    Hey David when you said the old harness do you mean the extra connectors that we don't need. Just trying to see how you got the 12 volts and ground from. I was thinking of going from the fuse box but the way you show looks easier and want to make sure.
    Thank you

  • @Britty586

    Which black and red wires did you use to connect the black and red from the new harness? Does it matter? There are just 2 sets of black and red wires. One set from the white connection and one set from the black connection. Thank you.

    Also my new Mycar piece (black add on) lights stay on. Is that okay? Should I worry about it overheating or getting too warm? My device is working fine without the red, black, and yellow wires being connected so I dont know if I even need to bother with it.

    • @DavidPerez-zb4vb
      @DavidPerez-zb4vb  5 лет назад +1

      Britty586 If your device is working fine and your car/suv is starting with your phone I will not worry about the extra wires. I have a few extra wires that are not connected to anything, I just used some electrical tape in the tips and put them on the side. My device have been installed for 6~7 months with no issues.

      Yeah it will shut off once you open a door. If you open the hatch/trunk it won’t shutoff, what I do is if I have to put something in the back I will go there first and then open the door, it will still shutoff once you open a door but you get a little more time

    • @DavidPerez-zb4vb

      Afeef Shehada the wire that I cut is from the regular remote start module that have 12Volts. I didn’t want to cut any wires from the actual vehicle for the same reason of losing warranty.

    Nice video , I added the MPC remote start to my 2019 Highlander and now considering the Smart App based on the limited range I have with my remote start, I see 2 Kits for the Smart Phone App . 1 for $199.95 and this one for $159.95. 1 kit has an Flash updated but if I have the MPC Remote start I only need the $159.95 model, is that what you used, I am getting conflicting info from MPC, 1 person said I dont need and another said I did ! Not very helpful. I just need to know what Kit I need to add Smart Phone App to my exisiting MPC remote start kit.

      @@DavidPerez-zb4vb Why did you have to run the fused power ? I just got my kit today and in reviewing the instructions it states if you have a T Harness installed in your Evo all you don't need to feed the Power . This kit also includes a Flash Link Updater tool which allows you to use a Windows PC to set compatible options on your Fortin EVO-ALL or EVO-ONE Stand-Alone remote start system that was not purchased from MPC. If you purchased your remote start kit from MPC then we have already loaded the compatible options for you, so you will not need the Flash Link Updater tool. Contact MPC Tech Support for details.

    Will this module let the car keep running after you open the door?

    • @DavidPerez-zb4vb

      Long Nguyen unfortunately it doesn’t. This module doesn’t bypass that Toyota feature, once you open a door it shutdown. If you open the trunk without opening any doors it still runs but once you open a door to get in it shutdown again.
