When The Killer Gets Away With Murdering His Girlfriend

- This is Ramon Calderon-Durst and he is realized he is getting away with murdering his girlfriend, Ariana Ptarcinski. His hand and clothes are stained with the blood of Ariana, yet detectives don’t see any issue with releasing Ramon.
The fact that he was so suprised that they were letting him go said it all, talk about a miscarriage of justice
He got away with slicing his girlfriend’s neck in front of her parents .
But I went to jail because I had a parking ticket warrant smh.
What? ...the traffic court judge says she never give anything but fines....what state are you in
Being treated that way?😮
Never heard of such a thing.
Pay your fines
😂
I mean, you don't show up for court you get a bench warrant 🤷♀️
The suspect asked more questions than the police
I expected he was going to ask for the handcuffs back on...because he slit her throat
And they answered more than they did her MOTHER’S questions!
I’m retired law-enforcement from Florida. I worked as a detective and interviewed people who were involved in crimes like this. All I can say is wow. This is not how crimes like this should be handled. Something else is going on here. This is absolutely infuriating to watch.!!
@Blue_eye_devilYou sound beyond delusional. Just being contrarian for the sake of being contrarian. Go play in the corner or something.
@Blue_eye_devil yes they said he tried to help but they didn't say he saved someone's life by intervening. They said the neighbor intervened and possibly saved someone's life when the father and boyfriend were fighting.
@Blue_eye_devil No way. I watch a ton of these and people have been kept in jail for far less! Far beyond admitting to murder!! Doesnt matter if he "tried to help" or even revived her. Then its just attempted murder which can bring a sentence for 10-25 years. You dont let a suspect go who has admitted to being apart of the crime. What if they let him go and he kills himself or goes after the family next? All these cops would be fired and possibly in jail for negligence. I agree with the cop. Something else is going on here.

Thankyou for your service, I know that takes a toll on someone❤
Read about this case from a different channel. This kid's family are major political donors in Florida politics, particularly in the county where this happened. Very powerful people can and do literally get away with murder. This shouldn't be surprising. This case needs FEDERAL oversight immediately.
What channel is this?
Yep I figured as much sick!!
Ok now it all makes perfect sense unfortunately😢
No shocker there. This is a horrible state. Our county sucks.
Ah ok this makes more sense
That cop and detective needs to be investigated for family relationship with the suspect .
He sounds so guilty just in the cop car. Asking which prison he will go to. And I’m wondering do they know his parents? Do they dislike her family? How are they that dumb to let him go? He basically said he did it. I felt like I was watching a scene from the movie Idiocracy.
....my thoughts also, tbh.
They are Cubans and they stick together
👌🏽
You want them investigated for presuming innocence? You don't get to just throw people in jail because you watched a video where some dude spoon fed you guilt.
I've heard the story about this. This guy was basically shouting from the rooftops that he did it. The evidence clearly points to him. It's unbelievable that the police pretty much said "shhh shhh shhh, you poor thing, all the trauma you've been through. Don't talk about that, just go on home." How devastated her family must be.
There was probably a football game all the officers needed to watch.
I think the drawing of herself with blood in her neck and mouth says a lot... there's probably more to the story then we know... the kid obviously takes responsibility the police probably see that as the right thing because they think she had something to do with it.. I've been in the kind of relationship with someone with serious mental health issues ironically enough always surfacing during the holidays, like Christmas in this case. In my situation it was only by chance and miracle that no one was hurt, she picked a knife and threatened both herself and myself because of a paranoid delusion and major depression, and what else is hard to understand. So just keep in mind there might be more to the story. I am too still shocked there hasn't been any charges, they have to know something
@@moosehead4497 yeah because its seemingly so obvious and an easy case to solve....so its not like the cops would be like we dont want to invest time and energy into a case that is difficult to solve or a cold case... he admitted it, pops was there family was there, it is all too obvious for the cops to be like ok u admitted it now go home. there is something else to this case, even with his odd behavior and lack of concern for his gf. there is more to the case because for the amount of time and energy being put into it, it would be NO different than just putting him behind bars and continuing the investigation. he did not get away with murder, there is something else to it. u don't kill someone, admit and then let the guy go. that doesnt happen.

I'm sure this family wishes things went differently but it's terrifying having your unconscious and bleeding, but still alive, child in front of you and not immediately focusing on helping her. Yeah, it'd be nice if this guy wasn't around anymore after what he did but they likely thought if there was anything they could do to save her, that is what they needed to do.
That guy would fuck you up!

