Many thanks Mr Techcat ! I went into hospital on April 10 with chest pains and breathing difficulties and ended up on a COVID ward at what in the UK was pretty much the peak . I was lucky compared to many but it was pretty unpleasant nonetheless and although on the way to getting fixed still have issues, breathing etc. One of the first things I did when I escaped was to purchase an eBike from a local supplier based in Woking to get me out and about without placing too much strain on my aged frame which is still pretty knackered to be blunt and the eBikes fantastic , I have done over 200 km so far and use pedals for aerobic benefit, circulation etc whilst still knowing I have the power option to get me back. Mine is the none branded E-Bike S3, full suspension folding type with a twist throttle and cadence sensor with 20 inch wheels and it clearly comes off the same production line and design house as your SAMEBIKE you show in the vid. Mine has the S866 control unit which clearly comes from the same software house as yours . After watching your vid I tried the first method first, holding down the right break and pushing the power button for 5 seconds and low and behold it worked ! I went out for a test run and hey presto achieved 30 km. Last night I experimented more , I used your second method , holding down the ± keys simultaneously to access the software pages, went to 08 power settings and changed the setting from 30 kph to 35 kph, I then ran a free wheel test ( wouldn't have thought of that but for your vid !) using the throttle and achieved 35 kph with ease. I will confess I then set it to 50 powered her up and she was turning comfortably at 50 kph but I am happy with 35kph or 21 mph and don't want to overstress the motor so I've set it back to there. About to go out for another test run and will report back . Mark
If you have any electronic servicing skills and basic mechanic skills you could upgrade the battery for higher capacity to handle the higher speed and longer range. Can be done internally DIY if purchasing the battery is difficult to get hold of
i have a chinese no name electric 2 seater bike with a basket infront, tried this and it worked! from a max speed slight uphill of 12kmh to 22kmh, and a max speed slight downhill from 21kmh to 32kmh! thanks so much guys:)
Thank you. So many videos include ebike with inbuild speedos. Unlike mine. The full throttle, key on (heard a beep noise after about 5 seconds), released and key off worked. Great.
it works when i pull the throttle and lock he right brake at the same time, then turning on the bike and holding them for 10sec. it gets me 29km/h and the motor its still running.
I don't know what my speed was before doing this, but after buying a speedometer and trying this I was going 18-19 mph on flat surfaces on a Swagtron EB5 rated for 15.5 MPH. So either this worked or it came faster from factory! Happy either way
Yo this works with my samebike XMX1214.. even though it’s not the one in this video, I made sure the Bike was fully changed.. I tried a combination of switching it on, pressing the brakes, twisting the throttle for 5-10sec, turning it off and on again, and now my bike is reading 35-37km ph top speed.. it’s also faster on the peddle assist.. I took my bike for a spin, and it’s definitely faster, maybe this works with all the same bikes. I’m not sure what combination worked, but it works.. thanks Man 😁👍🏾👍🏾😎

No. They are different. The "carbon wheel" like this one in the vid has only 350W. MAXIMUM is 35kmh in good conditions. The other bikes with 500w can go up. To 40kmh

Hello I've just got virtually the same bike as you, I've got the engwe 400 folding bike , I can see the bike is virtually the same as yours, just different colors. I've just assembled my bike and not sure if I have a problem with it, when I ride and go over bumps I'm getting a noise from either the suspension or the head gear, like a knocking as if something Isn't tight enough with the head gear or the forks.. wondered if you ride yours over bumps if you get any noise from the handlebars, fork area or if its you get no noise please ?

Is the lo26 350w motor really a 500w that's cut down in power feed through software or is it indeed a 350w motor and when the settings are altered as shown in your video it is overvoltage power fed to make it give 500w performance? I know these things are commonly done from what I've read! Regards

