If he's at his best and if Soumillon rides a smart tactical race, I think it'll take a lot to beat Orfevre, but I don't necessarily think he's unbeatable if that makes any sense at all to you? I also think the 3yr.old's will run big races this year, too. I agree that Saonois is likely to run a big race. Another 3YO I like who's kind of flying under the radar right now but is very progressive is Andre Fabre's colt, Masterstroke. Fabre's a master at getting 3YO like him to run big in the Arc.
shareta seems in good order for the arc but look at the 4th Yellow and Green how she finishes and that was just a return run from a break of 3 months i backed her at 200/1 with betfair to win the arc and 25/1 to be placed i think she must stand a each way chance in the arc but the winner for me is SAONOIS i backed this one already in July at 40/1 for the arc, i think SAONOIS will win the ARC 2012
No matter if you're on Orfevre or one of the other older males. No matter if you're on one of the talented 3YO. No matter if you're on the filly Danedream to repeat in the Arc. Whoever you're backing in the race, I don't think you can just summarily dismiss Shareta's chances of running another big Arc again this year. She fought back on ground at York she wasn't ideally suited to pass the Epsom Oaks and Nassau Stakes winner and win the Yorkshire Oaks, and then was much the best in the Vermeille.
