You are absolutely correct, I have the AD-4W "Fleet Eye" or early airborne warning version of this aircraft molded in brittle dark blue plastic. The most glaring mistake with this kit is the engine cowling is completely wrong, otherwise it's a decent offering of the Skyraider, you can see the previous owner tried to correct that issue. Italeri acquired a number of the old ESCI molds a few years ago, I have their F-5E kit and it's not bad but covered in raised panel lines and rivets, the decals are excellent, vastly better then dealing with the 25 year old decals from ESCI kits!!
