Children that doesn't even know their full extended family is here arguing about the identity of an old man whose identity was passed to him from his ancestors. Pls this is history revision and I am from Igbanke and We are Ika people, We speak Ika dialect of Igbo, We have the same dieties as Ika people. We have the same culture as Ika people, We are closer to Ika people geographically. In 1991, Igbanke was carved into Edo state, before then we know Agbor, Boji boji as our kit and kin. Prominient Igbanke people are Rema, his father's name is Chukwuemeke, Davido's mum is from Igbanke too, meaning She is from Ika subgroup etc. Pls google for yourself to see the truth about Igbanke. This Elder dey hungry, so he don collect money.
Nice one. May God and our ancestors bless both of you. Please brother, try to inform your guest ahead and give them the idea of the interview for them to prepare. Thou the Epa did very well.
I will like to ask people this question, and i need someone to respond to this question. The time edo and delta with the yoruba where together as one western regions with the yoruba, (1) do we call, or do we have western igbo at that time? (2) after edo and delta now separated from the yoruba, we now name our region, Midwestern Region, (3) do we have the name call Midwestern igbo at that time? What i now remember, is that, it was the time of bendel state, they start calling bendel igbo, what make the delta people to add that igbo name to call them delta igbo? Because the igbo are from the South East region, they came to Midwestern Region for a business, on the name of one Nigeria. They now come in numbers to marginalised the asaba, iseluku Agbor and anioma, they are now saying today now that this people are igbo. Because they allowed them to their home. On the name of one Nigeria. Just the same things the hausa accept the fulani to their home. Now the fulani are claiming the land of hausa land today. It is not the same things the igbo are doing now to the anioma people, so to Asaba people, so to Agbor people and iseluku people. Telling them that they are igbo. If you see any different about what I said now, please respond to me. To me There is no difference between fulani and the igbo. Trying to Grab people land and property to be their own. Is that a good one?
@@Majesta123 Ur just few in this Delta because we Igbos here must join our people if case maybe of division stop adding us to ur South south region please
Has any other tribes co existed with Igbo ? 45 years of colonization no single tribe co existed with Igbo, Abazona people of Cameron ran away, Adaka Boro deckear independent so his people can run away . Igbo means Morocco or weed, people that naturally behave like someone that smoke weed or Morocco.
You are equally a f⁰⁰l at 40 to think an old man like this doesn't know his origin. Is your name Gavin an Igbo name, does that now mean you are an English man. Your thinking power is so shallow.
Nice to see mr acha it been years I saw him Last . I am from igbontor iganke hospital road. One thing I hate about this Igbo people they like to claim all tribe . When ever u mention you are from Igbanke’ be it on twitter Facebook or tik tok . They will be telling you that you don’t know were you come from that you re Igbo 😂 so mr acha as old as he is dose not know were he came from . I know this particular man since I was kid
He said his names are Robert Chukwuemeka. Is Chukwuemeka a Benin name? Some of you people in Igbo Akiri which has been corrupted to Igbanke are very clueless about your origin.. very shameful!!!

If you interview another person in this village, he will give you a different account of their origin. That’s why I don’t believe all these oral accounts.
Exactly. So much contradictions depending who you ask. The only truth I see is that there's ab element of Igno and Edo in Igbanke and they are more similar to Ika people.
This Elder is an History revisionist. Igbanke is a community located in Orhionmwon, Edo State. Igbanke belongs to the Ika speaking group with a significant number in the Ika South and North East LGAs of Delta State. Igbanke was carved into Edo State during the creation of the state on August 27, 1991 hence separating them from the larger Ika group in Delta State. The Igbanke community is divided into 6 villages: Omolua, Ottah, Idumuodin, Ake, Olije and Igbontor. My mother is from Igbanke and Agbor Obi in Delta and this Elder is a disgrace to the entire IKA NATION. His name is Chukwuemeke, pls what does this name means in Bini or Igbanke and cross checked it with the Ika dialect meaning. What about the culture, market days, Names of their dieties and God.
Keep quiet there! How old are you to understand your history than your elder. Did you not hear him how he narrated how the various communities were formed.
@@beninculturalaffairsTv Which elder???? The one that doesn't know his history. My mother is my Elder and she told me that Igbanke was IgboAkiri and they speak Ika dialect of Igbo. The Ika people are not from Bini and so is Igbanke.
False history. Igbanke are Igbos. They're part of Anioma Igbos who are their neighbors, they were simply carved into Edo state for political reasons. Their language is Igbo, their culture and 5 market days are Igbo, the lying old man even bears Igbo names and Igbanke is an old Igbo word. They live at the western boundary of Igbo land. In the olden days, the Benin empire conquered so many neighboring tribes including the whole of Anioma up to river Niger. The Igbos did not have a central government but eventually they fought and freed themselves but they had adopted several Benin traditions including kingship. Because Biafra lost the war, Igbos that live at the border of Igbo land started to deny being Igbo just as Peter denied Jesus in time of trouble. There is no tribe that has two languages. Igbanke language is Igbo but a few of them understand Benin because they're under Benin rule. All these lying elders just want to avoid marginalization in Nigeria and Edo state but if you study their culture they're core Igbos.
Exactly if war break out today bini will be chase to Ile ife I am telling you , honestly thus war they are looking by grabbing our people tell them we false a name on them let referendum is created today and see if the whole of South south won't join Igbo because they believe in Igbo man creativity without anything else
@RAnderson-n4x There is no tribe on earth that has more than one language. If people within a tribe speak two languages, only one is their native language, the other is simply a borrowed language eg, the Fulani speak Hausa in addition to their native Fulfude but that doesn't mean that Hausa is their native language and it does not mean that they are Hausas.

Igbos have been in existence before Nigeria was created, all this confusion is about political inclusion
