I’m lowkey mad at the audience for not being more enthusiastic lmao like you’re witnessing two beautiful talented women who are both dancing to some of the best music and they’re both doing a great job. How can you not be pumped??
In my humble estimation, Madoki won the first two rounds, Yoshie, the third. But really, what does it matter. They are both great dancers! As Bartok said, "competition is for horses, not artists". We don't need to fight about who is better. They are both wonderful, and deserve kudos. It's simply a pleasure to watch them--and I'd personally live in a world with more talent rather than less ;)
I think competition is for humans, not for horses (or any other animal). In fact, when humans train animals for competition, they are really competing between themselves and the animal is the equivalent of a "car", to put an example. Humans use competition so they can evolve and improve. Competition can be with oneself or with others and is not obligatory. Is a tool that can be used for everyone and is a great tool. They are so great dancer in part thanks to competition.
Im 7years late ... but what kind of dumbfuck are you to think that competition arent for humans? Literally horses competition were made by humans, wild horse wouldn't compete at running.
I think the issue with Yoshi is not only connectivity to music, but she never really stops moving. Princess really knows how to work the songs and dance in the pause,if that makes sense. It’s like in music how it’s important for musicians to play the rests and treat it like playing.
Yoshie’s movements seemed like just a shuffle of heavily rehearsed dance moves that didn’t relate to the music at all, but Princess really embodied the spirit and told the story of every song. It takes more than being a good dancer to win this kind of thing, it also requires being able to embody the music in that way.
Yoshie had *amazing* moves and footwork, but Princess Madoki really told a story that felt true to the song she was performing. All that soul and emotion she put into her routine really paid off.
the thing about yoshie's dance is that it can be done to almost any music. it doesn't necessarily relate to this specific song. it's like she's dancing through the music and not relating to it as much as madoki.
iwasborntobefly Excellent point. I felt as if I was watching a lot of technique and no real feeling. She connects for split milliseconds here and there whereas Princess Madoki is just fluid and works all of the floor.
I think Yoshi has more of a dominant Locking style anyway that doesn't really fit with Waacking, hence the shoes. Princess Madoki completely understands the whole concept of Waacking, Punking and Posing to it's very core and that directly relates through the music. A very acute observation, one I fully agree with. If you want to see some great Japanese Waackers look up Yumeki and Ibuki, by far two of the best up and coming generation.
sometimes its not the techniek only but the feeling most imprtant!!!damn i can see it comes from madoki her bones true soul!!! i miss that in people now a days!!!
I have absolutely no clue what waacking is but seeing them dance feels like more than just that- they are FEELING IT and bringing the house down! For a performance it’s so joyful
disculpen alguien me podria decir en que consiste el baile? no lo conozco y tampoco lo entiendo, como se sabe que uno es mejor que otro, es decir que tipo de destreza tengo que apreciar mas? disculpen mi ignorancia, gracias
They were both great but Princess was more fluid, used the beat to her advantage, & her moves seemed to be focused on the audience, enticing them to return energy to her more!! Both RADICAL dancers!!
If you can't dance like them, stop judging ppl! Yoshie is a soul dancer, her body isolation are better then a lot ppl. Madoki has his own character.that is not easy to dance with a own character.
The person at 6:04 wagging their finger, I couldn't be sure if tehy were being rude or not but they did it again later to yoshie when she wasn't even near that person. Literally soured my mood how rude that person was being. Personally I think Yoshie moved a lot but Princess Madoki posed too much and reverted to her opening moves so often it was way too noticeable for me. I think they both were supposed to meet in the middle of stopping and posing. I would've chose Yoshie though.
Heehee, I see how you might take it that way, but it's actually a sign that they're enjoying it so much that they have to wave something at her 😆. It's a "go on girl" kinda thing.
I’m lowkey mad at the audience for not being more enthusiastic lmao like you’re witnessing two beautiful talented women who are both dancing to some of the best music and they’re both doing a great job. How can you not be pumped??
@@gelleg I guess you have a point
Agree
sometimes people are so amazed by someone dancing that they don’t make a noise trust me it happens
I mean the audience tbh isn’t as diverse looking as the usual dance off audience lol
Madoki could be a super model with these poses, she is so elegant!
Some people forget that waacking is not JUST about the hands. It's about feeling yourself.
Waacking has to be my favorite. The clothes, the hair, and you can see on their faces how much fun they are having.
I absolutely LIVE for yoshi's look
yoshie! Yoshi = boy , yoshie = girl in Japanese
The songs are:
Feed the Flame by Lorraine Johnson
I've got a Thing by Silver, Platinum and Gold
Beyond The Clouds by Quartz
Thank you!
thankssss
Erik Numi thank you
Erik Numi Thank you so much
Jesus Christ thank you

@@wellps812 you don’t need to take it that personally, it is only a way of speaking
You guys it's just a saying. It's not meant to be taken literally

Really great outfits for these two.
I agree! Both had great dance moves as well!
Yoshie had *amazing* moves and footwork, but Princess Madoki really told a story that felt true to the song she was performing. All that soul and emotion she put into her routine really paid off.
She knew when to dance and when to STOP and just get all eyes on her. A real master of her craft
It’s called “sauce”. Black sauce. Can’t buy it….
the thing about yoshie's dance is that it can be done to almost any music. it doesn't necessarily relate to this specific song. it's like she's dancing through the music and not relating to it as much as madoki.
Great perspective, I agree.
indeed!

