- #Aquariums The Aquarium hobby will always present new challenges no matter how long you have kept tropical fish or grown live plants, or how much experience you have had, in this video I share why I'm giving up and what I'm doing next.

Good move! Let nature take its course 😄
Soon the fish will need to grow legs and walk, it's like a swamp 😂🤣😅
There are definitely ups and downs...
Man I wish I lived close... I would be getting plants from you. .
I need to see more of your growing system Colin.
How do you hang your baskets.
Also like your emmersed system .
Awesome growth there Colin.
Growing plants in baskets could be the new thing!!
🎉 keep them videos coming!
That's the plan :)
Cool
Hey Aaron, thanks for visiting :)
Dear Colin Barsby:
Oh wow, those anubias and Bucephalandra are super-terrific! I do appreciate them, though slow-growing species tend to get covered in algae. I have four true Siamese algae-eaters (Crossocheilus oblongus), in my, 120-gallon tank. I have more, which I ordered from a pet store, and intend to pick up, today, for my, 75-gallon tank. They will be in quarantine, at a friend’s house, for 21 days, if all goes well, and I’ll be able to keep plants free of algae, in both my, largest tanks. But, for my, 20-gallon and 10-gallon tanks, this fish is too large and boisterous. I have to use manual removal, on algae, in those tanks, so slow-growing plants and driftwood are ill-advised.
Thank you for sharing this, amazing video on keeping aquatic plants.
All my best,
Sincerely,
E. J. Brinegar
Thanks E.J. I'm glad you enjoyed the video AND that your fish collection is growing :)
Great video. Hope to see your home business expanding soon. What is the pH and hardness of your water? Once you "dial in" the anubias you will be surprised at the large mother plants that develop. As you know I am growing in a separate container with Miracle Grow soil and a daily spray of MG solution.
Growing plants in baskets seems to work!!
I make more money selling plants than from RUclips.
Our water is 6.8 PH and

Always something to play with in fishtanks inside and ponds outside 😁👍🏻
I haven't seen ur vids in a while I remember u keeping rams question at what pH and KH did u kept them at?
Our water in my city is perfect for Sth American tropical fish, the PH is 6.8 and ultra low GH and KH.
@@AussieAquatic damn I wish I had that luck my water is around 7.8 I really wanna try some rams but it probably won't work unless I get some local bred ones