Just watching this video I tried to de-restrict using the methods you show for the fido, but without success. My dohiker has only 1 button (marked M) and the display, but could you please tell me if this can be at all de-restricted. Many thanks for your time
i also have a chinese Fengwu Xinye folding e-bike (14" wheels) with only an M button on the speedo.... try this: make sure the bike is off... pull the right brake and twist the thottle to the max, hold it both for 5 seconds then turn the e-bike on. You can let go now and try if it removes the limiter. Mine went from 25 km/h to 40-45 km/h (350w motor, 48V 10ah battery). Hope this works in your e-bike.
Could you tell me something about the gears? I see you changed the left one, but the right one is still on 7. What´s the difference? I haven´t changed mine, because I don´t know the difference
@@BortPlate just by turning with my hand I have managed to make it move a millimeter of movement, I have changed the seat for one that has 5 centimeters of movement and it suits me better
I have the Same unlocked but for me these speeds are a bit lower. when pedaling and battery 100% supports up to 33km / h. setting P14 does not help because in the course of driving, it shows max at cur: 12 ramps
@@AaBb-ti4pc you can put more powerful controller but battery will sag faster and net result will be the same.. the bike might go faster for only A FEW first kilometers from full charge and still drop bellow 35km/h even faster.

If anyone has a SAMEBIKE JG20 (sometimes called YSDX20, XW-20ZC) with a controller "X863-AA004" and knows anything about it: please send mail to SameBikeJG20 at gmail My EU model was delivered in an odd state, most likely it was set up for 48V on this 36V bike, resulting in a lower than specified Vmax=20km/h (due to the 25% reduced ampere output). It DID change the setting BY ITSELF after 100miles and the bike runs 25km/h now. Actually I did like the lower speed more (due to gear ratio and cadence), cannot figure out how to set the controller to 48V mode again? I'd like to know how to 'talk' to this controller to change any of its settings (voltage, speed) externally. The bike has NO LCD display or power buttons at all, just a very basic "SAXIN" handlebar control, but several sensors like PAS; brakes, gas grip, also a horn and light button. Speed appears to be measured by the RWD motor istelf, there is no visible Hall sensor. I opened the controller and cannot identify much, no bridges, no DIP switches, apparently a serial port (Tx, Rx). I doubt that each controller is programmed individually (EU,US, 48V etc); there MUST be a way to set the thing up externally? Again: whoever knows about the controller model X863-AA004 (or derivates like X863-AA006 used in a similar bike called XMZ1214) please contact me - thanks! This doesn't work for Fiido because their controller have "hard" speed limit written on their controller. So this will NOT WORK on D1, D2 or L2, they don't even use the same display / command interface! There are just some Fiido models that come with an unlocked controller that will do ~ 30km when the battery is full and then the speed will decrease to 22-23km/h when the battery is getting lower.
Hello MrTechcat, Thank you for such informative video. I recently bought LO26 in Canada. I have few observations after riding it for 160 km in total. It may be not relevant to this video but just want to know whether everything is right with my bike or not. If you provide some guidance based on your experience then it would be highly appreciable. (This is my first electric bike) I have 500W motor option with batter of 48V-10Ah. I found that top speed is set to 20mph from control. Although when it is fully charged it can reach to maximum speed of 20mph (with my and backpack combined weight of 75 kg). But as battery start discharging it reduce the maximum speed drastically and drops to low as 13.5 mph when 25% battery charged. I also observed battery voltage sagging as it discharge. I made a table as below. Battery Charge Status 100% 50% 28% Voltage drop during throttling (V) 0 3-4 4-5 Battery % drop during throttling 0 20 25 Maximum speed with load (km/h) 30 24 22 Maximum speed without load (km/h) 31.5 27.3 26 I want to know is it normal with E-Bike tendency of low speed and voltage sagging as battery discharge?

But when voltage drops around 51 volt or less bike does not catching beyond 28 kmph, even on flat road where I observed electrical current is consuming 2-3 A. I am thinking there is a window of increasing electrical current to improve the power demand but it seems like instead of increasing the current demand it going proportional to the voltage of battery.
From what I am hearing some have a set pariminiter comtrolers others don't........pull both breaks throttle full while turning on the bike hold everything down for 5 sec. Release all at once. If iit does not work your controler can not be bypassed.

