- In this video I show you our collection of antique and vintage salt and pepper shakers from 1800's to modern. We have displayed a variety to show you in this video. I start out with antique milk glass shakers and then show you the antique cut glass & EAPG shakers from the collection. Quite a few of these are antique status and amazing that they are still around today. I then get into different shakers from Japan, Italy, Bavaria and Austria all beautifully hand painted. Like I said in this video, it is hard to believe that we had this many until one of our subscribers mentioned they would like to see this collection. We hope you enjoy this video and it may provide information and shed some light on this subject. We have alot of collection videos on our channel! I love the intro and “outtro “ with the black and white TV! Too cute! You have quite an array of different salt and pepper shakers from different eras. This was so informative. We use a large Jadite salt shaker for everyday use. I loved the first one with the bee 🐝 theme. The Bavarian ones are always so pretty. I’d better get out there to weed and water before it gets hotter. 🌞🌞🌞🌺🌸🌼

Such a sweet collection. So glad you leave them in their "natural" state. My favorite was the salt and pepper with the tiny mustard jar, but the hand painted ones are wonderful. I have my grandmother's green depression glass salt and pepper shakers. 💚🧂💚

Leave it to you to have a fabulous salt and pepper collection like this!! In the UK, salt was often poured onto the side of the plate and used for dipping, rather than shaken across the whole dish, that’s why many salt shakers made in UK have a single, larger, hole. My Dad always poured his salt this way and my Grandfather used a tiny spoon and silver bowl with blue glass liner for serving salt. Prefer black pepper and have a ‘Rubirosa’ pepper mill named in the 1950s by waiters at Maxim’s Restaurant in Paris after Porfirio Rubirosa. He was married/divorced from both Doris Duke and Barbara Hutton as well as being romantically linked to Zsa Zsa Gabor, Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, Eva Peron - the list goes on and on.
Now look what cracked pepper can do for you ! Lol. And of course that is the idea of a salt cellar ....we used them when I was young to dip scallions (green onions ! ) thank you for your delightful share

Good afternoon,😂. The vintage salt and pepper shakers are so classic and love the vintage!! I love looking for old sets. Nothing like them today. I had a pr of cut glass crystal like for yrs. Always looked so elegant on the table. I had some sets from my grandma made in Napan!! So unique and beautiful collection!! Special collection to behold!! Thank you for sharing!! I came up with this idea that salt and pepper shakers could be used for a vignette in February if you had a man and woman set or a couple of birds or something adaptable for the occasion to display with a vintage Valentines Day card or a French lady and gentleman. Lo and behold, your last set consisted of a lady and gentleman on each shaker--- on a tray. There you go--- That is your couple!

What a nice collection of salt and pepper shakers! They are all so nice but I think my favorite are the ones Doye recently sent you; they are so delicate and that 24K does shine so nice and I like the painted picture on it. Your video reminded me of the pretty crystal salt and pepper set I bought my mother for Christmas (probably late 70's early 80's) at a fine jewelry store in beautiful upstate NY. I have them in my dining room hutch now.

Love the black and white vintage touch..... too cute !!! Love the array and variety of all the shakers. I've never really given it much thought as to how many different sets I have. Some of my first sets were given to me at Christmas from an Uncle who knew I was collecting green depression glass. That was in the early 70's. Oh my, I'm going to have to set them out like you did and take a look LOL. Great video, off to find a few more..... You two have a great day. 🥰👍

Love your S/P collection, especially the porcelain ones. I started collecting about 10 years ago. I don't have many, but some. Of course, nothing as nice or extensive as yours. I just bought a glass set today, and a single porcelain one a few days ago. I got lucky last year and found several (about 8) small matching crystal ones, but no caps. I found a lady online who has a bunch of small caps. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and collection.

Salt and peppers are so neat! Fun to collect. How do you display yours? I just change them to match the decoration at the table. Hubby just says We can't use so many! We only need one pair. He doesn't get it!😂 I collect them anyway. They are so pretty! The ones loooking like figurines are my favorites.😀❤🍓
Lol ! The figurines are sweet ! I have little mini shelves hanging on the wall behind where I sit for a show at the table ...built shelves in the kitchen at the end of the cupboards you've seen them but maybe didn't know what was on them ! See in any Kitchen video with cream and sugars ......otherwise the milkglass is with the rest of the milkglass etc. ! 🌺☕🍋🌷
