I didn't think I could get pregnant either, so I mentally and planned my life without kids. Sometimes I am still amazed that there are 2 kids screaming in my house.
When the nausea starts to subside time fliiiiiiies through the second trimester!! Once you’re at the end of the third trimester it feels like it takes a whole 9 months to get through just that! My OB told me at the end of my first pregnancy, “Once you’re convinced that you’re going to be pregnant forever, then the baby will come.” 😂
Omg, my first baby was 17 days overdue before they finally decided to do a c-section. I swear once you hit that due date and are just waiting on the baby to make an appearance, time slows all the way down to the point it's almost going backwards 😂 Being huge and uncomfortable definitely doesn't help.
So sorry about your uncle.😢 when I was in the hospital after having my daughter. I decided first name Heather. The nurse came in, asked me what her middle name was. I could not decide middle name. The nurse mentioned Michelle. I told her sounds good to me❤ Heather Michelle is now 31 years.
Smart. The beauty of not telling the name is that people don't feel so free to share their opinions once she's already been named. I wish I'd known this. Glad you're feeling better.
Right before delivery date when baby gets in the right postion, be ready to have a foot in the lung. Also smaller people tent to get huge ( coming from someone who is small). My first 2 babys I was so huge but my last was a premi so I didn't get as big and I was also dealing with crohn's at the time.
Sorry about your uncle's sudden passing. Hugs, Maggie. That wreath is beautiful. 💕 New life growing inside is such a miracle. Love your positive attitude . Blessings on this pregnancy journey.
I’m so sorry to hear about your uncle. My experience isn’t rectum related but uterus related. I had a hysterectomy back in February. It hasn’t been quite a year and I occasionally feel like my period is going to start even though the organ isn’t there. It’s a very odd feeling.
I look forward to your posts so much! I was past having babies when I finally gave in to giving up my non working colon. I am so invested in seeing you become a mom!!!
Deepest condolences on the loss of your uncle. When you are trying to keep your scar hydrated.. something i used during my cancer radiation was coconut oil.. it hydrated like nothing else did!! I used the solid coconut oil in the cooking oil section at the store. It goes on solid and liquefies fast and was easy to keep skin hydrated! Just a thought!
So fun so hear about baby moving. Sorry about your Uncle. ❤️ Aw thats rough about the butt pain, that looks really uncomfortable. I had a full body pregnancy pillow and it's nice during the pregnancy, needed by the end!! 😄 You get so uncomfortable it's so nice to have, even if only for your last week of pregnancy. Comfort is gold! 😊
As if you don’t have enough challenges each day, the phantom rectum pains are so unfair. I am praying that you will progress through this pregnancy with gentle changes that don’t overtax your body. The pregnancy is going to take its toll , but you are so brave and amazing when dealing with what is yours to manage, you will come out triumphant. The reward for all this will be your daughter. In the meantime no one does “ one day at a time” better than you. Bravo!
I had a hysterectomy last year and the rectal pain that I experienced postop was the worst pain I have ever experienced. Everyone was shocked and didn’t understand why I would be having that kind of pain. I literally feel your pain.
It is such a joy to see the excitement and happiness on your face! I agree with you about the name. It’s important to keep something to yourselves that you don’t share with others. You really do need to see her face to see if the name fits her before committing to it!
Maggie get some coco butter for your tummy and some Vicks inhaler sticks for the scent induced nausea. And GET THE 10 FT LONG "U" shaped pillow. I'm telling you , your tummy is gonna get way way bigger and the baby will kick hard It's not always a pleasant feeling. You will have to sleep in odd positions to get comfortable here soon. You definitely want the pregnancy long tube 'U' shaped pillow. Mine was 12ft and it was a game changer. Your nose will swell a bit (probably) and your body is gonna change a lot here in the next 4-6 weeks. So excited for you. ❤. God Bless this beautiful little surprise !
Thank you for sharing your health issues, like phantom rectum syndrom, something of which I have never heard. That baby is going to kick a bunch more, and you'll miss that once she is born.
When I was pregnant (many years ago) with my first child, when he was in utero, he would sometimes kick down. It felt as if he was going to push his way through my pelvic floor. This seemed to happen most when I was sitting in a dining room chair playing pinochle with friends. Came as a huge and sudden surprise and IT HURT!!! I would have to elevate off the chair. Changing positions, standing up helped.
Condolences on your Uncle’s passing. I don’t have a baby in my belly but I do get the phantom rectum pain and sensation. Sometimes it’s terrible, I feel you there!
9:45 I’ve often heard that pregnancy can be a pain in the A$$, but it sounds like it’s literal in your case! I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. I’m giddy with joy that you are pregnant!
I’m so sorry for the loss of your uncle. I’ve never had human kids, just furbabies so I’m enjoying this with you. I admire how open and honest you are about IBD. A couple of doctors diagnosed me with IBD constipation. One med was horrible diarrhea everywhere. So I just grin and bear it. So happy for your pregnancy.
