Gear - Recommendations - Build
5 resilient pieces with either elemental aversion or shirking fortification as 2nd or 3rd perk
Empowering leaping strike (best on the weapon)
Fortifying Perforate (must have)
Sundering Javelin (must have)
Enfeebling Skewer (nice to have but not a must)
Reverse Backstab (nice to have but not a must)
As for weapon perks, I would always recommend any attunement perk other than flame attunement, Keenly Empowered/Rogue/Enchanted as secondary, and any good third perk you can find.
As for the shield try to mix the perks because they don't stack with the sword, an example would be;
Shield: Keen, Vicious, Keenly Empowered
Sword: Attunement, Rogue, Enchanted
As for Amulet I would recommend Thrust Protection, Health + Any good third perk.
Ring you could just use the champions ring if you have it, but the best would be Invigorated Punishment/Mortal Empowerment + (Any whacky dmg element such as Nature/Light/Arcane) and any useful third perk such as blood letting.
Earring can be Doom chance's earring (Genesis), Teardrop (Barnacles) or even champions earring

Great video. Let the action speak for itself. Worth noting that this is a 1v1 build that matches up great against mages but can’t go into the flag point.
Unless played medium you're absolutely right! Light dps/mages especially in the current patch cannot sustain fights within clumps/clutter, and should mostly resort playing in the outskirt!

Been having a lot of fun with the build though I am still working on improving my javelin throws. I have been having some trouble with flamethrowers in OPR. Any suggestions?
I would recommend running some elemental aversion pieces and at least 7%~ elemental gem resistances

From time to time I spice it up and get back on it, however as of late I've been enjoying BB + IG (light)! A build that I will be potentially making a video on.
Im playing something simular to this. But i use medium armor. Thought on that? Is light overall better?
Sorry for the late reply, but medium armor would work fine on this too! However your chasing capabilities would be hindered.
Im a returning player just started again and got killed by u in OPR real hard haha nice to see ur build in action. Will try that too! But i just have 540 expertise so i have a hard time in OPR rn
haha, glad to hear that you're giving the game another shot! I would recommend grinding genesis normal, it's the fastest way to gain expertise alongside crafting your daily gypsum!
I`m curious to know why you use elemental gem in Both weapons. I rarely se this on Spear. Opal seems to be the go to.
Hello! In this video I was running a nature type gem and ring (5% dmg) due to the fact that in DT/Barri a lot of healers/ranged DPS stack thrust protection, converting the damage into a resistance they do not have much of will increase the overall output damage.
However on servers that do not stack thrust protection, Opal will always be better, I breakdown this information on my latest video (in-depth guide) of the "Spartan Hunter" build
nice build, i have to check it, do you think i can use id in medium armor ?
It's definitely possible to play this build in medium, however chasing light users will be harder if you don't have leaping strike or javelin throw available, the upside is that you will be stronger at fighting close quarters with other melee hunter builds or bruisers!

I am using light, all pieces light including shield

Yes! although you have a shield you are not a tank haha, but as a DPS for sure!

We need more builds like this and The Atlas. Everywhere you look you see PVP videos with Bow, rapier, hatchet and fs.....boring as hell
