeleton reanimation, Bone horror reanimation, Corrupt soul summon, Banshe summon, Bone dragon reanimation and Reaper.
OMG I Saw like "2 minutes ago dropped more necromancy games" Thank you becouse i was losing my mind if i don't find something that fill this wierd hole in my heart or hearth. Not sure still which or witch one but both are burning and i'm happy you retrace to games after they are upgraded.
My suggestions for this are - Conquest of Elysium and Dominions, they're... a lot. - A little indie game called Unferat, very interesting. - The Age of Wonders series, they're 4x strategy games, and necromancy is in all of them, Planetfall is sci-fi instead of fantasy but it still has something very close to it. - Exanima, another indie gem, though actually animating undead is a VERY late power, and you can only have up to 3. - Hero's Hour, indie game inspired by the Heroes of Might and Magic games, the combat plays like an autobattler with spells. - Soulash, an indie roguelike, there's a sequel in early access but it doesn't have necromancy *yet*. - Spellforce: Conquest of EO - Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, old school, free to play roguelike with necromancy as one of the types of magic. - Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, really old RPG, White Necromancy is healing magic and allows you to resurrect people, Black Necromancy kills people, brings them back to speak to them and allows you to animate undead.
I agree. AoW2+SM have lots of necromancy, and its a core story element in AOW1 Conquest of Eo has a really robust necromancy system, but the earlier Spellforce games have a fair bit of necromancy too, but they are RTT rather than 4X Arcanum's necromancy is there, but it honestly plays a bit like a necromancer detective rather than a hord of undead necromancr. The raised undead are largely cannon fodder that die after a hit or two, so ablative meat. But interrogate the right spirit and you can chop hours off some quests. DCSS necromancy takes a while and a lot of luck to get going, but once it dose its one of the easiest ways to beat the game And there are half a dozen dedicated necromancy races in Dominions Not mentioned, but there is necromancy in Divinity Dragon commander. You can get a flesh golem you can build into a number of proficient forms. It's mostly a customizable silent companion, but its definitely dead first.
Hey, if you're open to talking about mods for games, RimWorld has an amazing modding scenes with magic mods, one in particular includes a whole necromancy system that you can plan entire campaign playthroughs around. That being A Rim of Magic's necromancy path. There's also the psycasts expanded mod's necropath tree, which does similar things, in a more streamlined and simplified manner, with a host of other faction mods to go along with the theme, such as the profaned faction.
Dominions 6 is a 4x game with very deep mechanics. There are several different nations in the game who's "dominion" (kind of like the amount of influence you have over a province) slowly kills the population of the province and turns them into undead hordes. There is also a whole branch of death magic where you can summons all kinds of undead creatures and even make immortal liches. Great game that is very much just a huge sandbox. It also has a very devoted multiplayer community if you don't like playing alone.
If we're including modding, you have GOT to check out a game called Rimworld It's a colony Sim game, and the base game has no necromancy (other than some features in the dlc's that would be a stretch to call necromancy) but there's a mod called "rim world of magic" which adds a whole magic/class system that includes a necromancer class and it is SO FUN
I'd like to suggest I of the Dragon. It's an old game where you play one of three dragons trying to free the land from evil. One of the dragon choices is a necromancer and at high levels you can reanimate ANY enemy.
If you want a cool necromancy mod for minecraft (And the server is forge) I highly recommend the GOETY mod. Its a mod based visual around the minecraft spin off games (specifically minecraft Dungeons) and has HEAVY necromancy vibes. Like the main casting resource is soul energy. And you eventually can become a lich with a full on phylactery that you teleport to on death. It has a wide variety of servants (minions) for your evil army and very fun bosses and new enemies. It even adds more challenge to the pillager raids and a miniboss in said raid.