I get it, but there’s no proof. His confession, such as it was, came before he was read his rights. While statements made at this point can be admissible, a confession is not. If there is no other evidence, there is no case. It’s sad, but it’s better than the alternative

“The Ptarcinski family is devastated by the news, and they say the decision to close the case is more than a coincidence. They believe investigators were just delaying an announcement because they knew it was "botched," and Sheriff Al Nienhuis needed to protect his political career.”
This has got to be seen
This police department should be held accountable. Mr Durst admitted to what he did and justice needs to be served.
He never was read his rights so I mean any admissions or confessions from what I understood cannot be used .
@@DoubleTime999that has more nuanced than it seems. Statements in the back of the car are considered spontaneous utterances and are able to be used in court. And they definitely read him his rights when he was being questioned they most likely didn’t show it.
@@rationallyruby interesting. And yeah I didn’t see any Miranda rights stated. I always thought that they couldn’t technically use anything before they read them , just like supposedly when they in the rooms being questioned they stress it. What about if you’re on private property still applys with dash cam and or body cam?
@@DoubleTime999 the rule with Miranda is it needs to be read if: a reasonable person would feel detained and or not free to go, and if you’re being asked incriminating questions. There are exceptions to this rule though like I mentioned the spontaneous utterances. If you’ve invoked your right to silence and asked for a lawyer but let’s say while being cuffed and left in the cop car the camera catches you saying an incriminating statement, that can be used against you. Miranda also isn’t usually read when cops do interviews in someone’s home as they’re not “detained.” A lot of time during interviews you’ll hear cops say “you’re free to go at any time.” Or “the door is unlocked you’re not being kept here.” This is a way to insure that Miranda doesn’t need to be read. However most departments read rights even when they don’t really apply in an over abundance of caution just to make sure everything is above board. Hope that helps!
Why do justice when you can just do politics instead?

@shanewarren195 that would be considered a flaw don't you think? The system worked in his favor because he knows people who know people. That in itself is a major flaw.
One would have to do research on how to petition the fbi to pick up the case. Asking on YT ain't gunna get you the answers you're looking for...(obviously)
The FBI doesn't have jurisdiction. The case can be handed over for investigation/joint investigation by the FBI but pretty sure the FBI can't just start investigating state crimes without being invited.

