The art is drawn by the person who did Final Fantasy Tactics, which is why it looks the way it did. He improved a ton in the past 10 years too if you look at it gradually, as a fan who's been playing it. Its got a lot of the flavor that makes it uniquely gbf if you're a fan but glad you've been enjoying it!
Played a show floor demo of this game and was sold by the potential. So much that I came back and played the same demo 3 to 4 times. I'm only really familiar with the fighting games they released and only a quick research on the franchise itself. But I'd say the games are solid, and I'm looking forward to this one. Only sad part is that this demo is only on PlayStation but not on Steam. Plus my favorite character was in the demo \o/