Another game I have yet to see mentioned is Mordheim: City of the Damned. Based in Warhammer Fantasy. It is a turn based battle game, with Undead being one of the factions you can play. Vampire is the default Lord, but you can upgrade a hero to be a Lord later on. And yes, there is a Necromancer, but he doesn't show up until warband level 4 (I think.) But it isn't so much of "summoning pets" as much as making your zombies super tough or super fast. You can also hire a skaven mercenary and throw the poison bombs into your zombies while they fight, because they are immune to it. There are other combos you can do as well, if you have two necromancers on the field, you can stack a "normal" level buff on them, with the "upgraded" version to stack them, making them absurdly fast and tough. But be forewarned though, this game is all about impactful decisions and consequences. Battle damage is very much a thing, some of them might be devastating to a squad member. But they aren't all bad, but they are randomized. But if you have a guy get injured enough, you may end up with like, one arm, one leg, missing an eye, etc. The game is fairly long as well, with both a campaign mode where you can do as many side missions as you like. And there are lots of strategy you can use as well.
Picked a few new interesting titles. Thanks for another funny and well edited video. Also want to drop a reminder about Legion Wars with it's Undead Legion that spams skeletons like no tomorrow, cute High-Necromant and broken game economy (they limited by their population size, you limited by *physical space* to fill your armies with - and there a lot of space).
Conquest of Elysium 5 is a turn-based map game, a bit like civilisation but with less diplomacy, that focuses on taking over the world of Elysium. It has 2 necromancer classes, the Necromancer and the Markgraf, and It's pretty fun, you should try it out for the series.
If mods are interesting, you should take a look at the Warhammer fantasy mod for mount and blade bannersaga. You can play a vampire or a normal necromancer which can raise a huge army of skeletons after each battle and also summon skeletons during the battles.
in TOME you missed a couple things with the necromancer, and two others sorta-necromancer classes , theirs an unlockable option for the necromancer to become a lich though sadly unavailable if your already another form of undead, and the necromancer lore is a lot easier to get once you know how to get to the shertol fortress, where you can save lore and access it in later runs first the possessor is a psychic who as their name implies, can capture enemies they kill and take their bodies, and you do get ALL the bodies abilities, with the exception that the body cant be healed and once its dead you lose it(and yes if you level up the skill enough, you can take over bosses and uniques(uniques being monsters that have class levels, so you can basically be another class for a bit), one of the advanced skills you can get allows you to instead summon one of your stored bodies as an independent minion the secondDoomed are basically the dark equivilent of psionics that run on hatred, who can passively summon up to 4 shadows to aid them, and their direct abilities are pretty fitting for a necromacner to, like one lets you establish a link with any foe and just slowly drain their life(and with other upgrades, their stats too) and their main melee attack is gesture of pain which in addition to mentally assaulting the enemy with the middle finger, also curses and weakens them
I can’t recall if you’ve already played or talked about it but Graveyard keeper it’s a farm management style of game (easy example think stardew valley) where you can eventually use zombies to automate a lot of chores. Small problem you can’t even get a single zombie until about 10-15hr in and it doesn’t really get going until 40+ unless you know what your doing. Still a very good game but a bit of a commitment. Also by the same studio as be my horde realms of magic there first game realms of magic. Has a necromancy skill tree and build. Another fun game I like is legend of keepers. It’s a rogue like game where you are the dungeon master who kill adventures who come to raid the dungeon lots of builds and monsters. There are reanimate stuff and lots of undead but it’s a little light on necromancy beside that. A final suggestion as a bit of a stretch but Risk of Rain 2 there’s a legendary item called happiest mask that turns you in to a necromancer ish. Normally a great game though
TRY THE TERRARIA SUMMONER PLEASE!!! It's not necromancy based almost at all, ignoring a some modded stuff, but it's so damn fun if you're willing to deal with way less options than other classes, which can be really easely fixed by just playing calamity (masive mod that doubles the game content and adds a ton of stuff for summoner). (Also try Trove if posible, the necromancer class is pretty fun imo, even if the game isn't that good)
Good to see you taking my suggestion, here's another one. A lot like Tales of Maj'eyal, Dungeonmans is also a top down roguelike with necromancy. It is also hilarious.
@@RisingBlurTR Another suggestion now that I think about it, and I am surprised wasn't on the list, or maybe it is and I am just blind. Divinity Original Sin 2, specifically with the Odinblade's Necromancer Class Overhaul. As you can already play as a skellymans, but now also summon plenty of your own.
