It ain’t easy, that’s for sure. But the narrow road never is. I thank God for giving me the strength and grace to deny this flesh. Going on 5 years since I became celibate. Got saved, then baptized, during the pandemic and something was instantly changed in me. I’m 44 years old and single, but was living a promiscuous lifestyle, prostitution even. BUT GOD!! Amazing. I am a new creature and the ONLY one I’m concerned with pleasing now is Christ 🙌🙏✝️❤️

She's right. You can tell in a very short time because they can't control themselves in the way they talk to you. It's disrespectful, and you can tell very easily. Sometimes, the ones you meet inside the church are the worst, so be careful ladies

True this one guy said he had been abstaining. Every chance he got he was talking sexually. I found myself doing it too even tho I had been abstaining for a while. I felt conviction and stopped. Every time I would steer the conversation away from sex and back to God, he would get upset. I told him Nah, you've been feeding that monster
Praise God you got outta that. The enemy will most definitely attempt to feed our flesh with temptation. He uses people to us.

Yes. This is something to consider. It is okay to simply be single for a while, choose to work on your relationship with Christ, and allow God to work on you. MANY of us need a DEEP healing and transformation. We aren't ready for all of that like we think we are. Marriage is much more than sex. Marriage is for GOD'S purpose and to choose to glorify GOD and GOD alone in JESUS' MAME. I pray you ALL'S strength in the LORD. GOD TRULY DOES LOVE AND CARE FOR YOU AND SO DO I. AMEN. ❤❤❤

All you she had to say was you need to be able to discern his spirit and listen for God to speak to you. He’ll always reveal truth to you. And even before you go on one date, set your boundaries. A great man of God said”You shouldn’t date unless you are ready to get married” this will cut down on all temptation. Your flesh will always cause you to sin. That’s why we always need to stay walking in God’s spirit and never letting our flesh rule.
What's also missing in this particular short clip is that CELIBACY IS A GIFT FROM GOD, which means that it does not come innately (will require more work for most) and isn't something that is meant to bring internal shame around a person's natural sexual desires (people don't become less horny just because they strive for holiness). Paul talks about this when discussing marriage life in 1 Corinthians 7

Going to church doesn't mean that you are in a relationship with Christ or that you are saved. Perhaps God is just telling you that you don't need to be worried about connecting to a man on that level right now at all and just focusing on your relationship with Christ. With God, you don't have to rush anything, and it doesn't have to be forced. God knows how to bring it all together and work it out if it is His will for your life. I pray your strength in the LORD IN JESUS' NAME. THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH.
When your husband is revealed, he will stand head and shoulders above the rest. You having the proper relationship with God, you will not see every man as having husband potential, but only the one God has for you in God's divine time. Prayer, patience, obedience, and discernment are key my sister. He is out there!
@mekaw0 I appreciate the encouragement. For a second, I started to become hopeless because I'm not getting any younger. I've never been married and don't have any kids. Waiting for my husband. And men seem like they don't respect for celibacy.

@BreGrateful I definitely feel you on not getting any younger!! But God has shown me that I’ve made an idol out of marriage and men, and I must learn to yearn for and seek Him, seek Jesus. Instead of marriage and men.
Plus when I actually am honest with myself, as old as I am, God is still working on me and working to make me into a suitable helpmeet if it’s His will. Accepting His timing and His way should be my focus and being a better me. The rest is bonus. 😊 Praying God comforts our lonely hearts like only He can. 💕🙏🏾😘

Yeah because some guys will know that you've been celibate for years but they will still try to talk to you about sex or sexual things even though you're uncomfortable and don't want to talk about it
And that's when you have to be confident and assertive about what you will not tolerate. Shut that convo down immediately.

To attempt to tell a human to not to have sex unless married is just absurd.. it can cause sexual deviance & predatory behavior... not including the guilt that religion is attempting to impose on "single" people. I am a preachers daughter, I know the Bible etc...a lot of the scripture we are being told to follow is from thousands of years ago. It doesn't all pertain to the days we live in now....
You are going on like you’ll die without it. God is just giving boundaries, have all the sex you want with your spouse. I think its absurd to have sex with people when your not married to them, it just doesn’t make sense to me.
