The method of measuring my pots I learned from a Japanese video you take straws or wooden sticks form them by binding them together to form a cross the tall part forming the height that you want and the bit across forming the width bind them in the middle cut to the required sizes I also colour them so I know which is for mugs or drinking cups ect I find this method doesn't get in the way like my gauge does great video I am also slow at throwing but I get there in the end best wishes
