First, thanks for your reaction, Chris! Despite their busy schedule and little rehearsal time between commitments, Seventeen managed to deliver this impeccable choreography with backup dancers. The musicality and detail of the movements do not disappoint
Thank you for another SVT’s reaction. In no particular order, If you leave me, don quixote, shadow, and march are my favorites. I love the dance practice of don quixote, it was great when they performed it live in the GDA.
Domino was one of my favorites when the album came out and then I got lost in watching tour performances and getting hype about Don Quixote and I forgot about Domino, it REALLY NEEDS choreo and a performance, it's so fun feeling. But as for Don Quixote, it is perfect really. They killed it as per usual
Not sure who these specific dancers are but in the past Seventeen has worked with Team Same (main choreography collaborators since debut, backup dancers on group and solo tracks, subs for members), Demitasse Project (co-choreographed and performed Fearless along with Team Same) and 1Million (Cheers), among others. Given how many people there are I'd guess it's multiple teams like with Fearless and Team Same is almost certainly part of it -partly bc of their long history, partly bc I _think_ I recognized Jidae (he subbed in for Seungkwan in the Homerun MV and throughout 24H era, and helped choreograph Left & Right, Anyone and Cheers).
This certainly doesn't seem like the most *difficult* SVT choreography, but that doesn't make it any less amazing. I feel like the total control, playing with the speed, and perfect synchronization are really impeccable in this choreo. They play a lot with formations and I absolutely adore the recurring motion of lifting their sword to the sky. Don Quixote has actually been my favorite track since the album first dropped, so I am over the moon that we finally got a performance of it!! My second and third favorite tracks are Shadow and If You Leave Me - but there is also a joke amongst me and my coworkers that Cheers will be played at the funeral and everyone in attendance MUST shake their bootys. Also, side note, but Woozi starting this song is....*CHEFS KISS* perfect.
The dancers here are most likely from Team Same (crew led by Choi Youngjun, Seventeen's main co-choreographer since debut) and Team Aura (most of the girls). They've been working with them for years now. Some of them are pretty well known in the industry, one of the Aura dancers was even a dance coach/judge on the then-popular survival show Produce 101. And one of the Team Same dancers, Zdae, is well-known by Carats because Hoshi/Dino/Woozi often hang out with him and make short choreos together for fun (yes, Woozi too !).