Ramon will most likely murder again seeing that they stroked this narcissist's ego to the point of climax, he will forever believe he is "untouchable". Van Der Sloot to name one of many as an example. Heartbreaking. I sure hope Ramon gets what he's owed, and I hope the young girl's father gets his retribution without having to give up his own life in the process.
lol, he even was like, "what do you mean I'm getting out of here???"
This dude is still out there somewhere 😮
This guy was treated better than a politician
Shit if hes not gonna get charged for clearly killing his girlfriend then why doesn't the father go do the same damn thing to him.. That poor family must be soo heartbroken 💔
The justice system really failed BIG TIME! This case is CLEAR as day!! Why isnt he behind bars??
#Justice4ArianaPtarcinski
On god, if I was the father, I would’ve been enraged.
Something was off with this from the start … Why were they all kept on scene like that locked up in the cars? …They should have all been back at the cop station being processed and questioned asap … the kid was walking evidence and it took 5 hours to get a tech to swab him ?
I’ve never seen or heard of anything like this in my life 🤬🤬🤬
Wow.. I am speechless with this.. he pretty much talked about it while sitting in the police vehicle.. he NEVER asked How his GF was doing, Is she alive or dead… until they said he can go home.. then he questioned her health, where is she, will she be ok? Clearly that’s the mark a guilty man.. I’m blown away by this.. those who were involved in this.. the two cops in the box talking to him.. heads should be rolling over this and jobs should be lost and prison time given
Just another prime example of how our judicial, courts and government systems all failed us with the innocent dead and the guilty walking free..
How TF did this happen?? How did this kid get away with this??? Are her parents not trying to get him charged???
Thats not a kid, thats a grown man who acts like one.
If you watch to the end you see that the parents are campaigning for justice.
Thanks for the spoiler RUclips. @thevillians. Your story was ruined by this post flashing in rolling comment section. Not your fault but it ruins it for us.
@@damned1313 The spoiler is in the title dude.
In a modern society, we require proof. Watching a video where some dude screams that every action the suspect did proves he's guilty is not proof.
At 35:05 the cop gave it away. He said “They’re helping us at the crime scene”. Then he clears his throat after realizing what he just said.
They didn't even want to question him? 🤯
As someone who was stabbed by an ex this p*sses me off...I survived being stabbed 21x...this poor girl...she was so young...
December of 2011?
I CANNOT BELIEVE!!! The entire department/team should be shut DOWN!! He’s confused as to why he’s not in trouble!! Wow! Wow! Wow!
This is how backwards the justice system really is😢
wtf!! They can’t prove this??? He asked what prison he’d go to???
There’s no way this happened where I live, like EXACTLY where I live too.
You should absolutely call this department to redress them and express grievances as a local citizen.
Spread the word and vote. The decision not to prosecute was made by elected officials. They just don’t fear their mouth breathing constituents, only their deep pocketed donors.
You must be new here or just never paid attention or just just a boomer n keep all your faith in police n government
The look the woman from forensics gave the detective when he said "We don't know what's going on" was very telling. It's very evident what's going on. The victim's blood is splattered on his shirt and I bet the forensics expert can tell the exact type of splatter and or position he was in while stabbing his gf.
This is a no brainer. This is the kind of world we are living in where criminals get justice and victims are either dead or scarred for life. The poor mother's cries. They showed a psychopath conpassion over the crying mother, desperate to know if her daughter was okay. They hardly even mention the victim. They were so busy kissing the suspect's ass. Was there even a search for a murder wrapon? This is ridiculous! My heart aches for her and her family and they deserve justice.
As soon as he said I'm free to go. I would've gotten up. And hauled ass.
It's pretty apparent in America that the government is giving preferential treatment to the criminals now. Almost aiding and abetting them to facilitate job security and bigger budgets.
America has more criminals locked up than communist china. It blows my mind they just let murderers go
“w-what?” even he was surprised 😭
They seriously sent this dude home to hurt the next person wow
And to treat the parents that way that whole dept. Needs removed
To this day, Sheriff Al Nienhuis has not met with the family to share his condolences, as he normally does with a homicide victim's family, especially ones that are domestic-related.
Durst family dollars at work.
You can just see something dark in his eyes... it gives me chills.... how do some people not have the sixth sense that helps us recognize a threat. Just seeing his first picture and not knowing what he did ever hair on my body stood on end telling me to run far away that this guy was dangerous. The difference in the way they treated him vs her distraught parents is disgusting. And the worst part is they can't charge him again for the crime since they let him go...
Her father should have handled this before the police got there.
Sadly he would've been put in jail for life.
That prick shouldn't have even been in that bedroom with her. Dumb
Probably wanted to get ems in route asap for his daughter.
@@L4O2V0Enot these detectives on the job
They were fighting when police arrived.
i can't watch stuff like this.. pretty aggravating. can't even imagine what the dad is going through.. just scumbags. Corruption is a real thing, and when the people on the very top have been openly engaging in it, you can even imagine what the underlings are up to.
Did they forget to check their notes and watch the video of him in the back of the cruiser?!? That is absolutely sickening. I would bet he has family, either in the police or in some kind of political office.
This is one of the strangest interactions I’ve ever seen.
Surreal- leaving this threat to a community.
The look in his eyes in the first pic told me everything I need to know.
No it didn't. That's just a made up thing. You can't see personality traits in people's eyes.
@Unit_450 Yeah but that's the rest of his face. His eyes have nothing to do with it. If he was elated and well-adjisted his eyes would look exactly the same. On a side note, you can't tell if someone's lying by looking at their eyes either. Pet peeve of mine.
@@bargaintuesday812 okay. Let's just say that if I saw him, his eyes would give me pause for concern. You can disagree but you can't deny my opinion.
@@sallysson It wouldn't, though. The eyes don't change like that. They're static. You're thinking about the rest of his face. That's what would make you think that.
@@ItsMeBarnaby That's not how the human eye works, my man. You can tell if someone's high, that's about it. But you can't see something like evil in someone's eyes. It doesn't work that way.
I don't understand???? Why was he not interviewed? Why is he free? It makes NO SENSE!
II know! was interrogated more harshly for a speeding ticket.
Man her poor family!! I can’t even imagine. This is absolutely heartbreaking!!
Imagine being so far removed from basic humanity that you treat a cold blooded killer like a special guest
I wish you had explained why he is still a free civilian.
Why wasnt he at least questioned?
Did the parent accuse him?
I'm very lost. Does anyone know a good source for infomation in this case?
what a shame. You can always see the evil and emptiness in their eyes
That's what I was thinking. He is the most annoying, narcissistic psychopath and the police just seem to adore him.