If you are planning on possibly breast-feeding or even pumping, you could purchase a few maternity breast-feeding tops to wear now. The styles don’t look maternity-ish and you can definitely wear them comfortably postpartum. They will give you access and whatever expansions you have in pregnancy will accommodate that. Some women just have their belly pop out and are skinny and all the other areas and other women just see seem to get big all over and it just has to do with how your heart and kidneys deal and your electrolytes and all the things it’s not about being fat or anything that the woman has done wrong unless you’re eating donuts 24/7 or some high carb habit. If your appetite gets bigger it’s because the baby wants more nutrition and I hope you can find high nutrient foods in the amounts that you can tolerate. This is the time to really focus on nourishing your sweet baby and I think you’re doing a great job of taking care of yourself and I will pray for you about your pain.
Love the wreath! As an amputee, using the term "phantom" to describe your rectum is totally valid and helps explain what you are feeling! Hope baby doesn't kick too hard, let's hope it's just a little dance, so you can feel her, but without all the discomfort! Sending all my live and best wishes, as always! 💜💫
So sorry to hear of your Uncles sudden passing. You have that pregnancy glow and I’m so excited to get to experience this with you through your videos. My kids are grown now but I still remember my first pregnancy and my husband making hamburgers for dinner. As he was prepping the meat with seasonings etc I was telling him how excited I was for hamburgers and then while he was cooking them the smell of the grease in the air made me throw up and I couldn’t eat hamburgers until after I had my son. Lol it’s crazy!!! Sending hugs
Maggie I didn't realize that canned as well! Have you heard of Canuary?? Lisa Sutton of Sutton Daze hosts it along with other canners (people). Lisa will be putting up vlogs in December giving everyone all the information and who will be going over different canning recipes. Canuary is when I can my meats, soups and vegetables that I have in the freezers.
I still have my rectal stump, so not phantom rectum, but I still deal with a lot of tenesmus and such. I've had my ileostomy for 5 years exactly and even when I've gotten to a really good place with meds, I need to "go to the bathroom" to get mucus out at least once a day. About 8 weeks ago I switched my birth control (from progestin-only to combination) and I have no idea why but now I don't go at all. At first it was nice, but now the pressure/tenesmus down there is awful. I don't know if it's the estrogen, or that my adenomyosis is active again now, but it's been a trip.
I love how excited you are. You are the cutest thing ever. I can't wait for everything that's going to happen to you. Just enjoy, it's such a wonderful time in your life.
Hi guys! I hate to tell you it goes faster as she’s born and hitting milestones. My last baby was 10 years after my second. I had severe rectal pain during labor. It wasn’t in my back or front just rectally. It was painful. I don’t know why it was like that but it wasn’t for my first two. I now have nerve damage in that area. Good luck and congratulations!!!!
Condolences to you and your family with the loss of your uncle. You need some guidance to shift, roll and lift to get out of those spots. As the area becomes tighter, it gets more challenging. Hopefully she doesn't try to stand up, but expect. You don't have a long waist so it makes sense she is pushing outward. Be thankful you aren't carrying more in the back. It's a different challenge. You look great
Very sorry about your Uncle.❤ I love the wreaths you made! I've been wanting to try and make an orange slice one, are they reusable for the next year? You look great!!
I'm so sorry about your uncle. My condolences to you and your family. I always look forward to your vlogs about how you are doing. It's nice to see something good happening to you. Happy Thanksgiving, as well.
Six to eight inches is when she's stretched out, as she's in the 'foetal position' . I know you know this, but when you're in the midst of it and start looking at pictures and reading about how big she is and that stuff, your brain kinda forgets that for a while and all you can think about is, 'OMG! How is she fitting in there if she's !! I'm loving coming on this journey with you and am so excited for you both. xx
Good way to encourage movement is to get on all fours then lower your front half down on your elbows so your butt is essentially in the air. It was the only position that helped my babies move to better positions
So sorry for your loss. May you always remember all the good times. I'm so happy the nausea has finally subsided. And I hope the rectum twinges are few and far between. I have that once in awhile and it's just so odd. I really wonder what's going on in there to cause that. Anyways, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and eat lots of delicious foods! 💜
There is something mysterious about being pregnant and feeling HOT. It's like our thermostats gone wacko. I really hated the heat. Felt like I was walking underwater. Of course my two daughters were born, in Biloxi, Miss. in AUGUST. the second daughter in HONOLULU.....the Biloxi was so much worse due to the humidity. Anyway good for you to press on cheerfully as you usually are. Yes, indeed, those odors trigger.......well......Condolences to your family on the uncle passing. It's tough!
I used a dehydrator to dry the slices and then used a glue gun to glue it to the frame! I actually made the wreath frame as well by taking pliable sticks from outside, bending them into a circle and joining with floral wire. The dollar store also carries wreath forms cheap!
Sorry about the phantom butt issues..but the sweater you’re wearing at the sewing machine is great! Care to share the brand? Congratulations again on your little miss to be☃️😊

