Renowned Carnatic musician T M Krishna is an intellectual, a social activist, an author, columnist all rolled into one. Someone who stands firm on a range of political issues, whether it is the NRC or farmers' protest or CAA… We have come across many facets of this angry young man. He is the winner of the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2016. This citation says it all. It was for his “forceful commitment as an artist and advocate of art's power to heal India's social division, to break barriers of caste and class to unleash what music has to offer not just for some but for all”.

I really dont't know Tm Krishna in person. He might be a good person who is fighting for a cause and if so that's appreciatable. It is a joke when people think that when some one from the so called higher community talks about basic humanity stuffs like equality and aboltion of caste then suddenly they are all considered as heros. You don't become a rebel by fighting agaisnt caste systems, you simply become a good person. If fighting for basic human rights is considered as a rebel's thing then Mr. EVR was right as ever.