I can recommend Battle for Wesnoth, as a further Necromancer Game. You can play Undead as Faction and i think it will pass and i liked it very mutch, has also some Kampaigns as Undead Faction.
While definitely not technically a necromancer. Geppetto from Ravenwatch has been then most fun implementation of a summoner I have *ever* played. That and the pied piper has a nice take on your more traditional necromancer gameplay. And you could theoretically argue that both are a kind of necromancer. The rats of pied piper def seem to have some dark magic in them. Geppetto is trying to put the soul of his dead boy into new bodies and what is more necromancer than that?
I recommend Rouge's Tale its fun and has necromancy and is only seven dollars without its dlcs but just a warning the game takes a long time to get around to being effective enough to be regularly using undead minions. But the game is kinda older so it has lots of guides.
Seeing how the new Zelda is on here, have you considered the old GameCube game Lost Kingdoms? It is coincidentally made by From Software of all people and is a real bop to play - with summons of varying types - some of which are very much undead!
Hmmmmmm…… I would like to suggest Skul the Hero Slayer. Some of the skulls you can equip allows you to summon undead minions. Though do note it is a difficult game.
I don't know if mods count. But it seems to me that there are cooler mods about necromancy for Minecraft. Overlord it adds the ability to create your own army, give them commands and improve them. Or Necromancy, which adds the ability to create your own special abomination from monster parts. If mods don't count, I'm sorry, I just thought it was worthy of mention.
Age of wonder 4 after some updates with perks/skills, they added a lot of summoning and necromancy stuff now. Also Magicraft has great summoning skills in the game(no necromancy tho)
Check out the Heroes of Might and Magic franchise. It's a turn based strategy game. You can play as Necromancers starting with the second game, and there are 7 games total. Heroes 3 is generally regarded as the best, followed by Heroes 5, 4, and 2. The quality slips with Heroes 6 and 7, but they're not terrible, just OK. Heroes 1 is good but it's old and lacks too many features, and it doesn't have Necromancers.
There are to minecraft mods I can recommend with necromancy electroblobs wizardry for 1.12.2 and irons spells and spellbooks from version 1.18.2 to 1.21.1
nothing scratches the itch of the true necromancer for me tbh... i want the HORDES, the not too strong and not too weak, no timers, not immortal, it has to be an MMO and they even have collision (basicly imagine mount and blade bannerlord scale while being in an MMO. yes there is a warhammer mod that adds necromancy but it aint an MMO)
I can't recommend Heroes of Annihilated Empires enough to fellow enjoyers of the dead Its pretty much old Cossacks games with all of it hundreds of units, but in fantasy world, with one of factions being undead with dirt cheap chaff units where you can have HUNDREDS constantly stream out of barracks just marching on to your opponent's base
I recommend trying out the OLD spellforce game not Spellforce 2 or 3 Spellforce especially with its expansion note here, the game is made in germany, so the english dub is ATROCIOUS and its too old to have subtitles in a separate language... you can start as a necromancer right out of the gate (its a black magic specialisation) and you start with simple skelly boys that punch your enemies that with increasing spell level get better gear. you will also unlock other summonable undeads and even a large scale AOE reanimate spell the nightelves in the game you can build an army from with the right monument have as their race passive that their corpses reanimate at night into undead, with one of their casters upgrades turning them into venomous spiders upon reanimation also the necromancer gets the most types of minions outside of maybe the Nature White mage and has the best penultimate summons spells on their last levels of their necromancy skill, which is part of the Shadow of the Phoenix expansion which you can start with your Order of Dawn character or Wrath of Winter character, each actually having their own story in said expansion. ANYWAYS, their Level 18, 19, 20 summons are the Iron ones, the main bad guys from Order of Dawn. constructs of black steel, animated by soulgem inserted into their chests. You have the Iron Soldier, basic spammable grunt, the iron weaver, frost magic wielding caster and the Iron Precept heavy hitting tank with super sized sythe blades for arms that in their lore use 6 soulgems made from sacrificing 6 pure hearted elven maidens (not your summons though, they are less evil) and they WRECK STUFF!
also to note your summon cap is limited by your mana regeneration, as your summons consum mana in intervals to still be active, if you run out, they die till your regen catches up again.