I been wondering if my mini bike like the fiddo been modified to go faster cuz i hear that bumble bee sound loud n it goes 33.8 kilometers. Is it normal for my battery? Does it mess up my battery? You can, it is the same hold the brake levers for more than 5 seconds and turn the bike on, then turn it off and on again and voila on a full battery the top speed is closer to 29 kph/18 mph. It's a little bit lower because of the smaller wheels but it has a bit more torque than Fiido D2. The controller could also take a 48V battery (auto-switching) so I plan to put a 12s3p 48Volt battery in it sometime in the future. But for the moment the increased speed and torque works nicely for me.
This information was great. I reset the speed and motor power. However, now the speed display doesn't work correctly. 😭. Any idea how to fix this back to working OK?
If your display head has a Factory Reset option, you might try that. The user manuals state that it resets EVERYTHING back to original settings. Some parameters do seem to be inter-related so by changing one another or more is affected in some way that may be difficult to predict.
You can always set the speed limits using the menu in the display controller (refer to user manual). In EKick scooter, we use the provided android app.
Hey, thanks for the vid. The samebike exists in two versions with different wheels. The one like yours is less expensive and sold as a 250w motor bike. The other one with wheels looking normal, is more expensive and sold as a 500w motor bike. Are they finally the same bikes (^^ ) with just different wheels ? Have you measured the speed with a GPS ?
If you can get the size of the tire go smaller if it's a 16-in go to 14 I heard that helps the motor thinks the tire is smaller who knows I haven't tried it yet
One question mate. I have the EU version of D1, I tried both of the methods together and I didn't see any change. Maybe I have to try them one by one? First, try the one with the break levers, see if that worked and if not, then try the other one with the throttle?
We have tried 3 methods. 1. Holding right brake, power on, hold 5s, release, power off. 2. holding both brakes 3. holding throttle. Battery has to be charged 100% to be able achieve 30km/h and only on the ideal flat road with back wind. Or rider weight
Well, my white fiido from chinese warehouse goes 30km/h straight out the box. And black one was limited to 25km/h from EU warehouse. I have put a video about the black one before. After trying these methods, black one keeps up with the white 30km/h.
can anyone help me i only got P0 to P4 i dont know which one to use P0 is empty P1 is changing metric to mile or km P2 is calibrating the amount of kmh it registers on the display for troubleshooting (if its displaying the wrong speed) P3 is for some weird “1-1,1-2,1-3” in one area when i click m and when i click m again its still P3 and “2-4,2-5,2-5” and then m again and its stays on P3 but shows “3-7,3-8,3-9” and P4 is just 1 to 0 and it shows me a weird bolt looking icon on the display when i put it to 0 please can someone help out

Towards the end of the video where you do the Fiido d1, why do you say "after testing all THREE methods"? there are two methods, no? I tried both but no result.. 1) do i have to hold it exactly 5 seconds, or can it be 6 or 7 seconds? 2) does it matter which mode the bike is in (pedal, moped, electro)? looking forward to ur response ;))
In my Fiido D1, "throttle method" worked for me and now the bike is able to reach 30kmph for about 10km. Additionally, I noticed that the small battery indicator in the bottom left part of the display does not appear any longer.

May have a bad throttle. A lot of people have a bad habbit when commimg to a stop the let off the throttle quickly and the spring pulles it back and slames on the stopper. The tiny wire somtimes will come dis-sodered

Yes speed setting is eight, it's km go as high as it will go then hold down for 5 power button to confirm then you are set

Hey brothers.. how to lock the fiido speedlimit again after unlock?
I have a niubility b16 now, sadly IT only goes to 22km/u on a 350w motor. Which is kinda limiting and I hope there is a way to unlock IT to 27-30km/u max.

My Fiido D1 was delivered to my house in Germany......but I`m in Spain for the summer so I won`t be able to try this on mine until October!
This doesn't work for Fiido because their controller have "hard" speed limit written on their controller. So this will NOT WORK on D1, D2 or L2, they don't even use the same display / command interface! There are just some Fiido models that come with an unlocked controller that will do ~ 30km when the battery is full and then the speed will decrease to 22-23km/h when the battery is getting lower.

I recently bought LO26 in Canada. I have few observations after riding it for 160 km in total. It may be not relevant to this video but just want to know whether everything is right with my bike or not. If you provide some guidance based on your experience then it would be highly appreciable. (This is my first electric bike)
I have 500W motor option with batter of 48V-10Ah.
I found that top speed is set to 20mph from control. Although when it is fully charged it can reach to maximum speed of 20mph (with my and backpack combined weight of 75 kg). But as battery start discharging it reduce the maximum speed drastically and drops to low as 13.5 mph when 25% battery charged. I also observed battery voltage sagging as it discharge. I made a table as below.