Maggie .. you are a fantastic sales rep. We are impressed 😊😊😊

My OB told me at the end of my first pregnancy, “Once you’re convinced that you’re going to be pregnant forever, then the baby will come.” 😂
I agree--and then later found it was exactly the same thing, wondering if I'd ever finally get to menopause!!
Omg, my first baby was 17 days overdue before they finally decided to do a c-section. I swear once you hit that due date and are just waiting on the baby to make an appearance, time slows all the way down to the point it's almost going backwards 😂 Being huge and uncomfortable definitely doesn't help.
Condolences for the passing of your Uncle. So glad your nausea has decreased. Odors can really trigger nausea! Take care. ❤
So sorry about your uncle.😢 when I was in the hospital after having my daughter. I decided first name Heather. The nurse came in, asked me what her middle name was. I could not decide middle name. The nurse mentioned Michelle. I told her sounds good to me❤ Heather Michelle
is now 31 years.
I think it is wise to keep her name a secret.
People can be too critical of names.
Condolences on your loss.
Smart. The beauty of not telling the name is that people don't feel so free to share their opinions once she's already been named. I wish I'd known this. Glad you're feeling better.
Sorry about your uncle passing. You are looking wonderful!❤
My deepest condolences Maggie on losing your Uncle. May he always be a special memory in your heart.🩷💙💐
15w4d today and I’ve been having more phantom rectum pain too! Its like a daily occurrence for me now 😅
Ouch. That sound rough. I hope it improves
I am so sorry for your loss . Hugs to you and your loved ones. ❤
Right before delivery date when baby gets in the right postion, be ready to have a foot in the lung. Also smaller people tent to get huge ( coming from someone who is small). You & Zac will be the BEST PARENTS!! Please show us the baby room.❤from Montreal
The 2nd trimester is such a gift. Your bump is so cute!
Love the wreaths! You always make me smile with your anecdotes- the toilet incident! X
Sorry about your uncle's sudden passing. Hugs, Maggie. That wreath is beautiful. 💕 New life growing inside is such a miracle. Love your positive attitude . Blessings on this pregnancy journey.
Getting exciting Maggie. Thanks for taking us along.