This comment was brought to you by War Thunder. Hurt yourself and others now, by the means of tanks, planes, ships and helicopters - all in one game. I really should get money for this. But i also enjoy the game.

The witch in Path of exile 2 is going to be a very fun Necromancer, Alternatively you can also play a necromancer in Diablo... but wait POE2
@@spartan117407 i think Torchlight 2 might have a class. Apparently Valheim does in Mistlands.
5:10 NO GOD PLZ NOOOO LEAVE THE NO SUMMON LIMMIT
The server did not survive that, sadly. We had to limit it so that the game would even run for everyone lmao.
nothing scratches the itch of the true necromancer for me tbh... i want the HORDES, the not too strong and not too weak, no timers, not immortal, it has to be an MMO and they even have collision (basicly imagine mount and blade bannerlord scale while being in an MMO. yes there is a warhammer mod that adds necromancy but it aint an MMO)
if youre into tabletop games, Magnagothica: Maleghast might be a good pick \o/
What is the name of the Necromancer OC
I really enjoy these videos and she is a damn cutie :3
I got slapped >:(
Play valheim! it has necromancy even if it is only fairly late into the game it is very good in my opinion
Actually Played that a lot when it First released. Really Need to get back into it again :D
@@RisingBlurTRi saw friends use it when they got to Mistlands
9:30 no way hellgate in this game is just a nether portal
Fuck I can’t unsee it
I can't recommend Heroes of Annihilated Empires enough to fellow enjoyers of the dead
Its pretty much old Cossacks games with all of it hundreds of units, but in fantasy world, with one of factions being undead with dirt cheap chaff units where you can have HUNDREDS constantly stream out of barracks just marching on to your opponent's base
Too bad the Ender Dragon didn't get defeated before the server shutdown.
Attempt #4 maybe 5 of asking Blur to look at unferat
Ok ok ill do it
@@RisingBlurTR YES FINALLY
Try to Gothic 2 New Balance, i was made i think best necromancer in ARPGs
Another video, another lack of Graveyard Keeper. And Dungeons of Dreadmor.
Grim dawn is one of the best games of that type. I would say its much better than diablo 4.
I can totally see that.
It is really good.
My only complain about the zelda game is how they miss the opportunity to be really funny and call it the legend of link
I recommend trying out the OLD spellforce game
not Spellforce 2 or 3
Spellforce
especially with its expansion
note here, the game is made in germany, so the english dub is ATROCIOUS and its too old to have subtitles in a separate language...
you can start as a necromancer right out of the gate (its a black magic specialisation) and you start with simple skelly boys that punch your enemies that with increasing spell level get better gear. you will also unlock other summonable undeads and even a large scale AOE reanimate spell
the nightelves in the game you can build an army from with the right monument have as their race passive that their corpses reanimate at night into undead, with one of their casters upgrades turning them into venomous spiders upon reanimation
also
the necromancer gets the most types of minions outside of maybe the Nature White mage and has the best penultimate summons spells on their last levels of their necromancy skill, which is part of the Shadow of the Phoenix expansion which you can start with your Order of Dawn character or Wrath of Winter character, each actually having their own story in said expansion.
ANYWAYS, their Level 18, 19, 20 summons are the Iron ones, the main bad guys from Order of Dawn. constructs of black steel, animated by soulgem inserted into their chests. You have the Iron Soldier, basic spammable grunt, the iron weaver, frost magic wielding caster and
the Iron Precept
heavy hitting tank with super sized sythe blades for arms that in their lore use
6 soulgems made from sacrificing 6 pure hearted elven maidens (not your summons though, they are less evil)
and they WRECK STUFF!
also to note
your summon cap is limited by your mana regeneration, as your summons consum mana in intervals to still be active, if you run out, they die till your regen catches up again.
Has anyone recommended Bastard Bonds? 😅😂
Actually no. What’s that about?
YESSSS MOOOOORRRRE AHAHAHA
Who’s the thumbnail waifu

Hurt yourself and others now, by the means of tanks, planes, ships and helicopters - all in one game.
I really should get money for this. But i also enjoy the game.
