      @Blue_eye_devil No way. I watch a ton of these and people have been kept in jail for far less! Far beyond admitting to murder!! Doesnt matter if he "tried to help" or even revived her. Then its just attempted murder which can bring a sentence for 10-25 years. You dont let a suspect go who has admitted to being apart of the crime. What if they let him go and he kills himself or goes after the family next? All these cops would be fired and possibly in jail for negligence. I agree with the cop. Something else is going on here.

      I think the drawing of herself with blood in her neck and mouth says a lot... there's probably more to the story then we know... the kid obviously takes responsibility the police probably see that as the right thing because they think she had something to do with it.. I've been in the kind of relationship with someone with serious mental health issues ironically enough always surfacing during the holidays, like Christmas in this case. In my situation it was only by chance and miracle that no one was hurt, she picked a knife and threatened both herself and myself because of a paranoid delusion and major depression, and what else is hard to understand. So just keep in mind there might be more to the story. I am too still shocked there hasn't been any charges, they have to know something

    • @rationallyruby
      @rationallyruby 6 месяцев назад +5

      @@DoubleTime999 the rule with Miranda is it needs to be read if: a reasonable person would feel detained and or not free to go, and if you’re being asked incriminating questions. There are exceptions to this rule though like I mentioned the spontaneous utterances. If you’ve invoked your right to silence and asked for a lawyer but let’s say while being cuffed and left in the cop car the camera catches you saying an incriminating statement, that can be used against you. Miranda also isn’t usually read when cops do interviews in someone’s home as they’re not “detained.” A lot of time during interviews you’ll hear cops say “you’re free to go at any time.” Or “the door is unlocked you’re not being kept here.” This is a way to insure that Miranda doesn’t need to be read. However most departments read rights even when they don’t really apply in an over abundance of caution just to make sure everything is above board. Hope that helps!

    Something was off with this from the start … Why were they all kept on scene like that locked up in the cars? …They should have all been back at the cop station being processed and questioned asap … the kid was walking evidence and it took 5 hours to get a tech to swab him ?

    Wow.. I am speechless with this.. he pretty much talked about it while sitting in the police vehicle.. he NEVER asked How his GF was doing, Is she alive or dead… until they said he can go home.. then he questioned her health, where is she, will she be ok? Clearly that’s the mark a guilty man.. I’m blown away by this.. those who were involved in this.. the two cops in the box talking to him.. heads should be rolling over this and jobs should be lost and prison time given
    Just another prime example of how our judicial, courts and government systems all failed us with the innocent dead and the guilty walking free..

    The look the woman from forensics gave the detective when he said "We don't know what's going on" was very telling. It's very evident what's going on. The victim's blood is splattered on his shirt and I bet the forensics expert can tell the exact type of splatter and or position he was in while stabbing his gf.
    This is a no brainer. This is the kind of world we are living in where criminals get justice and victims are either dead or scarred for life. The poor mother's cries. They showed a psychopath conpassion over the crying mother, desperate to know if her daughter was okay. They hardly even mention the victim. They were so busy kissing the suspect's ass. Was there even a search for a murder wrapon? This is ridiculous! My heart aches for her and her family and they deserve justice.

    You can just see something dark in his eyes... it gives me chills.... how do some people not have the sixth sense that helps us recognize a threat. Just seeing his first picture and not knowing what he did ever hair on my body stood on end telling me to run far away that this guy was dangerous. The difference in the way they treated him vs her distraught parents is disgusting. And the worst part is they can't charge him again for the crime since they let him go...