If you watch Yoshi in the final round it's more like watching a Northern Soul dancer, where as Princess Madoki's Posing is absolutely on point.
People look like lifeless Zombies in there. Nobody is rocking to the music. How could they not? This music is hot, especially the first track.
djkal2002 what do you mean? Did you not see the second girl? She was into it lmao
Imjustapancake he’s talking about the crowd
No one dances at dance competitions except the Dancers... It's called respect.
I know!!! The first one is fire!!!!!!
Yoshie's jacket removal was probably the Slickest thing I've ever seen.
#hellard
After watching this, I am ready to fuse with Garnet.
Get in the back of the line than
SAMEEEE
yoroshiku lol
xDDDD
yoshie's outfit is so cute omg
they both did really good jobs and look like they're having fun but princess madoki took it home
this is so cute. I've never seen this style of dance before. they both did a wonderful job.
Superb music and utterly gorgeous, elegant, highly skilled dancers.
They're both amazing. I don't know how the judges could choose just one!
They have certain criteria they're looking for
Princess Madoki is legendary. What a performance, superb
Anybody else here waiting for them to just summon star-studded gauntlets out of thin air?
?
I was referencing Garnet.
Oh I just didn't get gauntlets
Yes!
hell to the yes!
Madoki was instant gratification, but Yoshie left a long-lasting spell on you. Awesome ladies.
I love how Princess Madoki moves... it's so fluid she seems to be skating on ice. But Yoshie had that one awesome set of moves D:
I adore both of these dancers..They're amazing.
Someone needs to animate Garnet doing the dances
So true!
These videos give me life
Yoshie looking like a JoJo character is all I live for at this point.
Honestly, how can you even judge both of them, they both were so amazing and different! I’m still waiting to see their fusion.
Come thru, African Queen.

Yoshie's always been the QUEEN, but it was also a great discovery to find Princess Madoki in the scene. She displayes a great attitude.
Two totally individually talented styles of dancing! I was very impressed!
I wonder what a Princess Madoki and Yoshie fusion would look like.

OMG I love this. Im just starting Waacking.
oh my GOOODDDDD both of them look SOOO DAMN GOOOD GOD DAMN THIS IS EVERYTHING
I would have given this one to Yoshie. Her style is so unique and her moves were daaaaaaaaaaamn good.
It’s about soul. Not just moves.
@ it’s about soul and moves and style and energy and tecnique and a combination of so many things that make a dancer a good dancer.
@ soul and sauce and is the major thing… and it can’t be taught
@@humansparkler bro it's been 10 years, they don't even remember that battle anymore rs
@@smigoll2 huh?
I’m really living yoshi’s dance, hair, choice of clothing.. basically everything lol

How... how the fuck did so many people find a dance battle because of watching a cartoon? I don't understand XDDD
WHAT IS THIS REFERRING TO SOMEONE HELP
Great style, great dance! They're really into it, and that makes a great show!!
So this is what Garnet does in her spare time. Brilliant technique
Yoshie took it in my opinion. But Princess Madoki did have some nice musicality.
Yoshie Won . I dont know whats wrong with the judges on this battle .
disculpen alguien me podria decir en que consiste el baile? no lo conozco y tampoco lo entiendo, como se sabe que uno es mejor que otro, es decir que tipo de destreza tengo que apreciar mas? disculpen mi ignorancia, gracias
What a pleasure to watch them dance!
This is the weirdest most awesome sort of dance I've seen! Rebecca Sugar brought me here
madoki danced like she knew all the songs.. she just felt it.. loved both of their styles though
OHMYGODD I LIVE FOR THIS
I can see Garnet fusing with Amethyst to this.
i am praying that at least one person will get that reference
Steven Universe.
Ephraim Marquez Might of taken quite some time, but someone got the reference!
I tried to imagine Garnet as Madoki

I get it because this is her dance style
You know, I was brought here by Steven universe too +Nekozen
This is Garnet's Fusion Dance with Amethyst
Second song is "I got a thing" by Silver Platinum & Gold
Thank you!
[Insert Steven Universe Reference Here]
What other songs are playing in this video besides Loraine Johnson's Feed The Flame?
What's the name of the first song?
OMG She was amazing. Both were, but Madoki was slaying her.
They were both great but Princess was more fluid, used the beat to her advantage, & her moves seemed to be focused on the audience, enticing them to return energy to her more!! Both RADICAL dancers!!
I couldn't stop watching Princess Madoki. That said, I don't understand why the crowd was so quiet for Yoshie... she was fire too.
racist attitude of the audience 😁
Before Steven Universe, there was Napoleon Dynamite.❤️
Where can I learn more about this style of dance?!? It's awesome!
both were amazing!
I feel like 2013 was streetstar's peak...
I wanna be princes madoki so bad ! She's so good!
DISCO FOREVER!
they are good
OKAY SO I KNOW WE ALL LOVE GARNET BUT THOSE TWO ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT
Wow
That was amazing
If you can't dance like them, stop judging ppl!
Yoshie is a soul dancer, her body isolation are better then a lot ppl.
Madoki has his own character.that is not easy to dance with a own character.

What songs are they dancing to?
this seems like so much fun
Both are insanely talented and did an amazing job! I think Madoki just vibed with the songs a little bit more.
That crowd sucks though!
Thx Ishak for the title of the first song, so mad about it XD !!!!!!
They slaughtered it goddamn
10 years later I just realized her name is Yoshie so that green hairstyle fit her perfectly lol
