Kinda joyless reaction. Shows once more that you need to have a broad knowledge (or at least acceptance) of different forms to realize that there's a pun in almost every line. Mayhem and Norwegian Black metal, reggaeton, alt rock etc. - it's one of the most reacted to songs on YT, and most people seemed to "get it".

Kinda went to the comments first because of the thumbnail and there are some people being very harsh on you guys, like I mean, yeah it was joyless, the humor went completely over your head and that's all fine you didn't trash talked it or anything, it's not a "good metal song" by any means, although calling it cringe as a criticisim when that's obviously their artistic intention wasn't really fair. I'm latino and even tho I usually hate reggaeton it's something I grew up with and is part of my culture, I also love Norway and I have a lot of knowlege about it, and obviously I'm a metalhead so not only I get eeeevery single punchline, understood the parts in Spanish and everything, but this kind of parody is right up my alley, so for me this is genius!! Therefore I should be here defending it like hell but hey, you said it yourselves, you were entertained, it was kinda funny, you'll never listen to it again and that's fine...a shame, but fine!

To be fair this song isn’t easy at all, there’s a lot of things in this song that comes from Norwegian Death Metal (Fenriz Darkthrone, homicides, the burned Church, and a lot more, very dark stuff), and on the either side the South American Reggaeton with reference on Rumba, Despacito and Daddy Yankee. In the Satanic Ritual they burn a photo of Varg (accused of homicide and burning a church), and from the ashes comes the photo of Daddy Yankee (the king of Reggaeton). But there is a lot more going on. The heavy riffs with the Reggaeton rhythm, or the rapper who adds a lot of sexual references (like in a lot of Reggaeton videos), or the Spanish guy (Gigatron), who talk about Satan and Satanic Rituals (like a lot of Norwegian Death Metal bands).

Dato che siete italiani, suggerisco come antipasto "la polenta Taragnarock", come primo "Valhalleluya", a seguire
"La maledizione di capitan findus" e dulcis in fundo scelta tra "and then I noticed that she was a gargoyle" oppure "uranus".
Sentitevi pure liberi di esplorare il resto dei loro brani.
Se conoscete i Sabaton e vi intendete un minimo di calcio, raccomanderei assolutamente Pasadena 1994.
    Buona giornata a tutti!

I am a fan of this band and I liked your reaction, they surprised you and that’s their main goal. So for me is a win for everyone.
My suggestion, if you like Steel Panther, is to check Uranus they made a song about it with Michael Starr (singer of Steel Panther), I am sure they will surprise you with this song too. But if you want to be surprised, they have 20 years of Metal Parodies on their list to share. ❤

Sis, maybe it just takes a special kind of person to notice the obvious quality of the music and to truly enjoy the madness in the lyrics. I think these two dudes were just lost beyond measure. Didn't find them particularily offensive, though. Not everything is for everybody.

In my opinion, one of the only bands to successfully blend a wide spectrum of different genres together with metal is, well, many of you probably guessed it.. BABYMETAL. I've heard three songs by the group you reacted to in the video, and for me, it just isn't it. I do applaud them for trying something different though, which is what we need more of with the current decaying music industry, but it's a big miss. Mixing different genres together is never an easy task, which is why I hold such high praise for BABYMETAL. Anyway, I wish this group nothing but the best and hope they release some bangers in the future.

This is not my favourite by them and I'm quite sure, that is partly because I didn't get much of the inside / between the lines humor. I think you should give them a second chance, preferably Uranus feat. Michael Starr (Steel Panther) or Valhalleluja feat. Angus McFife (Thomas Winkler, ex-Gloryhammer, now aka Angus McSix). You might even like this one a bit more afterwards, when you get to know their vibe.
And for something completely different (but still humorous), check out the cover of Dragostea Din Tei, aka the Numa Numa song, by Feuerschwanz (original by Moldovan boygroup O-Zone). It's Vikings go on vacation (but kind of without Vikings).

I've seen bland reaction videos. This has to be the blandest reaction i have ever seen just because you can't get a single joke in the the song. Truly humor ain't your strong suit
