Hi, thank you for taking the time to watchband comment, I pretty much now make silent videos or I do a separate narration over the top as I'm quite self conscious, so its nice to get some positive feedback thank you! Atb G🐾
@@bravogolfoscar its a shame you feel so self conscious! Probably some of the best prepper narration Ive seen. Simple to understand and concise. You should deffo do some of your videos in this format in my opinion :)

Nice setup and camo work. The only additional I would do with the site setup is I would have initially set it up within the fern bed instead of on that brown ground contrast. Enjoyed the video. Tks
Cracking video my friend, have just come across your channel, and subbed, like your style, a very informative video on stealth camping, I used to prefer this type of setup each and every time, due to health I tend to hammock camp now, but with the current clamp down on wildcamping in certain places, think I'll be getting back into it, alot of videos who pertain to be stealth camping don't touch on alot of the points you covered, so will certainly be recommending your videos, looking forward to catching up on your other videos, good health and safe travels my friend, cheers craig
Hey Ian, yes you are correct, if I was staying for more than one night then yes setting up in a patch of ferns would be better. Thanks for watching Atb G🐾
Hi I know this was filmed a few years ago. But I would like to make a comment. Firstly loved the video lots to learn about stealth camping. Secondly I have to say really good camouflage. Finally the only thing I'm not in %100 percent agreement with is the time you say to go do it? I agree about the avoiding dog walkers like the plague, that is for sure. However weekdays during general work hours I'm not so sure about? I guess it depends where you are camping. If you were to camp in a timber plantation such as Pine etc, you would be best to stealth camp around finishing time of work day for set up, even thou you might come across dog walkers. Either way a set up during work hours would result in no difference to a set up during peak hours such as late afternoon. I would imagine just before the end of work day such as 4 pm would be best as most people have their mind on getting home and whats for dinner? Rather than looking for someone stealth camping in the woods. That is my thought about that?
Hi, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I'm in 100% agreement with me, the area you're going to camp in will dictate the best time to go... Usually a rough rule of thumb would be to set up at dusk and leave at dawn minimising the amount of time you are there and using the cover of darkness. Thanks again, Atb G🐾
Hi Harry, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, I'm assuming from you channel page youre up in Scotland? I'm off hopefully to Ben Nevis to film in November 🤞 Atb G🐾
Really nice video mate. They just keep getting better! Naive question: what happens when it rains with bash setup? Can water run in over your groundsheet? if so, how do you avoid it?
Hi Mike! Thanks for the message and the great question. The great thing about setting up like this is that should it rain you can quickly alter the shelter by lowering or raising the bungees to tilt the shelter down to one corner allowing most of the rain to run off one side. Should it be a severe downpour then adjusting the shelter to make it really low will help stop what I would call sideways rain.
Hi Ken, you would be surprised how useful it is. I've taken short strolls from my bivvy site at night and once you change diretion a couple of times you can lose all your bearings and that 📌 helps you out. Im also Epileptic so its a great comfort to my wife. Thanks for watching the vid!
Hi James, firstly thanks for taking the time to watch and also comment its much appreciated. In answer to your question it can sometimes prove difficult finding a good location. I would approach this with your lad by getting a good OS Map of the surrounding areas and looking for areas of woodland that way you can also introduce a bit of nav tutoring as well. Then once you've located a few sites do some day trips out just to recce those areas. Once you've picked a site that you think is suitable (public woodland is best) then the best way in my experience is to insert yourself at dusk and leave at dawn. As far as kit goes being an infantryman I'm sure you don't need any help there. If you're going to use a Basha then possibly double them up one next to each other so the lad doesn't feel like he's on his own. Hope this helps, please let me know how you get on AtbG🐾
