I would recommend to do your highlighter before your blush, ( for reference, I use powder highlighters ) just place it the same way as you always do and then put the blush on, that way the highlighter does not sit on top of your skin, but gives you this fresh, healthy, glow from within kind of look 😊
This sounds good! I always feel like my blush isn't popping enough. If I add more we start to get muddy. I'm going to try this out!

Love this advice. I clean my brushes once a week but I do use the Sephora daily brush cleaner and I wipe each one on a makeup eraser when I'm done.
I like using cleansers like that when I need to use my brushes and haven't had time to wash them that week!

This was a really fun video, would love to see more makeup educational kind of videos. I am guilty of of the brush washing. I try to wash them once a week but it actually happens once a month. I bought the Stylepro in the hope that it would motivate me to wash them more frequently, but i still wash them monthly. I do use a sigma switch and makeup brush spray cleaner in between to at least help disinfect them and remove product. But the deep clean is just so time consuming and takes ages to dry

The hack for smeared mascara is THE BEST! It helped me several times haha.

I never understood why cleaning the brushes is so big deal .I put make up in the bathroom mirror over the sink . As I use them I dumb them in the sink . When done I wash them my hands etc and out them on a holder ready for the next time . Usually I will put them in the vase the next day and get some different clean ones just to ensure that they are fully dry . I don't know if I am doing something wrong . I use soap . The same soap I used to stick my eyebrows . No flakes I use transparent soap

I wash my eyeshadow brushes after every use too. Face every 2 weeks just because I wear face makeup 2-3 times a week. But obviously if you're a busier person than me, that may not be an option.
The brush washing gets me every time. My powder brushes still get liquid/cream product buildup and it’s definitely helped washing more often
I spent about an hour washing brushes and sponges yesterday 😫😅
I wash my brushes after every use. I have multiple sets, I work around them in rotation then wash them all in one go.

I saw you mention the mascara hack before and it truly does work. I will most of the time get a bit of mascara on my upper eye lid, right on top of my carefully done shadow. Wait for it to dry and and gently scrape off with a stiff spoolie. Bam, mascara disaster over. So easy ❤❤❤

Love this type of video! What do you think about the Cinema Secrets brush cleaner? I clean my brushes once a week with this, and once a month I use actual soap and water. I also have a Sigma switch for daily stuff. I use my brushes for the same product types-bronzer brush, blush brush, and I am the only one using my makeup. I am not prone to breakouts, and have a drier skin type. More videos like this please!
I love my Cinema Secrets for emergencies! I don’t count that as washing my brushes but it’s so helpful when I want to use a brush but haven’t had time to wash 💖😀 and I looooove my sigma switch!

I LOVE THIS!!! Def been guilty a time or two of for a “do-over” as it were, I take a clean Kleenex, lean back at my vanity and drape it over my face-and gently but firmly press the tissue into my face to soak up any xtra-whatever that xtra is for the individual. I honestly tend to over skin prep, so recently I had to re-evaluate my skin prep, even choosing to knock a serum or what have you to nights instead, which btw has helped me out tremendously and I’m still getting the benefits of said product but now it doesn’t interfere w/the makeup. This “trick” works well for foundation too if u feel (oops)I’ve applied too much but no time to remove and start over, this usually does the trick. Also a DRY/CLEAN sponge and push it into those areas that maybe have too much product it seems to soak up any excess w/out ruining what has already been done. The rice/blotting papers are great too, I’m just cheap and those cost more than tissues 😂😂😂😂 As always Heather, ur always bringing us an absolute “A” game of knowledge and experience that even my 53 yr ol ‘ butt can learn a thing or three from you- never cease to please and amaze with ur beautiful self🔥🤩👏🏻❤️

I was my synthetic brushes once a week and my natural hair every 3 weeks, if I've used natural with cream then every week. I only use a makeup sponge twice, and then i wash it. One time i saw my niece and she had her makeup bag out and i saw her sponge 🙈 i said when did you last wash that and she looked at me like i was the wrong one 😂 she said i use mine for a few months then just buy new ones 😱

I wash my brushes every night when I wear makeup. I wash them while I do my night routine. My daughter doesn't wash her brushes, so I go in there and wash her brushes.

Hey girl love all these tips...im guilty of dirty brushes which is y i prefer to use a sponge and my fingers lol...i also accumulated a good amount of brushes because i hate cleaning them lol...i would love to see how u clean your brushes though ..im sure if u wash them weekly they are less dirty and easier to clean 🤔...also yes please do eyeshadow tips...your such a pro at eyeshadow ❤

Does the mascara trick work for eyeliner lol. When I put it on my upper lid sometimes I blink and now it has ruined my eye look. Also any tips on how to get foundation to stay on your nose? I feel like when I apply foundation on my nose it just doesn’t stay, looks patchy I use a sponge, a brush, primer, no primer. Different foundation nothing is working for me.
