Your patio looks so nice and festive! Love the flag you made. The recipes too! That cookie looks delicious and the salad so nice and fresh. I’m gonna try those for sure. We really like a salad with cucumber, tomato and red onion topped with Italian dressing. Some people add cilantro and feta cheese to it. It’s really good this time of year with fresh vegetables.

We are actually going to Michigan for the 4th. Good friends of ours has a family lake house right on the lake and invited us for a long weekend. My hubby and I, son and DIL and 6 year old granddaughter. Should be a nice, relaxing time!! Hope your 4th is fun Monica!!

Wow! Everything looks so beautiful. I love how you decorated everything. I'm definitely going to try those recipes. We make a red, white and blue trifle almost every year. This year we're going to my brother's house so I don't know what dessert will be. I want to make the salad and the cookie dessert. Everything looks really yummy. I'm not much on extreme sweetness. I am going to check out the Marshall’s we have in the city next to ours.... love the standing basket and the flag cake stand. So cute. I have not been to our Marshall’s in quite some time ....pre-pandemic ....so who knows what I will find. Loved the DIY flag! So cute! Great video. Maybe you can rethink the fireworks. There are some Veterans with PTSD that are terrified by the sound of fireworks and of course dogs are so scared. Please don’t do it.
.... Debra, I understand your concerns.... However I think there's a fine line betweenbeing considerate and still being able to enjoy things that this country has always enjoyed and that seems to be the biggest issue of the day everyone is trying to change our nation and take away things that this nation has always stood for and always enjoyed.
Real PTSD is indeed something to consider, but it has become " a catch all" for everything that is wrong with
individuals, and I'm not trying to be cruel. ( REAL PTSD is something that exists, but now, PTSD is everywhere. Think on that. )
I recommend for humans and pets Rescue Remedy by Dr. Bach, you can dilute it down for your pets depending on their weight and it's safe I've used it for many many years I used to give it to my horses, it's an anti anxiety reliever and it works. Do not buy the Rescue Remedy made for pets, it's not the same. Fireworks ,etc... are things that is fun, that a lot of people look forward to ..and I think this Nation needs to stop denying our personal freedom rights because that's what's happening.... everybody wants to change everything and take this great Nation from what it was to something else.
Just my thoughts and opinions.

Edit :. I am glad to know that that beautiful Furrbaby of yours is not bothered by the fireworks ...most German Shepherds / Belgian Shepherds, are not bothered by that, as a general thing.
