    I want to take a moment to thank you...so often I've run into the challenge of coming across videos that are tailored to "average/higher" registers...although, I understand it, it does put me at a slight disadvantage in regards to working on MY range...this is the first video I've come across that specializes in the lower registers...thanks, man!!!

    Thank you for these! In pandemic solitary hermit/codger mode I've noticed with alarm that I can go several days without even talking to anyone, then find a strange break in my speaking voice when I do wind up in a conversation. Meanwhile, it's nice to find out where my range is and maybe extended it a little. Serious breaking in the high third and can't touch the top couple of notes, but relatively easy with this gentle "stretching" to get down to D below what I usually think of as my barely reachable F# and comfortable A. I'm "projecting" about as far as the screen of this laptop for now, but that's OK. :-)

    Mr. Castle, I've been singing your Baritone, Bass-baritone, and Bass vocal range workouts for about four times a week for eleven months now, and though I can sing from the c2 to the f4, the Bass-baritone workout is the one I sing with the most ease: The Bass workout is just a little low for me, and the Baritone is a little high. It's taken me about six months to get to that c2, and I was wondering how many times you play it in the Bass workout?

    • @aussievocalcoach
      @aussievocalcoach  3 года назад

      Hi Jim. It's been a while since I uploaded that workout. I will have to check but I from memory I don't think I took the exercises down to C2 very often in that workout.

    • @Catalinddm
      @Catalinddm 3 года назад

      Most of the exercises stop at d2. The last one stops on a c2. I checked. They're still very well crafted.

    • @Catalinddm
      @Catalinddm 3 года назад

      @@aussievocalcoach quick question: do you recommend slipping in a mixed voice on the upper notes? I noticed that I can't sustain chest voice over a d4, unless I use pure operatic sound placement. I mostly sing church songs and choirs and some soul, country and pop on the side, but they're not suited for operatic placement.
      I use a slightly dropped larynx and a completely open throat on all the range. Cheers, looking forward to your answer.

    • @aussievocalcoach
      @aussievocalcoach  3 года назад

      @@Catalinddm yes I recommend transitioning into mixed voice lower in your range. As a bass baritone you need to start blending around G3

    • @Catalinddm
      @Catalinddm 3 года назад

      @@aussievocalcoach thanks, mate. Oddly enough, I do feel a slight shift in resonance and larynx position at A3 but I usually plow through it in full chest voice, up to even c4 sometimes. But then it becomes harder for me at the D4 point to properly place the sound.
      You've helped me very much with every video you put out, so cheers and thanks. 🍻 Definetly I'll get to that coffee at some point 😉

    My lowest comfortable low note is A2. But I can reach G2 with effort. I am comfortable with my 3s. Effortless belting note is D4. But I can reach Bb4 for headvoice and F5 for falsetto and mixed. Is my vocal range bass? Or baritone? I am confused.