Yep, I noticed the same problem..very nicely described, probably due to maintaining the range reduces the bike speed

As I I am more curious to know as power is a product of voltage and current. But when voltage drops around 51 volt or less bike does not catching beyond 28 kmph, even on flat road where I observed electrical current is consuming 2-3 A. I am thinking there is a window of increasing electrical current to improve the power demand but it seems like instead of increasing the current demand it going proportional to the voltage of battery.

From what I am hearing some have a set pariminiter comtrolers others don't........pull both breaks throttle full while turning on the bike hold everything down for 5 sec. Release all at once. If iit does not work your controler can not be bypassed.

I notice that on the LO26 controller it says rated at 12A so will increasing the power on P14 to 14A cause any problems??
There is no free cake if controller is 12A it wont give more AMPS from display setting.
I been wondering if my mini bike like the fiddo been modified to go faster cuz i hear that bumble bee sound loud n it goes 33.8 kilometers. Is it normal for my battery? Does it mess up my battery? No it does not have one , you will need to buy a 48v battery, and 48v controller. 18-21mph
You can, it is the same hold the brake levers for more than 5 seconds and turn the bike on, then turn it off and on again and voila on a full battery the top speed is closer to 29 kph/18 mph. It's a little bit lower because of the smaller wheels but it has a bit more torque than Fiido D2. The controller could also take a 48V battery (auto-switching) so I plan to put a 12s3p 48Volt battery in it sometime in the future. But for the moment the increased speed and torque works nicely for me.

This information was great. I reset the speed and motor power. However, now the speed display doesn't work correctly. 😭. Any idea how to fix this back to working OK?
If your display head has a Factory Reset option, you might try that. The user manuals state that it resets EVERYTHING back to original settings. Some parameters do seem to be inter-related so by changing one another or more is affected in some way that may be difficult to predict.

You can always set the speed limits using the menu in the display controller (refer to user manual). In EKick scooter, we use the provided android app.
Hey, thanks for the vid. The samebike exists in two versions with different wheels. The one like yours is less expensive and sold as a 250w motor bike. The other one with wheels looking normal, is more expensive and sold as a 500w motor bike.
Are they finally the same bikes (^^ ) with just different wheels ?

Not sure about the bike in the video, but it seems you can get both engines with both types of wheel.

If you can get the size of the tire go smaller if it's a 16-in go to 14 I heard that helps the motor thinks the tire is smaller who knows I haven't tried it yet

One question mate. I have the EU version of D1, I tried both of the methods together and I didn't see any change. Maybe I have to try them one by one? First, try the one with the break levers, see if that worked and if not, then try the other one with the throttle?
We have tried 3 methods.
1. Holding right brake, power on, hold 5s, release, power off.
2. holding both brakes
3. holding throttle.
Battery has to be charged 100% to be able achieve 30km/h and only on the ideal flat road with back wind. Or rider weight

Well, my white fiido from chinese warehouse goes 30km/h straight out the box.
And black one was limited to 25km/h from EU warehouse. I have put a video about the black one before.
After trying these methods, black one keeps up with the white 30km/h.

can anyone help me i only got P0 to P4 i dont know which one to use P0 is empty P1 is changing metric to mile or km P2 is calibrating the amount of kmh it registers on the display for troubleshooting (if its displaying the wrong speed) P3 is for some weird “1-1,1-2,1-3” in one area when i click m and when i click m again its still P3 and “2-4,2-5,2-5” and then m again and its stays on P3 but shows “3-7,3-8,3-9” and P4 is just 1 to 0 and it shows me a weird bolt looking icon on the display when i put it to 0 please can someone help out

In my Fiido D1, "throttle method" worked for me and now the bike is able to reach 30kmph for about 10km.
Additionally, I noticed that the small battery indicator in the bottom left part of the display does not appear any longer.

The Fiido D2 has Three-speed electric assist shifting and Shimano 6-speed mechanical shifting gears.

Hi, I have a fiido d2 for the last 10 months. Last week suddenly the power got cut off and the bike doesn't turn on. Please help, the battery charges fine. Turning the key doesn't show anything on the display
May have a bad throttle. A lot of people have a bad habbit when commimg to a stop the let off the throttle quickly and the spring pulles it back and slames on the stopper. The tiny wire somtimes will come dis-sodered
