Yep..I just hit 57 and saw Udo in the original lineup in Dallas Texas for the Balls to the Wall and Metal Heart tours and he's still going strong here..awesome and I still love it !
I saw 90 year old Willie Nelson a couple weeks ago. His ability is clearly diminished but he still knows how to use what he has to remain musically pleasing. Amazing really but he didn’t half ass it when he easily could at his age
I bet you that Ken Tamplin guy (who has a lot of faith in habilitating aging vocalists) would say Udo D needs to get in better shape… singing is extremely physical - easier while you’re young- and as the vocal folds age and stiffen, singers need much better breathing support to produce a strong tone & good pitch control. That would be cool if he worked with Ken!
@@johnzarate9212 Absolutely !! About to plug in and jam this song on my guitar..its as badass now as it was way back then when it came out..I neede to hear this today !
Since the mid 70’s these guys have lived it! So awesome! I was 16 when this came out in 84 and still just epitomizes metal rock to a T to this day plus better! 🤘
Udo is the man! First heard this song on an old radio station called Metal Shop when I was was a teenager. Been a Fan ever since! Those were the days! Glad to see them days are still going for those who never forgot!
Metal Shop KISW Seattle 99.9 FM in the 80's, I think it was on every weeknight for an hour. It's on Saturday nights now and most of the stuff is death metal with the shitty demonic hoarse-ass "vocals". Gimme old-school stuff like this all day, any day, every day!
This brings me joy. I'm not even a metal fan to be honest but there's something so elegant and earnest about Udo, the musicians around him, and the music they write and play. I'd have absolutely loved to have been at this show.
Я не фанат UDO...но! Почёт и Уважение уже Реальному Динозавру и уже настоящей Легенде Метала!! Его уже слушают дети, родители которых любили его в 80-х🤘🤘🤘✌✌✌
Saw Udo and Baltes back in 1985 when they were in Accept. It was the Metal Heart tour. This song was like a signature song for the band and it's an ageless tune. hearing it today brings back so many memories of that time. Accept had opened for Iron Maiden. What an awesome show it was. I still listen to Accept today. My favorite album is Rise of Chaos.🤘
OMG WOW WHAT A SHOW ..... love these guys forever . and fellas just keep jamming never stop the awesome music and live like an eagle , feast , wine , women , rock n roll , lots of hut tube , good food , good TV , maybe. lil RUclips and then just keep jamming , forever and ever ... awww yes . thx guys , luv u
When I first watched this I thought Udo went and hired a Baltes look alike. I thought that was him, but I thought not since he’s got his Accept gig with Wolf and then I seen 4:45 time stamp. Baltes 👏
Agreed. I feel Peter is terribly underrated in the grand scheme of things. The stuff he did on Metal Heart is simply mindblowing. Killer bassist. Also nice to know there is no acrimony between the classic band members.
As much as people like to criticize Wolf and his current Accept lineup I personally take it over this on any given day. Not that Udo's band is bad or anything but it seems that Accept just has more energy and Wolf's tone is unmatchable. And even though Udo is the original guy who can't be replaced Mark is in much better shape in every possible way. ruclips.net/video/4uQFX8QF7aA/видео.html
I've always loved Udo. His recent new music is genius as well so its not just the ACCEPT years with Wolf bc this man knows how to produce the highest level talent music plus choose the appropriate instrumental artists with any musical instrument, even to this day, at his age. Ya gotta love this man. Astounding work.
Dang. I’m flashing back to my early teens and all the articles in “Guitar for the practicing Musician” magazine by Wolfe Marshall. The first I remember was for this song.
Those EMG’s have been the sound of this anthem since it came out. Although I don’t think he had the bridge J pickup on his bass he recorded with. I still haven’t found a set of pickups I love as much as the EMG PJ
@@ionehkontehdiabo7627 The EMG pickup has been a heavy metal classic for decades for a reason, they are thick, meaty, reliable as hell, and rock solid.
@@TheHangarHobbit I still haven’t found a pickup that thumps the way this does. Even the EMG X doesn’t do it. there’s something special with ‘em. When I think of EMG bass pickups, the chant part of Balls comes to mind. All I got to figure out is the exact EQ to match the tone. I’m extremely close and I think all I’m missing is nickel strings, I’ve been running stainless for a while
I'm glad he's still rocking, and wish him the best, but it's a little hard listening to him now. When I hear this song, the original version is playing in my head.
Udo and Peter, that says it all! Unfortunately, Stefan has serious disc probs and Jörg has retired for a long time. I don't want to lose a word on the Hoff-man!
I lived in Germany in the early 90s and I go to these huge festivals and when I returned to the States, I saw these same bands play tiny clubs. It made no sense to me.
Keep on rockin in the end-times folks now more than ever we're going to need something to give us hope God bless a c c e p t God bless you all amen save us Jesus Christ amen
Udo dirkschneider was the only one in metal that didnt have long hair I know he's not as young as he used to be but I still would like to see him ride The Wrecking ball again on stage
This made me smile, in the best possible way. At 58, I have nothing but respect for this man, killing it at 71 years old. God bless Udo! Legend.
Lol....respect?????.....killing it????ahahaha
You gotta be kidding. Absolutely awful
Rob Halford is also 71 and is massively better than Udo.

He's killing it. And he's actually singing. Mad props!
You call that singing?
I saw Accept live in Seattle at the Moore theater. 1984 or 85. It was epic.