Fluttering is baby moving. Your body changes alot in the last two months.
Baby is doing well. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love when we have to wait for a baby’s name. ❤ it’s so much more exciting.
so glad you are feeling well!
My condolences on the passing of your uncle!! I'm happy you are less sick now!!
I would recommend finding an advanced pregnancy massage therapist who is certified in the Kate Jordan certification.
Maggie get some coco butter for your tummy and some Vicks inhaler sticks for the scent induced nausea.
And GET THE 10 FT LONG "U" shaped pillow. I'm telling you , your tummy is gonna get way way bigger and the baby will kick hard

Your hair looks like it’s so much thicker 😍😍😍😍😍😍
So happy to watch your blog. Always a pleasure!!
I love ELMT! I use the salted caramel and chocolate in my coffee. I don't feel as guilty when I have a few mugs per day. Yummy
Yes the odor thing! Every pregnancy (3). Food adversions & cravings.
9:45 I’ve often heard that pregnancy can be a pain in the A$$, but it sounds like it’s literal in your case! I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. I’m giddy with joy that you are pregnant!

Awesome news on the morning sickness
Maggie, could you tell me what meds your taking during pregnancy to control your crohn's? Much love alway's ❤!
Right now I am not on any medications for Crohn's
Sorry for the loss of your Uncle. ❤, keeping you all in our prayers.
Sorry for your loss

I have my rectal stump too, post ostomy. It has been getting inflamed lately when I am on my feet too long. Not a good feeling.
Condolences for your Uncle.
Really great to see all your doggies ❤

I've heard that they are - just make sure they're fully dry and nothing gets to them over the year:) I'm hoping mine lasts!
I'm so sorry about your uncle. My condolences to you and your family.
I always look forward to your vlogs about how you are doing. It's nice to see something good happening to you. Happy Thanksgiving, as well.
I want to send my deepest condolences on the lost of your uncle please know that everyone is thinking of you and your family
Congratulations!!!! So happy for you both!!
Love your wreaths. You’re very talented.
You look amazing and so happy. Time will zip on by. So happy for you and Zach. Loved your phantom rectum
clip.. your laugh is infectious.
I’m so excited to be a part of your pregnancy journey. I look eagerly for your videos. ❤
Sorry to hear about your uncle, but you look wonderful
Thanks for sharing and Happy Thanksgiving 😊🦃🍁
Still so happy for you 😘
So sorry for your loss❤
My sympathies to you and your family for the loss of your uncle.
The good news is you won't get hemorrhoids.
Completely agree!!!
I still have mine since 1990....ugh!
I would use some kind of body tape on the midline scar to keep it from stretching too much. I wonder what other people have done.
You look so wonderful and happy! So happy for you both! Continued prayers!
I’m really sorry about your uncle passing.
Six to eight inches is when she's stretched out, as she's in the 'foetal position' . That big pregnancy pillow helps to keep you on your side which will be important later on in the pregnancy
The little one I am looking at is supposed to do the same thing!
I love snow too.
Good way to encourage movement is to get on all fours then lower your front half down on your elbows so your butt is essentially in the air. It was the only position that helped my babies move to better positions

Texas just started really cooling down this week. Now we just need rain XD
Happy 16th week from an almost 24 wk mama! You're doing great!
It's tough!
So sorry about your uncle 😢.
So awesome 👏 Keep doing what your doing!🫶🏻🙌🏼🙏🏼💗✨
i love the orange slice ring! how did you do it? just... glue? :D i have no idea!!
I used a dehydrator to dry the slices and then used a glue gun to glue it to the frame! I actually made the wreath frame as well by taking pliable sticks from outside, bending them into a circle and joining with floral wire. The dollar store also carries wreath forms cheap!
Sorry to hear of your uncles passing😢
My mom had me rub cocoa butter on my belly. I didn’t get any stretch marks.
Hi, Mommy to be. Try mother's friend to help prevent stretch marks. You can buy it almost anywhere.
Sorry about the phantom butt issues..but the sweater you’re wearing at the sewing machine is great! Care to share the brand? Congratulations again on your little miss to be☃️😊
Sure! It was from Aerie and I got it last year!
